Appreciate allowing extended gate access while I was moving out. They have significantly upgraded their security and there is no longer anyone on premises after hours. I would definitely rent storage at this location again. Uhaul was much more affordable than my storage with a different company a few miles away.

I have worked with U-haul before in some of my moves. Never have I received the efficient and professional and very customer service-oriented service, I did this time around. I am very satisfied. I am even satisfied with the prices. I did expect to spend a lot more than what I did. And I also received a lot of bonuses as far as my purchase of just initially a renal of a truck. I am now storage unit inclined, as well, and I do appreciate all your assistance to make my move that much less stressful. Thank you! This move was to clear out my mom's passing and so your help with this transition is greatly appreciated on behalf of: Irene A. Mootispaw R.I.P. and family.

Everything was great with the facility itself. Kurt was very nice. I didn’t appreciate that Uhaul, as a company, offered a free month credit to store at”any Uhaul facility if needed.” Then when I scheduled movers to drop my stuff off, the lady tells me, dismissively, “we don’t honor that.” Poor experience, and $200+ in missed savings stings more when you just spent a ton of money moving.

I expected more from U-Haul. We were only told that the elevator had been broken "for months" after signing a contract on a second floor unit and going to the storage location and attempting to move into the unit. This was after the app sent me to the storage location which is separate from the office location. Then when I asked about moving to a unit on the first floor or ground level even without climate control the associate tried to get me into a unit that was far bigger than I needed for of course a much higher price. I felt she was trying to upsell me and force me into a unit that far exceeded my needs as a customer to pad their bottom line. The elevator shaft and stairwell were full of dead leaves and debris. There was a bag of garbage outside the door to the units on the first floor. The facility felt poorly kept and felt sketchy. The borded up windows on the building on the way in didn't help.

I feel that for storage that if a renter is moving out with time before they would need to pay another month rent, that they should be able to get a return of unsed rent for the time frame they have left on the rent.

I was in and out in minutes. I was pressed for time and thought I was going to be in there for at least 45 minutes trying to get a truck plus a large enough storage unit, at the lowest price. Honestly I didn't think it was going to be possible, but thanks to the STORE MANGER! My stress was gone! She was there by her self, she was professional, understanding, and helpful. She went above and beyond the call of duty to get me exactly what I needed for a successful move. I drove all the way from SD, CA to put my things in storage and I had less than 4 hours to work with, I thought uhaul was gonna be the hardest part of my mission but it really was the easiest. I was very happy with my experience at this uhaul with this manger hands down!! Thank u. 19th Ave and Hatcher in Phoenix AZ and look no further.

I had my space years B4 uhaul bought the facility. You messed up my billing a couple of times until I showed up in person to find out it was your mistake , the hours changed a couple of times which made it difficult to access my tools & worst of all you have continued to raise my rate to the point I had to relocate , same size space , right up the street , better hours of operation 19.65 mo. Compared to 64.59 ...... Which is ridiculous!!!!!! The only good thing about my experience was you seemed to finally get rid of the homeless folks that were around at all times of the night but that made it worse overall due to limited hours of use ....... I would never rec. This facility , rude staff at the rental center , prices way out of line my only regret was not moving sooner , I feel like an idiot trusting uhaul to be fair in there pricing , I now won't even rent a truck from you again

The 5x10 unit that I am renting needs to be addressed. It appears that people have tried multiple times to break into this unit. And instead of correctly fixing the locking device Uhaul has screwed on a type of sliding device that does not close properly and it is not properly attached to the slide up door. I am afraid that this unit will be broken into. Please address this immediately. Also, this is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I have rented a truck from Uhaul. Both times Uhaul has had the incorrect amount of gasoline reported on the rental paperwork. Both times Uhaul reported there was more gas in the trucks then what was really in them. This seems to be an issue, I wouldn't chalk it up as a coincidence. So whether you need to retrain your staff on how to properly read the gas gauge or properly check in the trucks and verify information, something needs to happen. I have been a Uhaul customer for years, literally since 1989. And I can say that I am thinking about changing to another company.

