There was only one guy working there (not his fault) Had to wait 20 or 30 minutes to get my uhaul. The left side mirror wasnt tight and would just sag down, so I could not see out of the left side. The steering was super lose, which made it impossible to keep straight.Dennis D.

Dropping off a trailer shouldn't take more than just a few minutes. Two people were working at the location. One was working with a customer that needed a lot of help in multiple ways. The other appeared to have just finished with a truck turn-in that we had pulled up behind and were waiting for our turn in line. She never bothered once to offer or provide any assistance or direction regarding where we should drop the trailer. She walked past me three times as if I wasn't even there. By the time the other person had finished getting the new renter taken care of, 30+ minutes later, she had walked out to look the trailer over, and we dropped in place less than 5 minutes as it should have been in the beginning.Vincent W.

There were no problems with the in person or equipment. The problems were related to the confusion between making a reservation through your central office and the Ballard office. I set up an account with UHaul from past rentals, but this time my downloaded photo was not available to the Ballard office to expedite check in nor was any of the details that I input online. There is no coordination from your online central processing and your local outlets. I will cancel my account because it just makes rentals more confusing to myself and the local UHaul rental dealers.William D.
I understand that the homeless crisis surrounding the location is difficult to say the least. I believe that a high security fence surrounding the entire area should be installed, and some sort of universal gate/lock combination that should be accesible to be able to drop off vehicles after hours. There is unfettered access to the vehicles afer hours and it's clear to see people puncturing gas tanks to fill up the generators for their RV vehicles.Timothy S.

The personal helping my husband at the pick-up counter completely lost his nerve. After my husband accidentally threw his CC to the clerk, the clerk began to say things like "I'm going to take you outside and beat the shit out of you" and "fucking asshole" and "I'm going to kill you". This is so not okay in any circumstance but to hear it from a person in a professional setting is 100% unacceptable. The clerk then couldn't even do his job, and the representative at the counter next to his had to complete the transaction since he refused to help my husband. He was so out of line. A person this unraveled shouldn't be in a customer service facing position and needs to be held accountable for his violent words and incompetence. Period.Jeffrey H.

Customer service was very friendly and helpful from all the employees that I talked to the day of my move. However, none of the additional equipment I had reserved (dollies, furniture pads) was available. What's the point of reserving equipment a week in advance if it won't be there when I pick it up? The website should tell me I need to go to another location or something. Very frustrating. Luckily they did have appliance dollies available and we were able to rent that and make it work, but a stressful start to the day.Andrew Q.
When I pulled onto the lot I was verbally abused by a hostile guy named Jerome who told me to move my car right away. He said I couldn't pick up the keys and needed to get off the lot before they would help. There are small taped signs on the door and inside the office but no signs in front of car stalls telling clients not to park on the lot while picking up their rentals. The parking areas in the wurrounding block are all marked with No Parking sanwdich blards so i had to park a couple of blocks away and walk back. I iwas shaken by the experience. Really shaken. The gas cap was missing. I couldn't understand why the gas gauge was going down so quickly until filling up. I checked for damage before renting but didn't think to check for a gas cap. The facility was dirty. The service was poor. The truck was not clean. They did not have the number of blankets I needed, but still charged me for them. They didn't know where the vehicle I was picking up was so I had to wander around the facility looking for it.Noah A.

customer service was bad in Seattle and rude with an attitude. ! ask them to supply me with the rubber to hold the chain on the Trailer which is a safety issue. they did not offer rubber tie down for chain and chain came off while i was driving. I asked the manager and her assistant worker, if she could give me a small rubber band and she said we don't supply those it was just a 3 inch rubber band. So I went to Rainer U-Haul and they supplied me with what I needed to make a long trip to Ferndale WashingtonGrant L.

The Truck had a mean pull in one direction. It was parked with human feces all around it. The team inside was desperately understaffed. The women we worked with was lovely and super great. Lots of stuff was going wrong, trucks not showing for other, trucks that were hit being sent out. Not to mention the whole process of getting a truck at this location was a shit show. I got a call at 6pm less then 12 hrs before I start moving that there is no truck for me. That so unacceptable as a business to have a practice where you don't guarantee reservations. When the product people are renting are a major key to their moving experience. A very uncustomer focused approach. I tried all night to get a customer service agent to help, I was hung up on after waiting for an hour by the actual agent. So unprofessional. I called the next morning and spoke to a regional scheduler, he was able to find a truck in Ballard (thank goodness). The women at Ballard and her professionalism was refreshing. The reps seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. They didn't have their inventory up to date. I arrived to pick up my reserved trailer and they didn't have it. Then when I got another one after an hour of back and forth, and returned it within a day, they unhooked it for me. I asked for a receipt, they waved me off saying you'll get an email. I get an email the following day showing it was checked in a day later and I was double charged. I had to call and wait on hold for 30 minutes to resolve the extra charge.Aleksandr K.

I was a little disappointed that when I got their I was required to buy a $30 hitch attachment. I had stopped by earlier (a few days prior) and was told there would be one to borrow. But then when I went to pick up, another employee said there wasn't any and I would have to pay the full price. Disappointing after spending $800 for the trailer.JOSEPH F.

The manager was attentive and quick to assist but she was very busy and couldn't do everything. The young guy who checked us in at the counter inside, he didn't explain things clearly, didn't offer to get up and get the pads or dolly but told us to do it, was more interested in talking to other staff about bonuses. The parking lot has 3 customer spaces: they were ALL taken by staff vehicles (obvious because we were the only other customers there), so we had to park in Office Max's lot and walk. Gas cap was missing from vehicle on inspection but otherwise was fine.Bruce T.
