My experience was horrible. The truck I reserved was not there there was not a replacement truck and we had to get a van. Which made the moving process twice as long. On top of all that we were changed more for the van than for the truck we originally reserved. Having to go through all of this made moving while 8 months pregnant even harder.Charles L.

I reserved a vehicle via online, called the location to verify the reservation. Was told it would definitely be available. When I arrived I waited 10-20 minutes in line. When I told the associate that I reserved a 15ft truck. He repeated me then left the desk for about 25 minutes with me sitting and waiting, unsure of what is going on. The other agent assisted 2-3 other customers while I wait for this guy to return. When he finally returned, he got on the phone and proceeded to discuss a different customer's issues regarding insurance on a ubox. I then called my husband to express my frustration. Then he began to ask the person on the phone about my truck. With no communication from him. I looked back at my online reservation which now shows canceled. I ask why it has been canceled and he tells me that he didn't cancel me out but that the only â€œDCâ€ that he has was returned to the wrong location and has probably been reported stolen so he doesn't have a truck to give me. I then asked if there is a smaller truck or different truck that I could get. He said no but I could check around the other locations. At this point I've been here for 1.5hours. I am an hour behind my schedule which is a work related day trip. As a managing partner/ proprietor of a restaurant, I work in customer service daily. I could understand the technical challenge presented on the day, but the total lack of empathy around the matter is an issue for me. This gentleman seemed to careless that I had been held up for over an hour with no actual attempt to resolve my issue (truly UHaul's issue). I initially left the building feeling defeated when I decided to call customer service to see my other options since I was guaranteed a vehicle. The lady offered me a $50 credit back to my account and a vehicle available 2 hours later. I accepted and went back inside to verify. The lady who assisted me then, (Rachel) I believe was her name was quite polite and much more professional.Jabriel D.

The Guy name Timothy that works there looks throwed away ,is very unprofessional and very rude.He fabricated paperwork saying he was the one who rented me the uhaul and he wasn't the one a lady did and I'm being charged for days i didn't have the uhaul .i called and went to the facility to address the issue and he made smart remarks towards me and my family.He called me and i said that i was owed money they charged me to much and then i get a notification of my card being declined for a payment for $272 the day after.I will never spend another dime in that facility if he continues to work there.KIMBERLY B.

The employee Rachel was horrible and rude I arrived to drop off and waited over an hour he was on break and store was unlocked unattended. Other customers were waiting for over2 hours after Rachel finally returned to the store I asked for a receipt was rude and told me I would have to wait I was waiting over an hour he then said he would push the button to get me out of the store the customer service is horrible at the store at 820 Oglethorpe in Albany something really needs to be done I will never use haul again after this I will also tell anyone I know not to use uhaul as wellToney F.

Although the problem was fixed before I got on the road, some situations should not have happened. I was put in the wrong truck and dolly for my trip, and I had to come back the next day, when I needed to be already on the road. When I got there. No one had no recollection that the truck I needed was outside. I had a voicemail from the previous day saying that my truck would be there. I had to step outside and and see my truck already put together, but filthy. I had to wait although I was the second person there. Three ppl were put in front of me, while I had to unload my previous truck with all the furniture to the new one. When I looked in the cabin, another problem. It was filthy! I told the person I would help clean ðŸ§¼ clean it to save time. I got there at 8:40, but it didn't open until 5 after 9. I left around 11am. I get on the road spent over 225 dollars in gas. That is unheard of. Bcuz the truck ðŸ›» frequently needed refilled. For a one way trip that should not be. I tried calling, and was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up.Shantel J.