My unit had been vandalized and they wouldn't make necessary repairs. My door was damaged and had to fight to get it locked and harder to unlock. It is bent in at the metal plate to where the holes don't line up properly. I was told there was nothing they could do but offer a different unit. I am sorry but they could have replaced the door.

The rates are to high now and you stopped 24 hr access which are the main reasons I rented with Uhaul. Good paying customers that have been with you for years should not be penalized for customers that are not able to obey the rules and ruin it for everyone else.

Storage was robbed of over 10,000$ plus personal items which cannot be replaced. Entire storage unit ransacked and destroyed. Bums living in the storage units, actively there 24/7 no matter the closing time. Little to no cleaning whatsoever, junk all over the place usually in every corner you see. Gate is usually broken due to bums consistently breaking it. No security including no security cameras but maybe two in the most inconvenient spots. The staff was unprofessional and never helpful not to mention rude. 10 out of 10 would NOT recommend storing any of your things here bums do not care what it is they’ll steal your family/ baby pictures and anything else they can get there grimy hands on and the workers don’t do anything about it. Most they do is watch to make a show and joke out of it. Had to take it into my own hands to buy another slide lock to my storage unit because not one worker came out to fix the lock the bums broke off. Don’t waste your money. Find a different location or company 🤷🏻‍♀️.

My unit was broke into. There was drug addicts sleeping on property I had key card and I couldn't get in after 7pm but they slept on property. When my unit was broken into I asked about cameras but the staff said that they hadn't worked for years Trash everywhere no trash bins. This property needs help.

Staff were helpful at times, I do not know if I would recommend this storage facility. I would tell them to make sure it is clean and that no homeless people are living in the units. The facility had many homeless people living there and wandering throughout the facility over the last year. The place was littered with garbage and not cleaned up on a regular basis. I would not let anyone from our organization go into the faculty alone. I did go there usually in the morning, never in the late afternoon or evening. I went because I had to pick things up we needed for events, etc. even though it was very scary at times and not secure, never knew what or who to expect walking around or what their intention were. Had a homeless man living in unit right across from our units and down isle E were a few more. The smell of urine was very prevalent around our units. It is nice to see that it is finally being cleaned up and do not see the homeless wandering around or living in units. This has been done in the last two weeks.

Not being able to get a person at the actual location on the phone was maddening!! Waiting on hold for 20 minutes just to talk to a distant service-center person who is powerless to do anything having to do with my immediate location-needs is intolerable. Never again will I be using uHaul for my future storage or hauling needs. Goodbye forever.

Not only were people living out of thier storage units and it was the most disgusting location I have seen, but the service rep, Courtney Schwenck, was one of representatives I have ever dealt with. Her flipped attitude and disregard to the people in front of her made the experience tha much worst--i'd rather cancel the unit at this location and sit in a U-Haul full of belongings while trying to find new storage rather than stay to deal with Courtney and the location in its entirety.

Need to update the access hours on your website. Reserving the space and racing down to the office to do the paperwork ended up being a huge waste of time. I was walking out to go to the space when the U-Haul employee informed me that it locks down at 7pm. Website said 10pm. Got my money back and I am extremely disappointed.

Staff never knew what they were doing. Always had to wait to talk a manager Or come back when they were working. Actually had to take time off of work to do this. most recently The clerk advised me that I was owed a refund and she would try to get it done for me. She didn't so I had to come back and talk to a manager and manager advised I wasn't eligible for refund. Complete waste of time period. So I left to work early for no reason. Would not recommend this location. Very poorly run.

