I've rented vans at least once a month for the past 4 years, from a few different locations. I have to say that the staff at Columbia Pike have been exceptional every time I go to that location. Very helpful, professional, and kind. Thank you to the team there. I will definitely be going back to the Columbia Pike location.

This place tried to charge me extra $10 for pads and dolly that I did not rent, not much but it was unethical. Strongly recommended staying away from this location, #818055, 5654 Columbia Pike, Falls Chur, VA 22041. I used Uhaul many times but this was the 1st time I rented at this location (#818055, 5654 Columbia Pike, Falls Chur, VA 22041)). I returned the truck at 1:40 PM and the counter guy said I was good to go and they will send the final paperwork to my email. Well, two hours later there was no email. I went back to the place and asked them to close out my contract. They did that but then charged me extra $10 dollar for pads and dolly that I did not rent. I suspected that they want to wait until the next morning to check me in so they can charge me extra $20 for the "convenience" of manual check in, as stated to the fine print on the text message Uhaul sent me with my contract. Will not rent from them again. STAY AWAY from this location.

They didnt have the furniture dolly we requested. Half of the furniture pads were damp and smelled like mildew. The rest of the experience was fine but this was frustrating.

I arrive at this location at 7am and I was very pleased to see that the staff was ready for business. It would be helpful to ensure the customers know were the lights, gas, etc. are located! Overall great service.

The employees at this location seemed to be very unhappy with their jobs. And I can understand why! The line was extremely long. Customers get heated with staff when a reservation doesn't go their way. These employees need more help and they deserve it!!!! Additionally, there were large groups of men standing around in the parking lot. As a female, who had to park several blocks away and walk to her vehicle alone, I felt uncomfortable. They were very loud.

I love this location. Every employee is friendly and helpful with questions. Sheldon assisted me and showed me some key functions on the truck as well as walked me out to the truck to make sure it looked good. Great location and wonderful customer service.

The rental and drop off experiences were professional and efficient. The vehicle was not in the best condition (dirty with a dented bumper); however, the price was fair and there were no pricing or insurance shenanigans. I will rent from uHaul and this location again.

Upon booking the rental via online as to avoid minimal contact as we are in a pandemic, I noticed where the vehicle was noted to be and the actual location were 2 different places. I initially ordered a 15 foot only to discover upon my arrival that there were none available. Upon entering the location, I was met with a very disgruntled employee who made it seem that my request for assistance was an inconvenience to her day. She gave me very short answers with no assistance all while on her phone not even looking up to acknowledge me. I then asked a second CSR (older gentleman) who flat out ignored me as he was out side with the vehicles. I went to inquire about the $50 credit for reservation guarantee and the female CSR was not aware of what I was talking about as it is advertised on the website. Upon verification approval, I was waiting in an endless queue and asked the last CSR (younger man with locs) about just booking over the counter. He advised once in queue I have to wait. This ended up being a 45 minute horrible experience. I would advise to rent from this location.

I rented a truck at 6:30 PM, returned it at 8:15. Full of gas, I even folded the blankets! Returned truck dropped keys in box. Woke up the next morning and was charged $20 for overnight fee?? Called and spoke with Customer service, they said the store manager will be contacting me within 72 hours, To be fair it has only been about 60 hours so they still might call. The cab was nice and clean! But the truck drove like it was on its last leg.

I got there and there were 4 people in front of me. Cashier casually walks out and my possible 20 min wait became a 35 min wait so the “appointment” done on my online reservation was a fraud. Nonsense of urgency, no help available. Simply the worst experience. Now, like the mileage and gas and other fees aren't enough, what is the “environmental fee”?? Will never use these guys again

It was clean but the vehicle smelled of bug spray so bad, I had headaches. Even with the tow off it sounded like it needed a new transmission. There is a metal access point in the back (not sure what it's for) but it was broken and so dolly often got stuck, boxes too. The staff was fighting about the girl renting a truck without plates, very unprofessional staff.

I highly recommend renting at this location. Sheldon does a great job of organization and efficient procedures. If there were three of him working at this store, it would be as smooth as a fast food drive thru. Walk-ins or reservations, every customer walks out satisfied.

I tried to check a truck out over my phone. Went inside to ask a question and get the keys. Woman at the counter was very rude to say it nicely. She has terrible customer service and desperately needs help in that area. I will not be going back to this location in the future for that specific reason. Other than that I had a good experience, an easy drop off and guys working outside were very helpful.

I have rented truck from 7 am -1pm had returned it same day at 12 pm and was charged for 3 days ! I do have a picture of the time and day when it was returned. And gentlemen who was helping me out said just leave the key in the truck and we will email you receipt. And because of that I got charged for 3 days!!!!

The location felt very understaffed, but the person that did finally help us was very nice and patient. However, we struggled a lot with the online pick up/return. My phone wouldn't allow me to use my location for some reason and the online steps don't let you type it in so I got stuck. We were helped picking up the truck, but we couldn't complete the drop off on my phone because of the location issue. We turned the key and truck and hour before it was a due and I called U-haul to explain I couldn't complete the drop off online and they said I'd be penalized $20 for it. Which makes no sense, because why would I be charged $20 extra dollar for simply not doing it through my phone when I literally wasn't able to?

The employees are So Nice and helpful! It's not the employees' fault but when you drive into the lot you are swarmed by several unemployed people asking you to hire them as movers. One guy in particular was aggressive. There are so many of them, the employees can't do much.

The manager of this location is rude and hung up on me after telling me how I should book the moving truck further in advance. He is not nice and was not professional when we picked up the truck. Never said hello and never looked up at me. Terrible service!

Sales representative seems like he wasn't really eager to be at work that day. I asked for a printed copy of my rental and agent stated that he had no paper on his printer and he was going to email me the rental contract. As soon as I received the truck; I noticed that gasoline gauge was not full in the truck as agent stated that tank was full. Apparently Truck was in driving condition even though there were a couple of yellow warning lights on dashboard while driving . After I returned the truck a few hours later ( drove 7 miles all together on rental ) I greet the same agent and asked him if he can check me out - and in his usual demeanor said just leave the keys on the truck and I will email you your final receipt. I have rented in the past but I did not get the best impression of good customer service this time - I could say that the guy was rude since the beginning- maybe was my impression at first when I received the car but he confirmed on the car return his eagerness not to be kind and welcoming to a customer. I usually don't like to leave a negative feedback but this time it was hard not to do it .
