Can make checkout whereby you get receipt of final charge right there as you bring truck back instead of waiting to get an email the following day. My amount was incorrect and I had to waste 45min on hold to speak to someone to rectify my issue. This could have been avoided!Gehan H.

The lot where we dropped off our UHaul in Concord was horribly small and parking was a bit of a nightmare. They were woefully understaffed and when we went to drop it off, we were told to just leave the keys in the truck and I'd get an email later that afternoon that the truck was checked in. However, by the next morning, it still hadn't been checked in. Much to our inconvenience, we had to go back and make sure that got done. The young man who helped us got things taken care of quickly and efficiently. This site needs more personnel to help things run more efficiently.Shannon S.

My experience was terrible. The was a line of 5 people at 9:20 am and there was one person helping. This is Rediculous! It took 40 min to get in the truck. Truck was filthy dirty. I will never ever use this location again and will tell everyone to never show up hereMAX D.

I had a flat tire within a few miles of driving the vehicle. The passenger side mirror was wobbly and would not stay in place luckily I had a friend in that seat that could tell me when I could change lanes eventually we had to just literally take the mirror off because we were afraid it would fall out into the street and cause an accident. The girl working at the counter was rude - she basically told me that the mirror had to be my fault because she has rented it five times with no issues. I had the insurance to cover it however it was unbelievable that I did not get an apology for the flat tire just blamed for a mirror that I had not touched in any way shape or form until I had to remove it - when I went to check in the vehicle no one inquired as to how the rental was I didn't even really know how to return it because guys were just standing around doing nothing-when I mentioned the mirror they only said â€œyou have to pay for thisâ€ they did not ask me what happened. I said I could've died with this vehicle and he only said â€œeveryone is going to die eventuallyâ€ With the flat tire I had a two hour delay and had to pay for the workers I had hired until someone came and fixed the tire. The only pleasant part of this experience was concord tow - the gentleman who fixed the tire was very professional and understood my frustration. I did not put gas in the vehicle although I only drove about 40 miles because I was afraid to enter a gas station with no passenger window. I am extremely frustrated and upset I'm disappointed in the entire experience and will pursue with U-Haul corporate.LORI M.

There was no dolly available at pick up even though it was confirmed online. That turned my move into a nightmare. Moreover, I was charged more than 70 dollars for fuel when truck was returned even though the level of fuel was quick similar to when I picked up.MARCELO T.
Visor broken. Had to remove and hand to mechanic to be able to see out the window. Truck was more dinged and dented than expected for a vehicle with only 8k miles on the odometer. I photographed all aspects of the truck before I departed UHaul 'just in case'. I drove to a single address three towns over, then to a second address 4 miles up the road. We estimated 25 miles to be driven on the given rental period. When all was said and done, I was charged for 47 miles. I'm thinking the odometer was 'tuned' to be more generous in UHaul's favor than in mine. I did not contest it. I'm just the little guy. All in all... Not a bad experience. I'd do it again.RANDAL W.

We were told to put the trailer in the back by ourselves. The employee in the back was fixing his car and said everyone was on break so we would have to unhitch the trailer and someone would email me a receipt. The receipt never came until the next day and it included a $30 charge that had no explanation. I returned the trailer on time and it was clean. Also, as we were leaving, 2 employees were walking back on to the property with food and drink. So out of 4 employees, 3 were on break?!? Every time I've called customer service it says to email Uhaul, which I have done twice, with no meaningful response.HOLLY Z.

I rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer, and the gentleman who helped me hook it up was wonderful. He even swept out the trailer for me as it appeared dirty inside. The bottom of the trailer tuned out to be covered in oil which was slippery and I had to clean the bottom of the trailer before I could put any items inside for fear of them being covered in oil. The people who rented the trailer before me did a poor job cleaning the oil/grease out.MARK R.
Ac was broken and it was hot. I was there for close to an hour and couldn't get my rental that I already reserved online. Only 1 person was working the computer and there were 5 people waiting. Both employees behind the register were unprofessional. Tall Latin guy and African American guy. Swearing and talking unprofessional. They were even talking bad about previous customers. They worked incredibly slow with no urgency. I would never rent a uhaul from this place. I would rather go a city over or just hassle a friend to borrow there's. My only issue is that I reserved this in Walnut Creek which is 2 blocks from my house and it was switched to Concord, 4.5 miles away. I had to walk to pick it up and walk back home after returning. Additionally, there were no utility hand trucks available and I had reserved one. The staff was helpful and friendly, so no real complaints, but some inconvenience.Mark F.

