I was told that the truck was a little over half full when I picked it up and to return it to that level. When I filled the truck up right before returning it, it was one tick above half full--ie a little over half full. I was then charged for 3 gallons. They marked the tank at only half full, even though it was definitely at the tick mark beyond that. Additionally, apparently the tank began at two tick marks beyond half full, so I got charged for two ticks of gas. If you're going to try to be that specific about the amount of gas you require, then you shouldn't tell the renter an imprecise measurement such as "a little over half full". That implies that a loose approximation is sufficient. You should instead say, "look at the contract to see the tick mark where the gas is currently, that is what we will be looking for when you return the truck". That is informative and sets the proper expectations. Otherwise, you just look dishonest and like you're trying to squeeze extra money out of your customers.Andy S.

Driver's seat was broken. Had to be temporarily adjusted to allow room for my knees to not touch the dashboard. Fortunately, my use was for only 9 miles. Staff was superb at Ballwin location.YVONNE A.

The trailer hitch on the 10' trucks is an absolute knee breaker while you're unloading boxes. You guys should either offer a ramp on the 10' trucks so customers don't bang their legs, or pad the sides of the hitches. But everything else was great. Staff was friendly and helpful, truck ran great and was clean. Thank you so much for making our move possible!RYAN G.

I returned my trailer three days before it was due and kept expecting my receipt by email. It turns out that the trailer was never checked in as "returned". I returned to the location to find out what the issue was and the trailer I had returned was no longer there! I can't imagine how this could have happend. The mobile app pick up process is not as easy as U-Haul makes it sound. You should outlive that process to customers before asking them to select mobile app or in-person pick. Had I known, I would've selected in-person. Frustrating process.Charity W.

I rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer. The equipment was very nice, good condition, clean, tracked well. The time to pickup was 10 minutes. Very capable staff. The continued communication relative to pickup location was helpful. The online check in process was easy and clear. The online check out process for the after hours return was also excellent. The only concern I had was â€œwhere to put the trailer upon return â€œ. I was told to put anywhere on the north wall, which I did. However, the north wall was full. I thought there might be a more convenient/ organized location. Thank you for your great process. I am sure to be back in the future for my next moving need.Eric C.
When I went to Uhaul location and waited in the queue and when my turn came I asked if I have 17 inch truck for which I was asked if I have reservation or not and I did mention that I did t have then immediately without even checking I was told no trucks were available and I went out and went to uhaul.com and booked 20 inch truck and when I went inside I found some other team member who told 17 inch truck available. My feedback is they should look at the system and see if any truck available and let the customer know about status and if they don't have any at least provide customer with some other options. Simply saying that on weekends we will not have any trucks available is not acceptable. Otherwise everything looks good also it would be nice if they can put some smile on their face and treat customer in welcoming way would be nice.VAMSI MOHAN R.

I understand that the nature of your business allows for wear and tear on the vehicles, and your staff performs standard checks on the trucks in between customer reservations. However, there was a patch of tar on one of the tires on my truck that caused a steering issue and ultimately delayed my move. I know this is not anyone in particular's fault, but moving in general is stressful and this made the situation that much worse. Is it possible to add a few extra check points on each vehicle prior to allowing the customer to use it?WILLIAM C.

The person that was the rental agent (lady) had a bad attitude. Asked questions (insurance) (drop off location) and she was nothing but a smart ass. Called me a f------ dick , because I wanted to drop off near where I was going. The location on the contract, was not what I requested, she was very rude. Spent close to $3,000.00 dollars for a rental, you would think the agent could have been more polite in trying to answer my questions. Next time will go to Budget, or Penske, don't need a bad attitude.JAMES H.

I reserved a trailer several days in advance, but when I went to pick it up, there were no trailers of any size available and I was not notified. They told me they might be able to get one the next day, but no guarantee. So, I had to push my travel plans back one day. They said they would call if anyone returned a trailer. At around 10am I called to see if they had any, and they said "Oh yeah, there's a bigger one just chilling there you could have." When I arrived to get the trailer 10 minutes later, I was told that they had none. So I explained that I just spoke to a guy who said there was a larger one available. In the end, I had to settle for a larger trailer that was harder to tow and used a lot more gas. In addition, the staff was unprofessional, dirty, smoking, cussing, and busy making personal phone calls and talking to each other. The whole experience was horrible.Matthew K.

This entire process was beyond frustrating and extremely disappointing. You need to be much clearer that you may not get your rental at the time or place that was reserved. Our trip was delayed because our equipment was not available at our agreed-upon time. We also had to drop off at a completely different location than chosen that was extremely inconvenient.
