Actually clean the vehicle. The windshield had bug strikes all over it. The cabin stunk and the seats and steering wheel was dirty. The uhaul I requested was not available and I went through an ordeal to finally have to rent a much larger not necessary uhaul.

They even stopped me as I was about to pull out because they noticed some damage on the truck's tail light and wanted to make sure that I documented it so I wouldn't be charged. Give those men a raise and do everything to keep them on your team if you can!

JOAN P.The Ithaca (Elmira Rd.) location has ruined my experience and if it weren't for the U-Haul “traffic†department, I probably will never use U-Haul again. I am currently wasting my work time on-hold to return they're call wherein they state I did not leave the key and left a padlock on the back of the truck. This truck was returned on Friday morning, the key was dropped in the Dropbox, and I didn't use a lock on the truck the entire time I used it. The fact that they can create this issue to waste my time and potentially charge me a more expensive bill is a huge oversight on their end and has ruined my experience.

Andrew D.Awful experience. The customer service was great but everything else was horrible. I was sent an hour out of the way since they didn't have my rental ready on time, despite tons of notice. Had to pay an extra $80 due to their mistakes. Equipment was far from great but it got the job done. Won't be using U-Haul again after this.

Michael D.The gas tank should be full when you pick the vehicle up, that way you just need to fill it back up. It is impossible to guess accurately on how much gas to put in otherwise.

I rented a motorcycle trailer and was notified when I arrived I needed an additional contact person not currently with me and they must answer Uhauls call on the spot, and ontop of that I was charged a whole extra day because I returned the trailer after they closed on the same day. I hadn't even had the trailer for 12 hrs but was charged 2 days of usage. Not Happy!
Damian S.When we picked up the truck it's windows where smeared with fingers,also I called to extend my rental until noon,but that was never noted.Then I was overcharged for 158.15 after I was already charged 180$.And when I went in to settle up,they overcharged me for miles and rental.So they refunded the miles,but I still have no verification of the refund for the second charge.Also I wanted to settle up with cash when I returned the truck,and they added the overcharge to my credit card and then I paid for the balance in cash, but after they over charged for miles that I paid cash for,the refunded the miles to the credit card, when I paid in cash.so basically I was overwhelmed,and hope my account doesn't get charged the second time, otherwise I will be over drawn and you will be responsible for those fee's.

Ginger K.On two occasions within days I rented equipment. I returned the equipment the same night I rented it rather than the morning. I have tried to use the app to no avail when picking up always having to goto the counter. When I received my invoice I noticed I was charged $20.00 for my early return. I went to the store to be told that I needed to check the truck in on the app. The sign which is located on the side of the building above ones head. I asked how they expect that to be read at midnight. They went on to say it was in my contract. I asked why they wouldn't tell the renter of this policy if the truck is brought back early. This is ridicoulos that I return the truck early I get charged for not using your app which never works nor was I told about. I was expected to read a sign on the side of the building. Sorry never renting here again and I use this for my business.

sylvia B.I put not applicable because once i got in the vehicle it smelled like someone took a shit in it, the windshield was so dirty on the inside it had a grey coating over it, if im gonna pay what i paid for a few hours they could take more pride in the cleanliness of there equipment rinsing the outside off with water is not washing it its simply rinsing, all in all service was great people were friendly and i was in and out in no time i reserved my van online which made it a bit quicker

Also, the total cost at pickup was significantly higher than what I was told when I reserved the vehicle by phone. Had I not noticed and asked about it, I would have been charged for insurance that I did not want. The employee should be more transparent and state all charges without having to be asked. Otherwise, this was a good experience. I got what I needed at a good price. Gracias.
Norman P.I rented a utility trailer for 1 day. I ran into trouble and knew I was running late so I called the store a couple hours before the return time to give them a heads up and be considerate. I ended up returning the trailer 1 hour and 45 minutes late and they charged me for an entire additional day. Pretty sure this is the last time I deal with this uhual site.

ERIC G.I've used this location a couple of times. I have found over the top kindness in customer service. The gentlemen have come outside to make sure I had everything I needed, when I returned equipment they worked with me or made helpful suggestions. They've been great. I've only had two issues: 1) Both times I've rented a dolly, it's not been there (and I actually needed a dolly) 2) this last time when the dolly wasn't there, the young woman who was working there was not kind or helpful about it AT ALL. I work customer service, so I guess I have high expectations, but there was no attempt to get one from another store, no apology, she wasn't even going to tell me I didn't have a dolly-I had to ask three times. Her answer was that it wasn't her fault that people don't return their dollys (and it's not mine either, but I'm not running a business). It was ME who had to ask HER if she could think outside the box and think of anything I could use in place of a dolly and I ended up renting a couch mover. She would not give me a discount. I was just really disappointed with how she handled things. But…the rest of the UHAUL crew makes up for that bad apple :)

Galal H.I used this location, because it was the closest to me. It was extremely under staffed, and the staff that was there, didn't seem to know what they were doing. While I know that the company needs to protect their losses, I was completely unprepared when they asked for a contact person, should I not return the equipment. I am a loner, and I don't have very many people that I am in contact with. I would have not been able to rent the equipment If the phone number I knew, had gone to voice mail, even though they had my Credit Card Info. I have used this Location Many times before (AS NEEDED) not often, (Less than Once a year) But the turn-over of staff made it difficult. I tried to make reservation for the equipment I needed But Nothing was available, (According to the Computer system.) This was a last-ditch effort to get what I needed. As it was a One day rental. I was relieved to find it.

I just spoke with the manager and he argued that my first charge wasn't taken from my account because it's pending. I told him I used an atm card and $101 was deducted plus my rental. He still argued it's not deducted because it's pending and told me to call the 1-800 number.

Riley J.Have rented from here twice. No issues first time but here were two on my recent rental. Truck was very rough to drive. Transmission was very sluggish and very slow to shift. Did not matter if it was empty or full. Secondly, ended up putting too much gas in the vehicle because the needle was stuck on 1/4 during the fill. I was patient and waited for it to move but it did not. So I put more gas in and then it finally went all the way up to almost 3/4. Only had to fill to !/2.