Bad part of my 4 years with uhaul was that I never knew who the Genial Manager was, a new person starting every 6 months. Because of the GM issues I just started going to Angel or April for anything I needed or had issues with and not even bothing with meeting another new GM to just Have to do it again 6 months later. So only reason for me i rate 5 stars is the staff who ran that store the time I rented there and NOT the fill in GM's they'd send in who were horrible at the most basic thing in business CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 5 stars goes to April who I remembered staying after 8pm on a Friday when I called to get some help with the gate not working for me. Or the 3 times I got in a hurry and forgot to lock my locker, April called me to ask if I knew it was unlocked and then she put a lock on it for me and every single time that happened she save me from getting my stuff stolen because it was untoched & safe because of April every time. April 5 stars Angel 5 stars Uhaul's fill in GM's and hiring dept 1 star

My original order 721030-00109918 was for a 5' x 15' x 8' Drive Up I made on 07/20/2021 and then when I get there today find out they did not have it available and I had to go with a 5x10 which is significantly smaller than I needed but didn’t have the time to find a location with it. Poor customer service and honestly last time I’m working with U-Haul.

Truck was out of alignment, constant pulling and bumpy ride and an un safe truck. Realized that 5 hours into a 30 hour drive. Front tire blew out and it was shockingly scary and they ended up replacing the two front tires. 5 stars for your roadside assistance but the truck was still not safe to drive.

I was extremely unhappy with my storage unit. The price for the unit I was renting was ridiculous for the size of the storage unit. I honestly wish I never rented this unit. Online they didn't even have pictures of the units all the had was blue prints which is okay but the unit wasn't even the size that the blue print showed. I wish I had my $64.49 back. Also, the lady who helped me told me that the access to the units were 7 to 7 but on the website and on the paperwork I received say 24 hours access. She said " it's 24 hours in you own a business and you have to have proof. The gates will lock at 7pm. If you haven't left then you'll have to call the number at the gate or wait for another car to enter." They should mention that on the website so people don't get confused. Last but not least, I got a drive up unit and I couldn't even drive up to it because if I even tried I would have broken my side mirrors off of my car. I wouldn't recommend the storage unit to anyone. I am highly disappointed because I don't have the money to try to find another storage unit.

Upon arrival they did not have the size of storage unit I reserved online. I had the truck full and movers with me. I had to wait an hour to get my unit while paying movers. They then tried to get me into a smaller unit. My items would not fit in a smaller unit. They then gave me the next biggest size unit that cost more than the one I needed. They gave me a free month and said I would just pay the rate for the size I wanted. When doing paperwork the young kid at the counter said I would have to talk to Manager about that even tho the manager knew and was out cleaning the unit they were giving me. The lower rate was not locked in and my paperwork states I have the higher rate. It is still not resolved but I needed to get my items in storage and the truck back to a different location. All in all a stressful situation and one the could have been avoided. The system is in shambles when you reserve but don't get your unit.

These units had not been clean in stairwells. There was urine in a 3 jugs meaning it Andy been cleaned in days. The unit itself is great. Smells good will keep my things safe.

Quoted price and booked online. Was told zero dollars. Cool. Got email to come in and sign. The gentleman at the desk made it seem as though he was doing me a favor by giving me a month free, then proceeds to tell me how he "can't wait til all the mask stuff is over, Texas and Florida did it and we are next. It's just like the flu, flu kills bunches of people all the time... " Im just trying to get a storage unit... and he is alone today, I will have to come back another time to get access to my new unit. The experience was not only inappropriate but concerning. I don't want to hear about covid opinions and I want to be able to access my unit. Guess I'll be seeing you all in a few hours again.

So the staff in the office are very friendly and helpful however the storage facility off 19th n Hatcher is ridiculous. There are too many narrow turns and is very hard to maneuver around with a trailer.. What I do like is that I have 24 HOUR access because of business relations.

