2 of the three employees were not wearing masks and had a cavalier and slightly disrespectful attitude. I find it strange that one year into a global pandemic, a company as large as U-haul would not require employees to wear masks to protect their customers.

I had difficulties down loading and sign into my account to return the truck. I took pictures of the mileage and truck and returned it the old fashioned way. If I would of known there is a $20 fee, I would have tried harder to do it in accordance with your procedures. It was not clear to me. Thank you.

The 2 people behind the desk took their masks off while assisting me. I felt very uncomfortable by this considering we're in a pandemic. They also made a racist joke and continued to laugh very, very hard while assisting me. It made both me and my partner very uncomfortable.

I rented a UHaul van the day before - returned it in time with a full tank, no damages. Something made me stay during truck inspection and I explicitly asked if everything was good. Employee inspected the van with me - he actually spent ~6 minutes to check the vehicle, he opened the back doors and checked it inside and then confirmed my charges ($67 for 28 miles trip including extended insurance & utility dolly) and said I was good to go. He showed me the final statement with his smartphone and confirmed my email address. He pressed buttons and I received the receipt stating my final charges of $67. I did a fatal mistake - didn't take any photos of the vehicle's interior. 15 minutes after I had left employees discovered that the jack assembly was missing, filed a claim and billed my credit card. I received a new statement early next morning around 4am. I visited the store and tried to negotiate the situation. Manager told me that he put a new jack that cost ridiculous price of $317 three days ago (what a nice coincidence). They didn't even try to notify me (I've just left, you remember) or let me buy them a new replacement jack (you can get a new one for $100 from gmpartsstore.com for instance - I assume the dealer's price would be higher but not three times). The guys also have no evidence that the jack wasn't there at the moment I returned the van and was inspecting it with the uhaul representative. As per manager they "missed it but found it out later when they cleaned the van". You can easily see the jack on the right interior wall in the back of the van and it can be easily spotted when you open the back doors. Uhaul employee spent a few minutes checking the cargo space and could have noticed that the jack was missing but didn't tell me anything. I have never had any issues with any other Uhaul stores. Based on my personal experience I don't recommend this particular location.

For some reason my order didn't come up when associate used my name or phone number but did appear using my reservation code. I was anticipating using the mobile app but like my rental last month that didn't seem to work. Otherwise things went fine. They have no parking for your car if you plan to leave it behind. There's street parking behind them on 181st.

Nick, the General Manager is awesome! He ALWAYS treats me like a King! The other employees just treat you like you are a number. The after hours check in system is a joke. The truck I was given was worn out & it sounded like the rear end was going out. It is tough enough to check in when you bring the vehicle back - when the store is open. I guess I keep coming back because of Nick.

I pulled in 1 minute after 5pm, the closing time. All 3 employees were there but they could not check me in and told me to use the web check-in. Yet they did ask me to park the trailer in a specific spot for them. Very disappointing that they could not spend 5 minutes to check me in.

The lot needs clearer signage I guess. Nothing you guys are doing but it's a royal pain getting through the lot with the other customers going the wrong way down the one way. So maybe make it clearer for the ones that probably shouldn't be driving in the first place?

Person staffing the desk WAS NOT WEARING A MASK despite a WA state order that all employees wear a mask. When I asked him to "do me a favor and put on a mask?" he sighed and gave me some attitude about it. Similar experience when I returned the truck. The other employees there were all either wearing masks under their chins or under their noses. What is wrong with you that your employees can't wear a mask to protect others. I can rent trucks from Enterprise and Ryder in this area and next time I will do so. I'm done with UHaul!!! You are jerks!

Our original rental went very bad, not this one at Kenmore. Kenmore was awesome, but we had a situation at the mini mart where we first rented the truck.

Added a day to the rental as a precaution since we had snow conditions in the mountains and did not want to risky driving in the snow in unsafe conditions. However, snow conditions improved and I was able to get the truck back two days early but was told I could not be refunded for unused days. Very disappointed with this policy. Probably would prevent my from choosing U-Haul for future rental needs.

I scheduled weeks in advance and still had to wait an hour for the covered trailer I reserved to be returned. The other client knew There was a reservation at five And was still late. There should be compensation for those of us forced us to wait paid for by those who were late. The people at the location were very helpful but we're following U-Haul procedures with no repercussions for someone being late.

My vehicle wasn't available at pickup time, and after waiting for a while I was assigned another vehicle and my time with it was shortened. Staff was very helpful about it but on-time return should be enforced.

The person who checked us out was the rudest most abrasive person I have ever dealt with. I spoke with Customer Service and confirmed the details of the rental prior to arriving at the center. I was quoted the price, miles and days. When he went over the contract they didn't match up. At this point he was already very rude and combative. I went to call the Customer service back to see where the miscommunication was and he went off on me. He said he didn't care what they said," This was his center and he was in charge". He also said he was tired of people "going over his head". He said they (Customer service) have no idea what they are doing and have no power here. He was a real jerk. He spoke down to me and frankly scared me. My partner almost stepped in but we needed the truck and didn't have a choice to go elsewhere. He was so offensive that I didn't get his name but his shirt said General manager and his name tag said Owner. I think his name started with a C. When I shared my experience with a friend he said that that guy with the ponytail (same guy) was a complete ass to him a week ago when he rented a motorcycle trailer. If he is indeed the owner you should really train them better. He is a representative of U-Haul and a brand ambassador. I was completely shocked that he spoke to us so abrupt and aggressively. I have never had such an experience and hope I never will.

Had difficulties when I dropped off the van, as the gas gauge reading you had in your system was quite off from what I had picked the van up at. I did follow the steps on my cell phone when I picked it up and took the picture of the mileage and gas gauge, though the picture did not save to my cell phone, so I took a second picture with my cell phone's camera. This allowed me to have a copy of the picture in my phone and when the staff mentioned the gas gauge, I had my own copy of the photo to back up what I was shown. I'd like to think this was an honest mistake, but I know that I have certainly encountered rental vehicle situations in which this same issue seems to come up. I have told everyone who has asked me to take a picture with their camera as well in case this happens again. I am admittedly reluctant to rent through U-Haul again because of this.

Loved the online check-in/check-out process. Great use of technology. Fast, easy, and flexible. Every step was smooth except one. Your system has the renter take a picture of the front of their driver's license. That's easy. Then, it wants you to "scan" the back side of the driver's license. This was clunky. In small print, an option is provided to take a picture of the back side of the driver's license. Recommendation - eliminate the "scan" and stick with pictures.

I was charged twice for an “after hours” fee when I was never informed of the drop off procedures when reviewing the contract. I don't know why there is two charges for $22.00 posted to my account.