I have never had an issue with any of the vehicles rented at this place. The vehicles are clean and available. The issue is with the working staff I was in line for 36 minutes trying to get a reserved rental and there were 9 customers in line. Multiple employees were heard laughing and joking on the shop area and no one was at the counter. One employee was clearly heard saying â€œwell tough shit, they have to waitâ€, I'm assuming they were talking about us the customers. I do not know the responsibilities of every employee at UHAUL , however, it seemed that they are not concerned about the customer experience. As one of the customers behind me said â€œthese people just don't give a fuck about the customers waiting in lineâ€.Ernesto D.
I ordered an appliance dolly. When I arrived, it was not in the truck, and I was told that location was out of them. It should not have been possible to order a piece of equipment that was not actually available. It was a major inconvenience to find out at the last minute that I did not have an appliance dolly.Kenji Y.
I think the return policy was a little aggressive. I can't control traffic or movers, and I got charged $25 for not filling up the tank. With no response from U-Haul neither. I just think it was a little overboard considering the circumstances.Christopher E.

The uhaul truck was good and works well. However, I reserved two dollys in advance and was told there were none available at the time of pick up. There's no point in reserving equipment if it isn't put to the side for that customer. I planned my move around having the two dollys as I was moving to a multi floor apartment home and had to move belongings a far way from the truck to get to an elevator. I was simply told it wasn't available, no apology or explanation. For this reason I will not be back to this location.Heather L.

Original reservation was made at another location in Walnut Creek (At PostalAnnex Plus, confirmation #: 27043242). The earliest time available to pick it up was 2pm. We got there ready with the app to get the u-haul and it suddenly said that someone would physically hand us the key when the opened at 1pm. It was 2 pm and the place was closed on Sundays. We spent an hour trying to get ahold of someone at 1-800-go-u-haul, and finally got someone who had no idea what to tell us except giving us the phone number to get our $50 rebate, since the reservation was guaranteed (this phone number: 510 729 6642). So then my husband rushed to Concord (another city - we have a newborn baby so he had to get help to get there) and waited in line for 30 mins. The person at the counter who helped him in Concord was horrible, slow, laughing because he was making mistakes while there was a long line. He charged him $100 for the rental (which was different than what we had reserved) after accidentally changing another customer's reservation instead of ours. He never gave my husband a contract or instructions on how to return it. He just handed him the key. Finally to top it off, once my husband went to return the u-haul nearing midnight at the Concord location (so late because u-haul caused us to get started hours later), the charge showed 200 miles, coming to $200. This is absolutely impossible because we only drove less than 100 miles. It was the last thing he had to do in order to return it, check the box saying that he accepts the charge. At that point he had no choice. We will be disputing these charges and asking to see the pictures of the odometer that he submitted before and after the rental). I have spent a copious amount of time trying the phone number the person I spoke to gave me to get a refund (510 729 6642) only to be sent to a busy tone each time I call. U-haul not only guaranteed a reservation that was impossible to guarantee because the place did not do contactless pickup, but they also ripped us off and over-charged us. I am filing a complaint, and would rather rip off my own leg and beat myself to death with it than ever have to deal with u-haul again. You can't call yourself a good company if you are unreliable with reservations, your workers are incompetent and don't care, and you overcharge customers. There was a long line with only one person to get equipment that we reserved. The trailer we rented had a flat tire which left us stranded on the highway. It took an hour to get thru on the web site for emergency service and then additional time for them to show up.Christine O.

I was late returning my rental bu 30 minutes but was not able to contact the office very easily to check on getting an extension. All I saw was a message saying that another family would need the vehicle at 3:30pm when my return time was 3pm. My wife finally did get through and they said they would extend the time from 3pm to 5pm, never mentioning a charge. Meanwhile, before I knew the time was extended, I returned the truck ASAP, deciding to forego getting gas because I wanted to make sure the other family would be able to get the vehicle. I got there at 3:30pm and that's when I saw my wife's message that our rental period was extended to 5pm. I told the lady who was processing my return that I could go get gas and come back, but she said not to worry, she wouldn't charge for it. She then asked if I would be okay if they charged my card $150 and something. I said sure. When I got home, I saw an email with an invoice quoting over $300. I was charged for two periods, including twice the insurance charge, another $30 for a fuel service fee, and then another $57 for gas for a 63 mile round trip! Either this was a mistake, or the U-Haul rep lied to me. Either way, this needs to be rectified. I never authorized being charged $300+ on my card. I called and got hold of a rep from corporate, who said I'd hear back from the general manager within 3 business days. I really hope they reverse the additional charges.Jeremy A.

We were allowed to sign up for a 3pm mobile pickup when the office closed at 2pm and mobile pickup wasn't available. I made a reservation at the concord location on may 3. Got to the location at my reservation time and had to wait in line for 45 min (which is fine) but when I got to the front of the line they said they didn't have my reservation or the trailer, and that I made my reservation for Vallejo which wasn't true I made it in person and had a confirmation email to confirm the location. It's one thing to take a reservation but you also must them hold the reservation. Kris saved the day for me but I will not be coming back to this location again.CHANDA D.