The new GM Richard is really doing a great job bringing back the storage facilities to being a nice safe place to store your stuff or house your inventory for your small business. The clean up he’s done since taking over has been incredible. Spending money to to make sure security cameras can actually see people who might be trespassing and prosecute them shows those who might think about doing something a second thought knowing those cameras got a huge upgrade

Let me first start by saying getting ahold of the direct location is ridiculously difficult. I called customer service 3 times and nobody could connect me. I set up a reservation for my boyfriend to move his stuff into storage, when he arrived at the storage place he was told he wasn’t listed on the reservation EVEN THOUGH I had called ahead of time and spoken to CS and was told that his name was on the reservation and they’d even notate it in the system so there’d be no issues. Then when they finally allowed my boyfriend access, he went to the storage and there was a note on it stating that access was denied due to non payment...obviously they gave us someone else’s storage who hadn’t paid their Bill. I’m extremely frustrated that it’s this difficult but I’m expected to pay $84 every month. Can’t even use the dang unit. I won’t be doing this again.

My storage was broken in to and alot of my stuff was taken and no one at all could tell me anything at all and couldn't even tell me when it happened and that's why I moved what I had left there somewhere else that's more safe and that has good security that works.

Employee stole my dead mother’s belongings from our unit. This facility allows homeless people to live onsite which makes and unsafe environment. I have video of an employee going through a unit that lock had been cut due to non-payment. This same employee had at least 15 other storage customer keys that they had because they cut the original. I e sent an text to the General manager and Regional Manager and they did not

I was disappointed to find out I currently do not have access to my storage 24-7 as it is advertised... Because of people wanting to live there -out of storage spaces... To not have an employee there on site 24-7 would make it difficult to enforce certain rules. Hopefully Uhaul will be able to get on top of this issue so people like me who work weird hours can have that 24 hour window to get in & out.

Tried in October to transfer credit card & storage unit to my daughter who is Deaf was impossible. We live in San Diego. Calling U-Haul and getting to speak at to a real person takes on average 45 minuites. U-haul has no way for a deaf person to communicate with U-Haul remotely. My daughter was finally able to drive over to Phoenix and clean out the storage unit and close our account this weekend (about a month later). I would give the storage 5 stars but I took a stat off for the difficulty pulling in and out of the parking lot. 19ave is a very busy street plus it's a main street running down the valley with bus route and the light rail.. there needs to be another way to pull out of there other than at the crazy weird light.. add a separate entrance & exit access and it would be my favorite storage hands down

Upon move in, people were living in their storage units. When addressing the concern for safety and security, the staff ensured me that they'll resolve this. This was not true and for the sake of securing my property, I obtained additional insurance coverage after smelling gas upon every entry to my storage unit, there's trash everywhere, drug deals happened repeatedly and drug dependent pedestrians access to the premises. Unfortunately, the location is not safe and up until my move out date(a year plus later), people are still living out of their storage,etc. To make matters worse, upon moving out the 24hr access to storage was changed without notice resulting in an inconvenient attempt to access my storage unit. I will never utilize this location or recommend it to anyone.

*It saddens me that I had such an awful experience the lasew days I had a storage with this property. I had literally 72 hours to move out and almost with no notice, had I not gone in there myself. My gate key almost NEVER worked, I had gotten locked in the property, alled the office, used the call button much to my surprise no answer for almost 2 hours which is why I was asked to move out. Crazy I was charged for 24 hour access that I wasn't even allowed to use at times. I had to n pay though, there is a male who n lives on site who is absolutely the rudest individual i have ever met. I wouldn't recommend this property to any I ne, oh did I mention l the units that get broken into and noone sees shot. Althiugh theree was one nice lady who worked there. Just one

There is an Employee and I think her name is April who lives in one of the storage units seems to always have access along with her friends that live in their units but a lot of us business owners can’t get in to our units. I think it’s funny she has access to always open the gate when they claim the gate is completely broken but not for her it always works. IF YOU HAVE HAD A BREAK IN I WOULD LOOK INTO MAYBE AN INSIDE JOB WITH HER ALWAYS BEING ABLE TO GET HER AND HER FRIENDS IN AND OUT WHEN CLAIMING THE GATE IS COMPLETELY BROKEN!!!
