That was the bumpiest, shakiest truck I have ever driven and it was hard to start. And it wasn't that it was so large, it's just a little bigger than the pickups I've driven, so there was no excuse for that.

I don't think I should have been charged the $20 fee for not filling out the return form on the phone. I couldn't get past finding the location. There wasn't an option to get past it to continue so I could fill out the rest of the pages. I tried to call there was over a 30 minute.

An employee did not walk me out to the van and make sure that I knew about the controls. Not a big deal but I took a few minutes to familiarize myself to the controls. Never figured out the A/C.

Reserved a trailer with ramp, they called me the day for pickup and they don't have and promise me to give discount. Did not get discounted price and the trailer that was reserved.. Replacement trailer was hook to our truck and not familiar with the size of trailer. Parking lot was not organized, very hard to get out, trucks are park everywhere and blocking exits.

I did notice that the "Check Engine Light" was on. That should be looked into. Also, a more accurate notation of the amount of gas in the tank would make a user more comfortable. e.g. The documentation reported a quarter tank of gas, but it was visibly less than that. Fortunately, when I returned it after putting gas in, in came to just under a quarter and they were okay with that...but again, it was reported as a quarter tank.

I rented a 20' truck. It was not available. I wanted to rent two 10' trucks but only one was available. I had hired two movers for a two hour period. Because of this mix-up, I had to find other movers to complete my move. The gentleman I worked with at U-Haul tried what he could to help me. I appreciated that.

The most simple transaction I've ever had. From pick up to drop off. So fast I didn't think I could be done when they say that's it... thank you for you business. Others take heed and follow U-Hauls example. All online and Covid safe touch-less system. A+ U-Haul thank you...

Online reservation and check-in was super easy and convenient. I have not rented for a long time and was pleasantly surprised on how fast and easy it was. My only complaint - the radio in the vehicle was not working.

During my moving process and interaction with the employees, 4 out of the 5 employees at this location didn't even greet me. The customer service was one of the worse experience in my recent history. Only one person offered even a simple greeting. The vehicle sounded like it was on its last legs. We received the truck with under 1/8 of a tank of gas on moving day. Terrible experience.

Not sure if location at fault or uhaul HQ but I marked “more than 2 days” when setting up rental, confirmed I “understood a uhaul rep may contact me regarding this”… we needed it Th, Fri, and most of Sat. Never heard from anyone. Sat morning the location was calling and harassing us at 10am to get the trailer back - no way we could do so, it was full with more trips to make into the late afternoon AS PLANNED. Obviously not a seamless process between online reservations and the location :(

Efficient and effective staff at Simi UHAUL, I'll go back and I'll recommend them to friends. The UHAUL main call-in phone line not so much. They were misinformed as to what was available, I dealt directly with the rental facility.

I rented a pick up truck. It would have been nice if one of the staff took the time to show me how certain things worked...like how to open the tailgate (it's not done manually). Also, when reserving a truck on the website, it should divulge more information up front, i.e.maximum mileage allowed before being charged for additional mileage. And, lastly, I feel the truck should have a FULL tank of gas before renting it out. Then simply have the renter fill the tank back up before returning. Otherwise, it leaves guesswork regarding how much gas needs to be put back in to get it back to the level we started at.

A little better wash of the equipment outside would be great. The key box the key was supposed to be in was empty, and I still had to go into the location to get the key. Sort of defeats the whole rent and go marketing. That being said, I rented a "Big Juicy Van" and got everything done that I needed to,. The van was great and the ease of renting it locally to me was appreciated. I have rented from the location several times, the employees are generally helpful and the equipment in good shape. I would recommend them and will rent from them again.

I made my application to pick-up my truck in Tarzana, CA. Instead I had to drive 20 miles to Simi Valley to get it. Very far from my home. Very inconvenient. I was informed of this change the day before moving.

Your Customer Service Sucks. The person that helped us had a very POOR attitude. He was yelling and quickly moving around my vehicle as if we showed up late. We showed up 2 hours before due time. We were following the arrows in the yard and out of the blue he yells at us to park somewhere else. I wanted to square away the bill and he is walking away from me back into the office and talking to himself. Then he walks rapidly to my vehicle, with my custom car still on the trailer and he crawls under the rear of the trailer as if he wanted to take off the tie straps. Somehow he became more frustrated and tells me to take off straps. And I did. My brother took off the front straps. Then I backed my car off the trailer. We went back into office to settle the bill. He credit back one day off the bill because I brought back trailer before the due time. After reviewing the bill, I discovered that he charged me $10.72 for “Unload Vehicle from vehicle”. I brought it to his attention and he quickly said it was the cost to unload the trailer. However, he didn't do anything. My brother and I did all of the work. He yelled back “then I will take the $10.72 off your bill” He appeared to be angry. I reported this to the two othe gentlemen behind the counter and one of them said,”he's just tired”. Really?? My brother and I just drove 8.5 hrs and 400 miles to get this trailer back on time and your employee treats us unprofessionally because he's tired?? It was 1:00 in the afternoon. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Your website defaults to odd dates and calendar is hard to read. When you try to commit to a specific date time and vehicle you are not warned that locations change and review of your reservation prior to payment is near impossible

Truck itself was fine. The app for pre hours pickup took almost 30 minutes. The app didn't work to return the truck after hours and I spent 30 minutes trying over and over. Luckily I took pictures of the gas gauge because they charged me 60 for gas and returning it under a ¼ tank even though I returned it exactly where it was when I picked it up. They did refund my money without a hassle since I had evidence to back up my claim but I had to waste the time of going in to deal with it.
