The facility we rented from in Vancouver, WA was fantastic. The ladies who work there are extremely helpful. Unfortunately, the unit we were given for our trip to AZ had been used hard and was beat up. There was damage to the entire vehicle including severe hail damage to the roof. The engine has a miss in one of the cylinders, I would have changed the spark plugs if I had more time. If there's any insulation in the firewall it wasn't working. We were cooked inside the vehicle and it required the A/C to be on constantly in order to keep from sitting in a pool of sweat. I am not a smoker and the smell of cigarettes was so powerful it was nauseating. In conclusion, great location and great people. Just got a bad unit for my move and it made everything that much harder.

There was a wait to return the truck that I had just driven from Bellevue. The woman rep was businesslike, short, and appeared busy. However that firmness broke into a warm smile when she checked the miles and gas gauge and said ‘you’re good to go!’. Overall it was a good experience especially with the mileage allowance that covered my Bellevue WA to Vancouver WA trip.

Rental couldn’t have been easier. In and out in only a few minutes, employees very friendly and helpful, only needed a small truck so the price wasn’t too bad.

I used the mobile app--it saved me a lot of time so I didn't have to stand in the long line. Although the app worked well, I have a suggestion for improvement. The app asks you to take many, may photos. I suppose I understand your need for that, but please change it so it asks for all of the photos in rapid succession--the current version has you take several photos, then answer some questins, then take more photos, etc. I had to keep returning to the vehicle, over and over, during both the chech out and check in processes.

I don't real know what all to share here. There was confusion about when the equipment was due. I was certain I had requested 24 hours online and though agents usually confirm this when checking out, it was not brought up I received a call the next morning that my equipment was past due. I completed our work and brought it back and very politely said I was confused about the return time. And that's where things went downhill. The agent was borderline combative which wound me up. I asked if I had done something to offend her and she was honestly just so over the top. Ultimately she did not charge me for the extra day, but she did not apologize. Rather she continually lecture me about how I displaced another customer and how it's like a doctor's office. She also said people only need trailer for 4 hours and shouldn't take it home overnight. Look, I understand that if the equipment is expected back that it will displace somebody. I don't need a lecture on that. I needed help understanding why I didn't get the equipment for 24 hours. I could very well have been my fault, but she wouldn't even have that conversation, instead just choosing to try and guilt me about bringing it back late. Honestly, I don't think I will ever rent from this location again. There was a combination of incompetence at the front end (not confirming when the equipment needed to be back) and absolutely terrible customer service on the back end. If she would have kindly explained how things went awry, I would gladly have paid for the late charges, But I left nearly shaking form how upset I was. Either she was having a bad day, or she should never be working with the customer.

Is was charged on 2 different cards because your system was down . It happens but I was also charged a $3 fee on both cards for using them at your store. That does not seem right. The 2 ladies there that helped me were great, that is why I said that it was a great experience, it is not their fault that the systems are bad.

this location was poorly managed and staffed. the manager was officious and unfriendly. neither she nor her co-worker seemed bothered at all by the service wait times. when I expressed how long it was taking (45 mins to check out and I was only #2 in line), the manager actually slowed down her movements and rechecked the vehicle, mileage and gas that her co-worker had already checked. i. had to ask the same question 2-3 times to get a straight answer. will definitely not rent a vehicle from this location again nor will I recommend it to family or friends,

Uhaul highly encourages you to buy the extra insurance coverage. We decided it would be a good idea for us to get it because we were driving from WA state to CA. Once we arrived to CA we stayed in a nice hotel. We parked our Uhaul with attach Uhaul trailer where there was plenty of light shining on it as well as being parked right in front of he surveillance cameras. The Uhaul and trailer was stolen from the hotel in bright daylight and the extra insurance we thought had everything we owned in it was not covered by the insurance because it supposedly doesn't cover robbery or theft. We were never told this when we rented the Uhaul's nor did the person helping us mention anything else about the insurance coverage or where we could read about the insurance coverage. Not that it would have mattered to the thieves that stole it but we had over $30,000 of property in it. We now have nothing at all. We now have nothing at all. Uhaul needs to better train their employees about the insurance because we were never told about it nor wher to read about it.

Ashley was incredible! I rented a trailer that was too small to fit the ATV I had purchased. I returned the trailer 24 hrs later. Without asking Ashley let me take a trailer of the appropriate size without charging me for a 2nd day. It was my fault, I would have willingly paid for the 2nd day. She was awesome.

I returned my U-Haul trailer to this location and had more trouble than it was worth. The after hours drop-box location is not easily recognizable. There is no signage that is easily readable and there are no general designated drop-off locations in the parking lot for the trailers, only the trucks. I’m fine with going out of my way to drop off what I ordered, but at that point, it was a waste of my time. I called the location the next day to ensure that my contract was fulfilled and confirmed, but received no answer from the location. The call was forwarded to the customer service representative that was not present at the location. He left a message for the location to call me regarding my confirmation, but I did not receive one. I called today, (5/4) to double check for the confirmation and finally got a response. I don’t appreciate that I need to go out of my way to ensure the completion of something that could have possibly cost me more money.

I was told I could drop off the trailer in my destination city only to find that they were going to charge me $400 to deliver to the specified destination. We had to reroute 30 minutes away in another city to deliver the trailer without charge.

This pick up site was across town, in a city the size of Vancouver Washington there has to be a closer location for pickup.

I needed a trailer in a pretty timely manner and the lady who helped me at the call center was great. I had to hurry and get to the rental facility because they closed at 7pm. I picked the trailer up around 6:45. After I left, I discovered that the entire back of the trailer did not open up and that it was going to be too small. I returned the trailer immediately and I called the customer service line. The customer service rep was less than helpful. When I was returning the equipment, the kid who rented it to me asked what I was doing so I told him. He mumbled sorry about that and continued to walk off and leave for the night. I ended up calling a tow truck for my needs.

Stop changing the location and time on customers less than 24hours before pickup. It’s sooo messed up that you guys did this and the excuse was “we had to make sure the truck for you was safe enough for the long haul” 90 miles is a long haul?? So the other trucks aren’t equipped to do so? If that’s the case I feel scared for anyone driving a uhaul across town even.

Make sure that the equipment is ready to be used before it is rented out. I rented a car haul trailer that had a broken strap. I already loaded the car before I noticed it. I had to drive back to uhaul, instead of delivering the car. That was after calling the Fourth plain uhaul, then calling uhaul customer service, then waiting for them to call back, to be told it would be up to 45 minutes before someone showed up. I had one tire strap on, the car in Park, the e brake on and the chains on underneath. We swapped the trailer, which required the unloading and reloading. And unhitching the trailer and hitching up a different trailer. The car on the trailer had the battery unhooked, so it had to be hooked back up also. An hour and a half project turned into 4 hours, because someone that looks at the equipment everyday, didn't look at the equipment. I had other things I needed to do after that project, a couple of them got done later, a couple of them had to be put off until another day.

The scheduling process thru the online u-haul site was a hassle.I was notified of confirmation of a vehicle, then told by someone at the 1-800 line that there was no truck scheduled for me. This part of the process was frustrating. I have rented several trucks before and never had this issue. It was enough that i will probably pick a different agency next time. This in no way reflects the store where I picked up the truck.

All was fine until a you "automatically" charged my card another months rent when we tried the box 3 weeks ago. Your representative said nobody"closed out or cancelled our contract after move out.
