I noticed that the process was more stream lined since the last time I rented at that location. It was quick and efficient. I was very satisfied.

The replacement worker did know any thing about returns of merchandise. Had to call his boss twice and in took him over an hour to give me my credit. He wanted me to go back to the store later .

Got a call 20 mins before reserved time that the truck I reserved was not available. Options given, go to Somerville to get same size truck or take a 15 ft truck for Saugus. My time to pick the truck up was 1030, my son did not get the truck until 1215. Trucks engine was in high gear the entire time, "engine sounds like its going to blow." Not a good experience at all.

I did the on line service and it was horrible. I did not get clear instructions on how the get the key. Luckily there was someone there working or I would never have been able to get the truck

I had booked equitment couple days ahead of time and when arriving to pick it up they had told me that it wasnt there and the person who took it said that would have it back the night before but had never showed up. Instead of calling me and telling me about the situation they just let me show up offer to give me 50 dollars back . After waiting for over and hour the man showed up with the trailer . I was assured I'd be compensated for the mess up. When returning the trailer well before the scheduled time the guy tell me I'll be getting charged the full amount and nothing he can do . Honestly just dont rent from there . The employees were like talking to a wall. Sont waste your time bring your money elsewhere

The attendant did not know that the equipment was there. He kept saying that I had to wait 3 hours before it was going to be dropped off and all the time in was there on the lot.I actually found the equipment and notified him after waiting 2 hours. Then he couldn't get the computer to print out the contract, so I was there 3 hours to pick up a travel lift.. This guy needs major help..

When I rented the 10’ truck for the day, I asked if I return it after hours, is there a drop box for the keys? He said yes. I said so I can just drop the keys and go? He said yes. When I called U-haul’s 1-800 number, I was told I had to download their app to checkout!! I was NOT doing that, and she told me that was the only way, so they knew their truck was back. Then I just hung up, wasn’t getting stressed over it. Called back an hour later, guy said the same thing, then he said if I didn’t wanna download the app, I could go to their website and sign in to my account... WHAT?!? I just wanna drop the keys in the lock box and go!! So after driving 2 1/2 TO Attleboro through Boston traffic, then 2 1/2 hours BACK through Boston traffic, AND TORRENTIAL RAIN, (with windshield wipers that were pretty much useless, needed to be replaced) I FINALLY got to Saugus, and just wanted to go home. I parked the truck, put the keys in the lock box, then sat in my car and tried to maneuver the website, and after all that I got an error response. So ticked off, I succumbed and downloaded their stupid app, still couldn’t figure it out. One last ditch effort, (after being cold, wet and exhausted) I called their 1-800 number, but was put on hold. After 5 MORE minutes, I just said the hell with this, and just hung up and went home. They have the truck, they can figure it out, that’s THEIR job, not mine. Went home and and got billed the next day appropriately which is all I just wanted in the first place!!! Had me go through ALL that nonsense for nothing!!! Next time I’ll rent through Enterprise, it’s WORLD ‘S easier. U-Haul?!? NEVER AGAIN!!!

Lot is dangerous. Utility trailers are located at the entrance where you pull in off the highway. Super dangerous. Also the trailer size I wanted to rent had defected light harness. I was forced to switch to a larger unneeded size trailer. There were nails on the ground in the lot. So I could have easily gotten a flat tire. Thanks for that.

Once I got the trailer home I noticed the bottom was full of bits of broken tempered glass. The trailer was great and well maintained otherwise. The employee who was there when I picked the trailer up was very friendly and attentive, but the one who was there when i dropped it off was not friendly at all and barely talked and acted as if i was bothering him. overall an average experience. I will probably use the location again.

It was more about the company then anything to do with the Saugus store !!! It was all the unprofessional people on the phone , I was on hold for 2 hours with no excuses why They told me there was no truck that I was supposedly had pre-register days before but yet the yard had multiple trucks not the people in Saugus but your people on the phone the people on the phone with sling rude unprofessional unable to do what they promised and that I paid for and unable to help me the gentleman at the store was an excellent the they told me there was no truck that I have supposedly had pre-register days before but yet the yard head multiple trucks not the people in Saugus but your people on the phone the people on the phone works thing rude unprofessional unable to do what they promised and that I paid for and unable to help me the gentleman at the store was an excellent The people on the phone your staff your company were unable to help or explain I wasted the last two hours pay duty or incompetency and was not compensated I feel I overpaid and I will never use U-Haul again I will tell people the horrible experience that I had and it’s disappointing because I’ve used you for many years and still edit baffle of why it took that long and why I was treated like dirt

The truck was clean but in poor condition. Couldn’t drive faster than 40 mph. Sounded like the transmission was going to fall out of the vehicle! The young man at the pickup location was polite.

I made an online reservation to pickup the truck at 8am (this location opens at 9am). When I arrived at 8, I used the mobile app and website to check in and was denied access. I called customer support to inquire and after a 25 minute hold, was told this location does not participate in the mobile pre/after hours pickup despite it being an option on your website. As a result, I wasted over an hour waiting for the location to open and then sort through the check-in process since the line was out the door. I do not understand why I was able to choose a pickup time of 8am when this location does not allow anything before they open at 9am.
