I rented a truck for 24hrs. I got stuck with road side assistance for 2 and 1/2 hrs. My truck was due back at 2:30. My helpers could only help until noon. The truck was 7 qts low on oil and nobody at uhaul would put oil in it but instead advised I call road side assistance. I ended up having to pay for a second day.Tina S.

The manager at Elkhart was terrific. Somehow in the UHaul system, my completed order was left open as an ongoing rental, even though someone else now has the box! But the Elkhart manager called me, was helpful and proactive, and the problem seems to be sorted out.Mary V.

Do a vehicle/trailer inspection prior to rental. I rented a 5' x 8' box trailer and the passenger side tire was basically bald. The location said they don't carry spare tires, so I took a chance with it and towed it.Brett C.

The equipment was clean but I don't know about well maintained. The truck stalled on me multiple times. Sometimes when I was driving the engine would rev up and down and act like it wanted to stall. I was worried I would get stranded on a busy highway but luckily I didn't. I don't know if this has to do with the location but trying to pick up and drop off the truck online was very frustrating. I kept getting kicked off after submitting pictures. Both times I had to call customer service for assistance which they were very helpful but I shouldn't have had to call.Lynn L.

The whole rental experience was terrible. My hour and a half pickup delay could have easily been avoided had the agent I reserved a truck with on the phone done their job correctly. When I arrived at the first Uhaul rental location, it was a slow and arduous process, I was then given the wrong truck. I very clearly requested something that would fit a 7 foot tall theater set piece into for transport. Then I was told there were no one way trucks available. I was finally sent to another location to obtain a 26 foot super mover (at least 3x the size needed) which not only took more of my time but also travel. When I arrived at the second location, I was promptly helped but then spent more time trying to to obtain a truck, original pricing for the mix-up and redoing the contract agreement etc. I was then an hour and a half late for my personal scheduled pick up and then late for delivery of items I was hauling. I do have to return the items in a couple weeks so I'm needing to book another rental. Clearly I do not want a second experience like this one. Obviously I'm looking at other options besides Uhaul.cynthia B.

Uhaul did not have the size truck that we requested and instead gave us a smaller truck. Honestly the whole Uhaul experience was somewhat of a nightmare. This is on Uhaul and not the employees at this location.Derek S.

There was a bit of mixup with the rental equipment number not matching the van that was available (it was off by one digit). I had to go into the office to complete the transaction. I was fortunate to be able to do that, but have to wonder what would have happened if this occurred after hours.Terry M.
Friendly, helpful, checked the equipment to make sure everything was good before helping to get it off my hitch and putting it into it's parking space. Wow. That is the service I am used to from U-Haul!! Business was clean too!! Nothing to improve here as far as I am concerned. Thanks for asking.Allen P.

Everyone was so friendly! We had some issues with closing being pushed back at the last second (truck was already loaded) and moving and had to extend our rental several times and they made it so easy and we're so nice about it! The after hours process is so easy to follow and actually works! We will definitely be using U-Haul in the future and telling everyone else about it!Brian B.

Very pleased EXCEPT ... When I placed the order for a truck, I also reserved a furniture dolly. When I picked up the truck, I was told they didn't have any furniture dollies at that location. Apparently, the person who took my order is not located at that location and according to the counter staff there "They never know what we have." It caused much inconvenience to try to find another dolly somewhere else so that we could get the move accomplished that day.Kathleen B.

Get new equipment don't cheat people on there money and when I requested a truck with cruise they lied about not having a different truck when there was 6 in the lotJoshua F.
I have used this location a few times and it is my preferred location based upon availability of product, service, and timely in handling that request and getting me going after check-in.John G.
We went to drop off trailer that we had for our car. She said she can't accept return because truck and trailer needs to be returned at same time because she said they both were in same contract. She didn't even put the effort to check was it on same or separate contract? Guess what it was separate contract. Asked her if she can give us her name and managers after arguing 5 times she finally told her name and manager but she said it so fast I couldn't write down first time so I asked her again and her answer was if I was desperate to know her name I would have remembered, well she looked like Hispanic and sometimes names are little awkward but she was constantly saying same thing and being rude to us. When we went to return truck, gentle man had a name tag says owner on it. As soon as we tried to tell him what happened when we came to return trailer, he started to blame us saying that we told his employee that it was on same contract and yelling at us. Dude you can't only go what your employee told you, you have to listen to customer as well. That was just not fair to me that after spending $600, I can't even otter a word and have to be blamed and accept rude behavior from employee and owner. Not recommend at all. I own 4 business too, and they all are based of customer service. If any of my employee does same to my customer, employee will be fired or apologized to customer on the spot regardless of time or situation. Cannot tolerate inappropriate behavior to anyone at any cost.Bhavesh P.
You need to have customer check over unit before leaving just to make sure it is ok. I don't like to have to get gas in it right away. Tank should be full, not at a quarter fulltom J.

I felt cheated since we told you the service with return for 7:00 pm, at that time I arrived at the office and it was already closed, but there was a person inside, he told me to leave the keys in a mailbox on the outside of the official and so I did, what is my surprise when the next day I see additional charges in my account because they are charging me 2 days of rent when I only use the truck for 3 hoursJose R.

Uhaul really needs to upgrade the trailer wheel bearings (or whatever the design limitation is) to allow the customer to pull at a faster speed than 55mph. It is unsafe to travel at that speed on an interstate and for many interstates it is barely the minimum allowed speed limit.Gregory S.
