The Uhaul location did not want to give us the rental at first even if we had the reservation. They claims that they are not a uHaul online order location even though Uhaul.com lists them as one. The staff in the store was clearly not incentivized to rent out the truck for 2 day period and wanted to make more money by renting it out multiple times which was a extremely bad customer experience. Would request Uhaul to scrutinize the Kirkland franchise for poor customer experience and dtrwmely negative attitude even when we had a clear reservation .

I reserved it via mobile app for an evening pick up. Less than 30 minutes before the reservation pick up time, I got an email saying my reservation changed to the following morning. I called and got sent around to many different people and nobody had an answer for why my reservation was changed in the 30+ minute phone call. Very poor service with no change warning besides a last minute email, and no compensation for the changed reservation.

When l need to rent a truck. I always Use U-Haul Kirkland. I live in Issaquah but drive to Kirkland because they consistently provide a high level of great service that is always delivered with a smile :)

I have come to your location in the past and always had good service and no issues. This time the gentleman who greeted me when I came in did not say hello, welcome to Uhaul, how can I help you, nothing nice. Just asked me where I was going to park my car and rudely told me I needed to move it to 122nd or Costco. He was like an uncaring robot. So while not happy I moved my car and came back and told him I felt his greeting was pretty un-customer friendly and I likely would not come back, he never apologized and said that is your decision. Very poor representative for your business.

The manager was quite nice. It was a busy Friday morning. We were running late. He gave me a courtesy call to see if I was still coming. I just happened to be at the front counter paying at the time. He explained that there were other people that wanted to rent my reserved truck if I wasn't going to come. We had a good laugh when he came out of the office to see me standing at the front counter. Not a comment about how to improve the service I received, I appreciated the courtesy call.

Absolutely a nightmare. We booked a 26' truck for three days at our pickup location. The day before the move there was no 26 available and we had to drive 15 miles away to get a 20' truck. One hour before the pickup (and the night before our move) I received a call that said the truck didn't make it back and I no longer had a truck. After a number of calls with no answer, I got ahold of a dispatcher who was very kind, but to make a short story, there was no trucks to replace mine for our reservation. The only option was to drive 10 miles and only have a 20' truck for 1 day and had to be returned back to the same location. They called it a one way or something. We had 30 minutes to be there so we shot right over. Once there I was greeted with a rude younger counter worker that misheard my reservations (despite having it up in front of him) and told me that they didn't have a truck available. I offered to call dispatch as they just sent me over here last minute and my wife had already left to get our son to football practice (because this was all so last minute). The counter worker called over the owner and they realized that I did have a reservation and I was supposed to pick it up. They then spoke down to me and said that you know you have to have this back by 9am Saturday morning…..right?! I acknowledged, and held my tongue as I was up shits creek without a solution. I waited for the inspection with the owner and just before I left, I asked what the penalty was for missing the 9am return. He proceeded to be rude and say I don't have a choice. At this point I had had it. I had a three day reservation with a larger truck that I got fucked out of and now I have to play by the rules? The whole experience especially as the rental center was an absolute failure. Instead of being spiteful, we used the truck for the abbreviated time and returned Friday night. We ended up paying a moving company just shy of $3000 dollars to finish our move. The worst part, we still have a small amount that needs moved on Monday so I have to source another truck to finish off our move. To say it bluntly, I will do my absolute best to discourage everyone I know or encounter to avoid this service solution. UHaul personally and solely made our move an absolute nightmare.

There was a piece of garbage. I ended up putting in more gas than I needed to because it showed full but then I realized that it wasn't full when I got it but filled it up anyway. Then was charged for the 4 miles I went over.

Overall, this location is efficient. Ken is always super helpful to me, as a regular. The current other staff are a bit unfriendly and standoffish. My last truck was probably the worst truck experience in my 6 years of driving Uhaul trucks. The steering was questionable, and the gears seemed to have issues? Not sure, but it bordered on making me feel unsafe.

The guy who checked me out was extremely helpful, fast, and gave me good tips for where to park during my move. He was super professional and represented Uhaul well. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Thank you! Trucks need to be cleaned. We drove one of your trucks to an event and found a penis drawn on the back. Embarrassing and unprofessional. Wouldn't happen if it wasn't dirty. We would love to see the interiors clean as well.

The service by the operator on the hitch installation was great and so was the communication about where the car was ready to pick up, however when I came back to pick up the car, the person helping me retrieve my keys was very rude and snapped when I asked questions about what the towing capacity was for the hitch that was installed. It seemed like he was having a bad day and I let it go but it was a rough experience as a customer and as a result I was unable to have a walk through and certify if what I signed up for installation was actually installed.

When dropping of the uhaul, my family and I were approached by a white man who did not look directly at the eyes of my family members and me. He was rude and spoke to us like we were stupid because we did not hear him clearly when he first asked if we are okay with receiving an electronic receipt. I reserved over phone for early morning 6am pickup and got confirmation. A night prior I got a call that they don't do morning pickup and 8 am store opens and that is when I can pickup. I had to reschedule everything I had planned.

Move the equipment away from in front of the key box, which makes it difficult to access. After I managed to drop the key in the slot, when I was backing away my foot went off down and I litteraly fell and landed on my face. I had a camera bag on my back and a fanny bag. Luckily I fell on the left side of my face, not full on, and I didn't try to stop my fall with my arms (happened so fast). It took a few minutes to sit up but then I couldn't get up. No one around. Luckily a uhaul truck pulled in straight at me and stopped. He said he didn't see me. He helped me to my feet, talked, and I walked to my car at Costco. Bottom line, hurt my left knee and bruised ribs. Nothing broken. So please make the key box more accessible. Thanks! PS My rescuers name was Jake.

The young man that helped me was great - very polite and helpful. I was annoyed that I could not leave my car in the parking lot or in the lot close by but was told that my car would be towed. I had to drive down to Costco and park my car and then walk back to U-Haul. It is not a far distance its that it is annoying for your clients to have no where to park. I would use this location again only because of the great employees.

I would prefer that my experience online matched the in store experience. I had specifically selected the vehicle that I wanted to reserve. When I got to the store to pick it up I was given whatever can that was "next in line" per the clerk and it was not the one I reserved. Several of the functions online were not necessary but I think that I should be able to select a specific vehicle and would expect to get that one upon arrival. In some circumstances I might be moving a very specific item in which case the exact load capacity is important.

Inform customers that the truck must be picked up within 1 hour of the reservation time or it will be re-rented.. My reserved truck was given to someone else when I arrived at 9am today, and I reserved truck from 7am-4pm. Luckily, Kirkland mgr on 85th street still accommodated me, so all is well that ends well.

I ordered a hitch and lighting module online for my vehicle. I scheduled a time per the website availability. I got a call from the tech saying he can't do that time because he's "tired of living at work". I asked when a better time would be for him and rescheduled to accommodate. The hitch was installed but the lighting module was not because the one they had didn't work last time he tried and he "wasn't going to waste another two hours trying to figure it out." He refunded my money for the module. When I asked him if the replacement part would cost the same, he said he didn't have time for research it and he'd get back to me later. It seems he's over worked and disgruntled.

Agent was unfriendly. Before leaving, I notice the odometer reading was incorrectly recorded by 50 miles. When I brought it to the agent's attention, he was irritated, dismissive and told me it was my obligation to control that. Never apologize, blamed me. U-Haul should train agents to be courteous and try to avoid having agent's like this one
