We only drove about 10-12 miles with the truck, filled up the gas for $15 to at least where it was before we left and then were still charged for gas? The system should be a full tank on renting so that this is all clear and not overcharged. Also would love to speed up the pickup and drop off process if we were to use it regularly for our business. The van was not the right size, it was filthy and I could not check in the van once I returned it. The location charged me for gas even though I put gas into it. Awful experience all aroundBenjamin T.
Last time I rented.. a customer didn't return the truck on time. I had to walk all the way home. Eventually I cancel that truck for that day. Today I went in and told the manager what had happened. He gave me a 50$ refund and I got my truck. It was beautiful for a uhaul truck. You'll never notice it was a moving truck.. It was clean! Smell fresh! I will definitely rent from them again. I paid a total of 90$ bucks for 30 miles and gas and insurance. I will totally rent again. The customer service was amazing. They were friendly to me and my dog. All worked as advertised, despite confusing information regarding cost and length of rental presented after reserving the truck on u-haul's website. The he final rental contract presented in store was correct and the assistant was helpful in explaining all charges.Martin M.

Julie from this location was 10/10; really helpful customer service. Everyone else was pretty not great to interact with. The equipment was a bleach scented nightmare on wheels - the check engine, rough idle, and cabin fumes made a trip across town feel more like satire than a legitimate transaction.John C.

I think it would help to have basic vehicle control instructions on a one-page graphic in the van. My friend and I took about 10 minutes to figure out enabling/disabling the parking brake, shifting gears, and weren't sure if mirrors were adjustable. Though I imagine that's less of an issue for those with experience driving something larger than a sedan :) Excellent service otherwise!Andrey R.

When I was returning the trailer there was a uhaul truck parked right infront of the original parking lot for the trailer so I couldn't park the trailer back to the original spot. I wish the place is more organized.yingxuan Z.

I have not rented from U-Haul in at least 10 years and will probably never again. I am a realtor, and I will never recommend you. Please call if you would like feedback. Not particularly the Leary Way locations problem, but U-Haul Company and the website.Kim K.
My original reservation for the auto transport and it was supposed to be picked up in Renton. Ryan, the Asst Mgr, stated he understood the major inconvenience of their location in accordance to my location. Ryan offered to meet at the Renton location at 545am to help accommodate us on the morning of Apr 28th. Ryan no-showed and when I called the Renton location the gal who answered said that was typical of his behavior and that it was his day off. There happened to be an auto transport at the ballard location but I was told I couldn't have that one because â€œtransitâ€ already assigned me the one in Renton. I called the Transit/dispatch line and they stated I could use that Auto Transport. Major inconvenience all the way around and PURELY unprofessional of Ryan, especially being an Asst Mgr.james L.

I spent a lot of time and gave a lot of personal information ahead of time while reserving the truck, yet still had to wait in line when I hit there. If I still have to wait, I'm not sure what the benefits was of preregistration and giving out personal info over the internet I liked the ability to snap current pictures of the truck before heading out!Michael E.

I think it would be helpful to those that are sensitive to fragrances to change to a cleaning solution that is unscented. The cleaning smell in the van we rented was very strong. So strong we had to open all the windows while we drove the entire time. Otherwise everything was great!Louise S.

Pick up was fast and easy this time, but drop off was really bad. I waited in the truck (as instructed) for 20 minutes and no one came outside - so I called 3 times to no answer, and then went into the lobby and there was a line of like 20 people waiting for one cashier (who was really nice & doing awesome, but just didn't have help). A person had come up behind me about 10 mins after I arrived to return their truck and he went into the lobby before me, so was able to get out of there before me, kind of frustrating. I waited for several people in the line to go and realizing I was going to be stuck for another 30+ mins if I didn't jump in, I just asked the cashier if there was anyone to help with returns outside. He said they didn't have enough staff so let me just drop my key and leave. He was really nice - so noooo complaints on him at all, just really need more staff at this location. This is the second time in the past two months that I've had something similar happen. Thanks for considering this comment!Sarah N.

They will charge you over fine print and are obviously not interested in repeat business...i returned all my equipment at the agreed time but yet I'm still charged for another day and somehow add mileage charges and whatever other fees for the truck sitting in their parking lot. They probably rented it so they actually made double on the same truck... nice move! Oh but it's because i didn't download their app???? there are so many issues with that... not everyone has a mobile device, not everyone has space to download additional apps, some people have bad service, just to name a few. On top of that NO ONE informed me about this, but it's in their fine print so it's covered???? WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO JUST DO HONEST BUSINESS????????? nothing will change... i can't do anything on my own except never give them my business or any of my friends business ever again... maybe one day I'll be able to reach enough people where it will make a difference so you guys stop running a shady business... please enjoy the overcharge you stole from me and I hope it was well worth itSeung Y.
I have no complaints about the location, per se, but somebody didn't return a truck so I find out the morning I need it that my truck is unavailable and it's up to me to either drive somewhere much further (Kenmore is technically 7 miles away, but what was going to be a walk on my lunch hour to get the truck is now an hour plus drive to get to and from Kenmore). No help from uhaul to do that driving for me. Had to agree to a vehicle that wasn't what I wanted, paying more because my insurance won't cover me for that type of vehicle. Disappointing.Lisa D.

The mirror was broken and you could tell that someone tried to fix/ glue it. While I was driving the mirror (drivers side) was shaking and it made it extremely hard to use and it was unsafe for someone to rent. The cleaners used in the truck were super strong and I had a headache from the chemicals all day and until I went to bed that night. It was very powerful and I had to drive with the window down because it was so toxic. The gentleman who helped me upon check out was very friendly and he took my polite feedback very well. He deserves a raise. Besides him being so pleasant my experience was well below enjoyable and I will not be renting from uhaul again unless I feel like you really appreciate my business. The only feedback for the location is having some better signage, especially about parking. There are only 2 spots for customers and 1 of them is handicapped. You have to park on the street and half the spots are taken by U-Haul trucks! My main issue is with the U-Haul web site and the terrible experience it provides. When trying to return my truck, which was after hours on a Sunday evening, I tried to use the web site and used my email address and last name. it said it would email me a verification code. After trying that twice and not receiving an email after 15 minutes (and I've still never received one!) I tried to call customer service. The message said I have a wait of 20 to 30 minutes. Nope, not sitting in your parking lot for 30 minutes. Finally found the Live Chat option, where it said it would be a 5 minute wait. After 5 minutes, I left and went for dinner. The agent finally responded to chat after more than 20 minutes and was able to provide the information needed to complete my return which I did after my dinner. The Return process shouldn't be a mystery, just post the process in the truck or send it with the contract! After all, you certainly had no problem emailing that!Stephen H.

In general, it would be nice when you make a pick-up appointment at a certain location, that U-Haul honors that. Even though I made the reservation a month in advance, I got a call a few days before pick-up saying that I had to pick up elsewhere. For someone who travelled out of town, with no vehicle, it was quite inconvenient. Maybe, if that location doesn't have a vehicle to honor that reservation, u-Haul should move that truck to the correct location, instead of inconveniencing the customer. I'm not going to lie, after reading numerous reviews, I had an inkling it was going to happen. It just caused more stress than I needed to deal with.Tara P.
