I was held hostage and extorted by U-Haul. I made a one-way reservation for a truck from Vancouver WA to Molalla Oregon. I picked up the truck with no problems but when I went to return the truck in Molalla I was told that I need to return the truck in a different town, because Molalla had too many trucks and could not accept any returns. I spoke with the reservation manager on the phone and told her that I contracted to return in Molalla, but she told me that was not possible and I need to drive 30 minutes out of my way to take the truck to a different location. I told her that I don't see how that is my problem since my contract was to return to Molalla, and how many trucks they had there was their issue not mine. When I insisted that I needed to drop off the truck in Molalla as we had agreed she got very belligerent and said if I dropped it off there I would be charged an Additional $400 for dropping off at the wrong location. I asked how can it be the wrong location when it is where I contracted to go. She told me that it is the wrong location because she is telling me it is, and I must drop off where she tells me to go. The drop off she wanted me to take the truck to was 25-30 minutes away. I said if I do that then I am not paying for extra mileage and gas. She said I will waive the extra miles if there are any but you have to pay for the gas! I have to pay for the gas to go out of my way to help you get a truck to where you want it to go and not where it is what I contracted for. This is Extortion, and I have heard of moving companies pulling this kind of shady stuff where they hold your belongings unless you pay a higher rate, but now it seems U-Haul has decided to extort customers and not allow them to drop off the truck at the location they contracted for a pay a very high fee.Very bad customer service and very poor business practice.

Employees were very helpful, and polite.

The 24/7 ride share/early pick up was terrible. The instruction video said you could pick up the truck one hour early. Then when I checked in it said I needed to wait for the office to open. After taking pics of my license for verification, it took forever to verify. So long I just went into the office and checked out with the employees. The employees were great, unlike the online reservation system.

Be more informative and friendlier when costumers ask questions. I felt as though they had a bad attitude at this location and unwilling to be helpful. My sister is an authorized dealer and I know what great costumer service is supposed to be.

The gal checking us in at the front counter not only took a personal phone call while helping me but also set the return time for an hour before the 24 hour rental period expired so I got charged for two days. Even though I verbally asked her if 24 hours was the rule.

Did not go to drop off when returned, this thing of leaving gas at level returned is not good, rental cars you fill the tank, you should have the same thing....we left more gas than the 1/2 that was left for us!

We called and reserved a truck for out of town one way. When we got ther they had messed up didnt have a truck available! Had me down for an intown truck. Had to wait for another truck to be returned. Other then that all was good.

took 2+ hrs to get the trailer rental process... the first workers did not seem to understand how to do the process...a manager came and could not understand either... finally the process got completed and I was given a discount due to this process taking so long.

The truck pulled to the right so I had to fight steering wheel. Customer service representative were rude and took 30 minutes after my reservation to get the truck. Plus I kept the truck an extra two hours and was charged for a full day and wasn't able to use it. If I had known I would be charged for an additional day I would have kept it for an additional day. Bad policy.

Your check in application did not work for me. After at least 30 minutes I just backed the truck into a slot with like trucks and called the location the next morning to let them know.

Originally Was suppose to drop off in another city, then uhaul changed location to maple valley. Request refund or reimbursement for time and gas. Please credit card on file. Poor service.

Not charge for late return, when your text is sent 1 half an hour after the late time. I called the U-Haul number at 7:30 45 minutes before the late return time talk to a lady and asked to have the call recorded, stating that I had returned the trailer in enough time to not be charged. I was charged anyway. I called the next morning and was told that it would be looked into, and would receive a call back. I never received a call back, and the $20:00 charge was not removed. Not happy about that.

All was fine until a you "automatically" charged my card another months rent when we tried the box 3 weeks ago. Your representative said nobody"closed out or cancelled our contract after move out.
