I chose the pickup location because they told me they gave a military discount. When I picked it up they said I would get my discount when I dropped it off. When I dropped it off in NC, they said I should have gotten the discount when I picked it up. So, I was never given the discount I was promised. I just retired from the military and that trailer was expensive. The discount would have helped take the sting out. I am very disappointed that I-hall would take advantage of a 23 year retired Air Force Retired Veteran.Joseph H.

I would not recommend this uhaul location. It is not easy to fill a tank exactly back to 1/2 full. And that was what was asked. I received the tank at slightly less than 1/2 full even though the manager said it was exactly 1/2 (I have photos) . And I returned it at slightly more than 1/2 full again I have photos. I asked pleasantly for a slight discount because I paid for more gas than I needed to. And the manager said no. Which I think is bullshit. I will be proactive in my disapproval until this policy is changed.Joshua S.

The folks that work at the Bloomington store are the friendliest and without a doubt quick and accurate without feeling hurried. I will say I had about given up on U-haul after the experience I had at the coon rapids store. Yikes !!! Great location I rent Cargo vans here at least 6 times a year, a few suggestions clean the outsides of the windows before guest use them if it's cold out bring them in the garage and clean them I have to clean them all the time. Also make sure the tanks are always full I always top it off full even if I don't get it full it common curiosity not everyone has it so as a company top it off I'm sure you charge the people if they don't fill it up. Also offer deals to frequent renter's over the last 6 years renting 6 times a year I've dropped a good amount of money.Jeffrey H.

I was told if I needed the trailer longer than the time I put in my registration that I would call U Haul and give them a heads up. I'm quite upset when I called that Patty said that the next person who needs it was standing in front of her. I'm not sure if it's in the training to make their customers feel bad about themselves. I told Patty I couldn't return it on time because there's still items in the trailer. When i returned it there were three other 5x8 trailers in the lot. I enjoyed the customer service when I had questions about what's a good size for the items I had to pick up and the hitch and trailer wiring I needed. I'm not happy with the rude response I got when I needed that extension because things can happen when you're moving.alyana S.

-Uhaul employees didn't know the actual gross truck weight. There are certain roads in MN you can't drive on if over a certain weight. (35E in St. Paul) so since they didn't know we had to bypass that freeway which was inconvenient. -We made our online reservation to pick up in Maplewood and we got a call that we had to change to Bloomington to pick up because the size truck we reserved at Maplewood was not available. But as we drove by Maplewood there were 6 trucks still parked there over the following 48 hours we could have used. So we suggest making your reservation in person at the pickup location you want.Russell F.

They will try to rip you off. They give you vehicles with very little gas because there is an extra fee if you bring it back with less than 1/4 tank. They then don't check the actual level upon return as they state they will nor do they inspect with you there. Theywait till the morning and charge you extra.... On our first truck, the previous customer wrecked it and we were told we could come back hours later , once it arrived, to take that truck and telling us you will do a quick look over after an accident, then they we can take it,; this is a very unsafe practice. Also, make sure you inspect your vehicles well before you release them to any customer so the customer doesn't get stranded on their second vehicle due to a dead battery causing them once again a late departure. We were originally scheduled to leave on the 8th and due to that wreck you had no other 26-ft truck available and we had to be out that expense for not being able to leave and have to postpone our trip for another week and on the second truck on the 15th, it broke down and that cost us another day. We have been out a lot of expense for movers for extending our leave for a week for having to pay another month on storage for our belongings and taking off days of work in order to do these moves not once but twice. Then I later noticed that there was a cost discrepancy between the 8th and the 15th that we were charged more on the 15th, I don't see how this is fair practice when it was out of our control due to someone else having an accident or not maintaining the vehicles that we would have to pay that cost regardless of the change of date because it was out of our control.BILLIE E.