Both customer service/rental agents were very nice and patient. There was a shortage of trucks and weren't enough to fill all reservations but they handled the situation in a professional manner and found an agreed upon solution to meet everyone es needsDawn R.
The wait was longer than expected. There were two employees on duty, only one handling check ins and returns. More than 3 customers waiting in line. I arrived at 9:20 am, my reservations were for 9:30 am Didn't get to the register until 9:42 am.VIRGINIA D.
Customer service needs to be improved some. I wasn't able to close my account out because there was no one available. The one gentleman that came out just told me to leave the key. Overcharged, how dare they charge me $39 for a 19.95 rental. The entire uhaul experience is a joke now, no guarantee they'll have the truck you reserved, only excuses. NEEDED. A 10 ft truck, which I reserved 4 days in advance, but had to take a cargo van instead when I went to pick it up, then had to make extra trips which cost me time and money. Calling uhaul customer service is also a pathetic joke. I spent over 4 hours on hold. The once good company that made it easy to get a truck now makes it a stressful experience. It took me an hour & a half to get a 5X8 enclosed trailer. Absolutely ridiculous wait time. Then I found the trailer full of rotted fabric furniture - couch & chairs etc. Notified the U-Haul employee and instead of assigning me a different clean trailer just pulled the contents out into a pile. It dawned on me when I got home to load up my items that the trailer could have been full of bed bugs from the rotten furniture. Had to clean out and apply alcohol spray to ensure that the loaded items wouldn't be affected by any possible bed bug eggs / larvae & any adult bugs that could be in the trailer.. Absolutely worst U-Haul experience. I wont darken the door to that U-Haul store door ever again !!DAVID A.

I scheduled for a pick up on Saturday and when I got there they told no trucks was available and to come get one Sunday, well I couldn't move what I needed to move Sunday and had to wait until Monday but they told me I had to have the truck back before I could move what I had to move. She checked me out late because she was helping other customers so I asked if my time could be changed because I only needed a extra hour. She told me no and that I would be charged for a extra day even after she checked me out late only to get to a truck with messed up gears delaying my time even further and she still wouldn't change my time even thought it would've been back before the next scheduled booking. I also called and was advised that management would be calling me back to see if the issue could be resolved and I never received a call back so it was terrible customer service for me and I've never had this type of experience with uhaul before and I would probably never rent from you all again!!LAKETA M.

My experience at this location was amazing ! My rental agent was Rachel H. She expressed kindness and patience during her extremely busy afternoon. Rachel made each customer before me feel as if they were the only customer in the store, as she did with myself also. I will definitely recommend this location to my friends and family in the future. I picked up a trailer from a second location the day after an initial reservation. The first one, which required a 25 mile drive, did not have the trailer available that I reserved. Disrupted and delayed by a day my plans. Your Customer Service Dept tries to help, but is completely understaffed; waits of almost an hour in order to speak to someone is unacceptable.Vic S.

The customer service was HORRIBLE. I had to wait over 30 minutes for my transaction to be completed because other workers kept interrupting the manager with questions. The manager was getting smart about the fact that I needed a bank card. I told him my card was from a bank regardless of the card saying debit. I had to leave and get another card that had debit on it from a different bank without showing him the card and the transaction went through just fine. When returning the vehicle, the store was completely empty of workers. I wanted 5 minutes before someone came, but another customer in the store said she had been there 30 minutes before I arrived waiting for help. We walked around the whole outside and back of building and no one was still around. I had no problem with the equipment or my U Haul transaction. Gracias.TANESHIA S.

U-Haul is over-booking on the internet booking service. I watched a number of prospective customers walk out disgusted and angry because the equipment they had reserved on-line was not available at our local store. The only saving grace was the flexibility and willingness to accommodate displayed by the local staff. That is how I managed to get the truck and auto-dolly that I needed. I did have to wait for a while but the store manager got me what I needed. Your on-line booking service does not appear to be serving either your customers or your local service centers well. There is a disconnect between what your computers are telling you is available and what is actually available on the ground. It's a poor business model if customer satisfaction is the goal.LLOYD W.

I had absolutely no problem with the storage storage solutions, my problem was with scheduling. They changed my pick up location with no heads up. I had to drive 45 minutes out the way to get a truck I reserved more than 2 weeks ago. I'm left with the impression that reservations means little or nothing and I got tired of hearing fake apologies! I drove an hour and a half to find out the truck promised me was gone yesterday and I had to call to find this out, no courtesy call from uhaul customer courtesy. I'm disappointed in my experience on yesterday and overbooking appears to be common practice. MAYBE WE ARE IN A SEASON WHERE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS RAN ITS COURSE!!!Bennie R. | First Impressions

I paid ober $1000 for storage during covid19 pandemic and was charged late fees within 2 days of being late(during a worldwide pandemic). Spoke with corporate and no results.
