make sure the chains are tightened/not dragging once attached--had to pull over, undo the chains, tighten them by hand, then reattach. the chains were also covered in what looked like engine oil, so i had to spend about 10 minutes washing my hands at a gas station in the middle of nowhereJacob H.

Overall positive attitude of U-Haul team. I failed again when trying to use the U-Haul app to not only reserve my pickup but also pick up the pickup. Had to go inside to complete the rental.JEFFREY M.

I rented a motor cycle trailer, Uhaul personel and manager asked me to lift and hook the motor cycle trailer myself or just go to another Uhaul rental office. I have an appointment and cannot be late so I was force to try to lift and hook the trailer myself. Btw I mentioned I have a shoulder injury so it not good for me to lift such weight, but instead I was ask to hook it up or leave. Very very bad service!REUEL G.

No issues with this location but the online booking experience was unacceptable. I chose the closest location from my home (which was 25 miles away in Belmont, CA). The online system indicated that it guaranteed availability of the trailer I needed (a 6x12) at the Belmont location. When I arrived they told me that they didn't have the trailer and seldom did for one way bookings. Personnel in Belmont were surprised the online system indicated it was available. They were helpful if finding a trailer at the Sunnyvale location.David R.

Worker react with cancelation on customer complain. When I arrive, he told me someone will be responding. I waited too long and look for other worker. He call me he can help but he wasn't do anything till that time. I complained this. He told me other Uhaul is worse than here and he told me he can cancel my reservation. It is kind of threatening. I just check in because I have no option. Other customer told me he never saw this kind of service. I think he did it similar things to there because policy came to check with other complains when i pick up. Will not recommend and use UHaul anymore.TAKKEUN O.

I was quoted a fixed mileage rate for this local move, which I am used from your competitors. Your agent was very specific wanting to know the exact address of both pick up and drop off location so U-Haul would know where the truck would be. However when I showed up there was no record of anything when I tried to pick up the truck. My only choice was to accept whatever the standard inflated rates are. Then the check engine light came on 5 minutes after I left the facility. They set me up with a new truck after returning to your facility. However there was a gas warning light that came on as soon as I started the replacement truck. Then I was told they had no more trucks. Only option was to downgrade to a smaller truck, which I reluctantly accepted as its now after hours and 1+ hours after my appointed pick up time. This meant I was unable to move all the planned items at huge cost to me. This was and is totally unacceptable on so many levels. How can you rent trucks that haven't even been inspected????LARS O.

Make the return process easier. It took forever to click pictures without proper lighting in the equipment return lane (rear part of the lane) - the lighting at my parking location got turned off in between and I had to drive the truck to a location with lights and drive back to the return lane after clicking the pics.CHAITANYA P.
When I drop my trailer i ask if i need to sign or know anything the guy that help me says NO and i left. 2 days later i see i was charge $50. i wasn't being told that i am in the wrong place and that i will be charge $50 for this drop off. it was my fist time using Uhal. then i called Uhal and after 45 min of waiting i was told to wait for 72 horse MAYBE i will get a refund. so I'm still waiting!!!! 1. I booked a week in advance a 24/7 online on your website at a location, just to be told later that this location did not offer this service and had to pick a location that was farther. 2. When I arrived to pick up the van at the new location, I got the message that I had to wait until the store was open! 3. Called the phone number that came with the late notice only to be left hanging unanswered for more than 15 minutes. 4. Got the van and brought it back with 10 miles added to the odometer and one gallon of gas added to the tank which should have largely covered the fuel I used. Yet, I was charged $8.05+tax more for fuel! This is not acceptable service and hope you can do something about it.Eric L.
Good service from both pickup and drop off loactions, equipment worked well. But Uhaul's inability to confirm a reservation until 1-2 days before the need is really a disservice to your customers. Moving is stressful enough without worrying about whether "reserved" equipment is actually available. Because of this I would not recommend Uhaul to friends.David P.

Your manager in Sunnyvale address: 939 E Elcano Real Sunnyvale is uneducated and very rude person. I came to the office for my reservation. I had my driver license (front and back ) He refused to let me have my rental!. I had to go to my San Francisco Office to pick up my license!. I lost 4 hours in process. Also I have been over charged. Please refund half of my money. I was trying to help my disable Professor to move. This is not fair and I believe you employee is uneducated and doesn't know how to upload picture to your computer. Police accepts picture on iphone/phone however you employee is uneducated and computer literate to know this. Please refund half of money. Thanks . Your employee name was Kevin. Also when I returned the car one of your employee took the key to move the car. When it was my turn to get to your cashier, she couldn't find the key and I had to wait more than 45 minutes! finally she said I can leave and she was going to find the employee in order to check the car!!!.
