When I dropped off the truck during regular business hours, there was only one employee at the site with 3 trucks lined up to be returned. I was just told briefly a receipt would be mailed to me and I did not even have room to leave with my own car because the trucks were parked behind my parking spot of my own car.

First truck was filthy. Had to go in and was given a second van that was cleaned, But this fan on the way down I had issues I had to call U-Haul roadside service, I requested a second vehicle was not honored with that, so Road side tried to fix as much as they could told me they were fairly certain it was safe to drive home, As did the manager and he said he would take care of me when I got back. He was not there the other manager didn't know about it he called him he did give me a credit but all in all it was just a horrendous experience, I was uncomfortable driving home due to the engine alarms that were going off and I feel like I was treated without respect to my fears. I stopped at another U-Haul in Bridgewater when I arrived with the messages of engine and he also said that I should probably not drive it back to Boston, the roadside assistance gentleman did everything he could he went over and above even offered to drive home with me to Boston so that if I broke down all I wanted was them to deliver me a new van and that request was not allowed.First question I was given by the manager was oh I'm glad you made it back safely how confident is that. Even with the credit I will not be back you've lost a customer

My reservation was for 11:30am. I arrived at the location at 11:30am, waited in line until 12:00pm, then when finally getting up to the desk was told my reservation was cancelled because it was more than 15 minutes late. I was at the location…standing in line…for 30 minutes…passing the 15 minute pick-up window, due to the line, I was in the store waiting and waiting. Now the pickup process took even LONGER than expected because my vehicle was not available. This experience cut 1 hour out of my moving time and was a huge frustration and loss of valuable time.

We initially had a 24/7 reservation at Vins Auto Service, Revere, MA for a 6:30AM truck pickup. When we arrived and tried to check out, the Uhaul app/website said that I have to wait until 9AM for the shop to open for a hand delivery. I had a confirmed pickup at 6:30AM via email and I could not. I lost a lot of time trying to reschedule and could not meet my movers on time which caused me to lose more money on that front. The truck we picked up in Malden was very stinky - it was almost nauseating. The dropoff instruction was also very confusing. After I finished dropping off the truck on the app, some type of instruction for dropping off the key showed up for ONE SECOND. Eventually found the keydropoff box, but would have helped if we got this instruction at the checkin and checkout, or on the key ring, instead of the instruction being plastered on a random wall area at the uhaul location.

The truck we were given struggled to run. There were two staff members working when I went in to pick up the reservation. The process took over an hour, and one of the staff members (a younger man who did not wait on me) was extremely rude to every customer I watched him interact with.

The truck we were promised was broken and would not start, the replacement truck had no gas. We were told that we wold be reimbursed any left over gas at the rate or $5 per gallon. We filled the truck, returned it with a half tank, when we asked about the reimbursement everyone at U-haul agreed that that was protocol but U-haul has refused to reimburse us a half a tank of gas. U-haul's business practices are criminal and unprofessional, I would encourage anyone I know to work hard to find another vendor.

Many of the people I talked to did not know anything and I also feel that a lot of information you as UHaul should have , like for ejeMplo if I have a Ubox , before booking it make the warning if you already have the permits from the city to put on the street your box , I knew because the dispatcher told me because he had to call me because it snowed the day of my delivery , otherwise I would have had problems , many things they have to improve ... at the warehouse in Malden MA they could not find my box because the employee did not mark it correctly .

The self-service experience was awful. I tried doing the 24/7 truck rental through my phone and it asked me for a ridiculous amount of information to verify (alternate contacts, rental lease, employer information, passport???). It was easier for me to just go inside and have a sales rep help me. Then, when I returned a the vehicle after hours, I had to upload a ton of pictures and submit a bunch of information, which took way too long to be convenient. This experience should be streamlined tremendously.

The truck reeks of cigarette smoke, and there were ashes in the door pocket! There was almost no gas in it. The passenger side mirrors were flapping. The truck was blocked in at the back of the lot and I had to ask for help to get the one in front of it moved. Do the opposite of whatever happened to make my experiences possible.

Everything was great upon pickup. I believe it was Nico amd Chris in the office they were amazing !! We were even able to downsize with no issue. When we returned the vehicle, I was told we went 244 miles which obviously was not accurate, then he said we went 24 miles .. still not accurate. We went 19. Then we put gas in the vehicle. Chris was AWESOME told my husband to take a picture before he drove off of the gas so he knew where it needed to be filled to. So it was filled to that point but according to the guy we returned it to we were being charged for gas. Again pickup was amazing, drop off not so much.

So I rent a truck mostly every week never had a problem with the Malden location on Eastern ave. So Chris Rogers was a big help he told me that that the gas gauge was wrong is supposed to be be a quarter of a tank and it's a 5/8 on the paperwork so he wrote a note in the system when I went to drop it off the kid Shy did not read the note that Chris left in the system.. So they charged me over $70 for gas For no reason I feel like Shy should really go back to school and learn how to read since he does not want to read that read the note that Chris left on my paperwork.. Instead he gave me Chris's phone number and I feel like that wasn't appropriate you should never give out a CO worker's information nation so I feel like Shy should get recommended for this because he doesn't know how to do his job the right way

Service manager was very nice, attentive and helpful. There were not any furniture dollies available. When I received the fill bill, the $7 amount for the furniture dolly was not removed from my bill and the discounted mileage rate ($0.89) was never applied.
