The staff that were there when I checked out the truck were incredibly patient with the crowds. They had brought in additional staff to deal with what they knew would be a busy time, which I appreciated since mobile checkout wouldn't work. The employee said his machine was slow and thought it was the internet. I checked in Ok, but I used Safari instead of Chrome. If that's the issue, it would be good to make it really clear to use Safari. Also, when the reservation representative originally called me, she said we'd get the 17-foot truck for the 15-foot price ($29.95), but I was charged $39.95. I didn't argue when I turned the truck in because I just wanted to go home and go to bed. We dropped the truck off the night before instead of our 11 am time, so I feel like that was of significant value to you.Ed H.

When you change the location of drop off It would Be nice to inform the person. I picked A location that was close to me and then you changed to a location that was a half hour from me. I tried to contact someone for help I was Redirected to the same place multiple times only to be on hold for an hour and then hung up on and then on hold again for another hour just to not be talk to anyone. I called Multiple people and not one of your employees had any information which makes me think no one does their job. You have terrible customer service and to not inform of changing to my reservation is absolutely unacceptable. I will make sure to let everyone know how the service was using your company.OLIVIA K.

I didn't know to take pictures when dropping off the equipment. I found that out later when I read a text I'd gotten and had to go back to the uhaul location since it required location services on my phone to be there. If I didn't do these things I would be charged $20!!! Not cool. At least give a person a heads up when renting the truck.Cassie C.

Wasn't able to rent until after 5 and when I returned the truck the lot was blocked off by like 20 empty trucks that had been returned and I had to leave mine in the street. Overall a rough experience as it also took like 10 minutes to get approved to get my key.Ethan P.
My comments relate to corporate U Haul not a particular location. I reserved 6-8 weeks in advanced with a preferred pick up location. Instead of my preferred location I was sent to the middle of no where, to only find out the equipment was double booked and already rented out. I am then sent another 50 miles out of my way to get the equipment. Disorganized and horrible customer service on the part of corporate not the locations. I will not be using U Haul for future needs.Ardean S.
Very helpful. Assisted with a wiring issue in a very timely manner that ensure the trailer operated safely. Quickly determined the issue was isolated to the connection to the car battery where the trailer tail light wiring had become disconnected. Fixed it in under a minute and we were on our way.RICK L.

Confusion on the return time. I signed up on-line and said I wanted the rental for 10 hours. I then got a call that said the truck was due back at 1 p.m. for another rental. I could not return the truck at that time because it was full and still being used. That was the only issue. Great service from the folks at the Coralville location.Michael C.

It took an hour for them to locate my Ubox. At first, they insisted that the Ubox was not at that location and that I confused it with another. I pulled up the contract and showed them and they still couldn't locate it. After an hour of searching, they found it, then made me wait another twenty minutes at the back of the line to complete a truck rental. It was inefficient and a waste of my time.Tyler M.

The guy at the counterâ€”I don't remember his first name but his last name was Ashâ€”made really pleasant conversation and was really nice. The woman who checked our vehicle in and gave us the final total was also super professional and helpful!Ashton D.
The check engine light was on when I picked up the truck. After looking at it they reset the check engine light they said it's fine and just take the truck. The light was off for 20 miles and came right back on. We ran it like they said and it made it to our destination. The people we turned the truck into said they wouldn't have sent us with the truck. The second thing. We had to let Uhaul in Coralville hook the trailer up for warranty reason. They said when you get to your destination drop off the trailer and unload the car then unload your truck. When we got to our destination they said we can unload the car and leave the trailer because we have to turn it in all at once. What about the warranty? What a fiasco. The truck was beat up. Scratches everywhere rattled and the searing was very lose.Chad B.

We were given incorrect information when picking up the truck. After explaining to an employee the trip we were taking, we were told the we had unlimited mileage and our trip wouldn't be a problem. After returning the truck we had another $500 charge because of the extra mileage. After spending hours on hold I have gotten nowhere with customer support. They just keep putting notes on my file, then telling me someone will be in touch. After almost a week, nothing has been resolved.Hannah B.
