On our first truck, the previous customer wrecked it and we were told we could come back hours later , once it arrived, to take that truck and telling us you will do a quick look over after an accident, then they we can take it,; this is a very unsafe practice. Also, make sure you inspect your vehicles well before you release them to any customer so the customer doesn't get stranded on their second vehicle due to a dead battery causing them once again a late departure. We were originally scheduled to leave on the 8th and due to that wreck you had no other 26-ft truck available and we had to be out that expense for not being able to leave and have to postpone our trip for another week and on the second truck on the 15th, it broke down and that cost us another day. We have been out a lot of expense for movers for extending our leave for a week for having to pay another month on storage for our belongings and taking off days of work in order to do these moves not once but twice. Then I later noticed that there was a cost discrepancy between the 8th and the 15th that we were charged more on the 15th, I don't see how this is fair practice when it was out of our control due to someone else having an accident or not maintaining the vehicles that we would have to pay that cost regardless of the change of date because it was out of our control.

Since u-haul computers were down when I arrived to pick up the truck, the young man checking me in had to use his personal phone. Really?? He did a great job but unless u-haul is paying for his phone, I think this is a big ask of your employees.

No suggestions on improvement, but I do want to comment on the staff. In a 3 week span I rented a 6x12, a 26' truck, and a 6x12 one-way. I had several different staff help me and everyone went out of their way to see that I was helped and set me on my way.

I want to give a BIG THANK YOU, to the wonderful woman at the service desk (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name). I was trying to check the truck in, online, and my phone wasn't doing what it was supposed to (I'm sure it was my error). But I went into the store, frustrated, almost in tears, after 3 full days of moving across state lines. And the lovely woman at the desk could see I was overwhelmed, and she was kind and friendly and told me that she could take care of everything. My tears flowed then, from her kindness and generosity. In this time of global pandemic, and moving across state lines, her genuine caring for a stranger really meant the world to me. Thank you!!!

Fix your computer system. I did the pre-check in two weeks ahead and sent the drivers license. Then the day before the rental, I got four texts asking me to do the pre-check in. I called to make sure our check-in was done and was told that everything was complete. When we arrived we had to give them the drivers license again and some of the information.

Incredibly helpful, explained everything that I needed to know, and assured me that if there were ANY ISSUES, HE WOULD BE AVAILABLE!!! Do not see that kind of an attitude, commitment and service support very often. KUDOS to Timothy!!! Dave

Tim at the lyndale location should get a medal - or at least a raise!! I was about to swear off Uhaul and never use this service again. From a damaged truck, rude customer service and an overall hassle to get a truck the entire experience was awful - until drop off. Because of Tim I will continue he to use Uhaul as my primary moving company.

Location was great but the reservation process and the regional Notification Center process was confusing, giving me different information and making errors on the pickup times. Did not make me confident I would actually get the trailer when I needed it!

The website gave me one price which didn't include any sort of deposit. When I went to pick up the trailer I was charged for a non refundable "deposit" of $60. Either the website misrepresented the cost or the location stole my money.

A general comment: On the 10-foot truck, it should be clearly noted that two wheel wells and one gas nozzle delivery cover will impede your ability to place things on the floor of the truck. My husband had to purchase lumber and cut it up to make shims to hold our furniture stable in the truck. We had our belongings closed measured to make good use of the available space and this threw a major monkey wrench into our plans.

I reserved a 26' truck 3 weeks in advance. When I picked up I was given a 20' truck, with the explanation that no 26' was available. The move took twice as long since I had to make 2 trips. Very disappointing. What good is making a reservation if uhaul can't fulfill its promise? This made moving day much more stressful than it already was.

The truck felt like it was falling apart, really had to over steer in any type of turn. Didn't have time to complain or even try to get another truck. For what I spent on a 3 day rental the quality of the truck should have been better!

Thank you all, at this location, for wearing masks! The only minor complaint I'd have is make sure to tell customers to take metal bar that goes with the wardrobe boxes! I wasn't told this, and got home only to find that I had a box without a bar! I was able to swing by another location and pick one up, but the minor inconvenience could have been avoided by making sure your customers are aware that bars and boxes aren't packaged together.
