While I was checking in online, the truck I was originally supposed to rent got rented to another person & I had to track down a completely different vehicle. Maybe that should be prevented somehow.

I made a reservation for a 15 foot truck, two Furniture dolly's, a APPLIANCE dolly, and blankets. I made this reservation about a week ago or so. Today I arrive to pick up my order, to then be told that they did not have the appliance dolly. I became upset due to the importance of my timing and tools I requested in advance. The appliance dolly was the most important tool needed. I never got any notification informing me that the requested items were not available so that I can better prepare. I became upset and confrontational with the manager who was also assisting me before finding this out. Aaron Treadway. I argued with A.T that I now have to do their job by going to another location to get the appliance dolly, put miles on the truck that I have to pay for, and also put gas in the truck. I did curse at him a couple of different times. And was kinda nasty to him. Mr. Treadway on the other hand, was VERY respectful, kind, understanding, and calm the whole time. I give him major kudos for that. And somehow, he found a way to calm me down. It was both his calmness and also finding out that today is his birthday. So I felt pretty bad that I'm acting out towards him on his birthday. Mr. Treadway offered to call another location for the dolly, and also refunded me $50 for the gas and miles put on the truck to do this. However, the fact of the matter is that I made a reservation a week in advance, and I'm now being told that the added on items are not guaranteed for the customer. I was also told that they were basically short staffed and could not get the time themselves . (In which I understand this due to Covid reasons) So why make a reservation for them if they are not guaranteed?! It's pointless! Especially when I made this reservation a week in advance. That's more than enough time to get the item(s) and hold them for the customers, no matter what. Everything else I requested was in the truck. Thankfully I didn't have to go out of my way for them. As I had told mr. Treadway, I was on a time sensitive schedule and made the reservations. It's their job to get them, not mine or any other customers job. I strongly feel that this needs to be corrected at all u-haul branches. I said yes I'd recommend this location to another person, however this issue would also be said to them in fair warning. I'm only saying yes BECAUSE of Aaron. His professional manner would also be mentioned.

Truck was filthy inside and out. Understand the outside being dirty as we had snow recently but the interior smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and there was ash on the dashboard. Had not looked like they had cleaned it out for awhile.

I can't think of anything u haul could do to improve. They were friendly and helpful. I reserved the truck and another person drove it. even when the person I was renting the truck with was in a bad mood and acted rude and disrespectful u haul kept calm and cool through this embarrassing situation Thanks for handling everything in a appropriate manner u haul!

My experience with this facility was fine! they were very helpful. I did however have not-so-good interactions with the national call center both in changing my pickup location (not my choice) and actually trying to pick up the vehicle. But this facility was helpful in resolving.

Overall, a good experience. I originally had rented my trailer from the Plymouth, MI location, but when I went there, no trailer was available. They found a trailer in Ypsilanti, MI instead, which was 30 minutes west...not the most convenient, but I appreciated them finding one for me. The folks in Ypsilanti were great and I appreciate their hard work to accommodate me on NO notice!

$100 clean up fee for dirt is ridiculous and not clear in the rental agreement. I left no trash in the vehicle and can't figure out what else they had to clean besides mud. I had to drive down a dirt road. Sorry. Car washes don't cost $100. Also the 2 gallons of gas I was charged for when I returned it at the level I picked it up at are ridiculous. Doesn't seem like there's any recourse but to pay your ridiculous charges but it's absurd. Thanks for nothing.

Rented 2 times in one week. Both times I got a dolly, so I left thinking it was in the back like back in the day. They used to be strapped into the back so I assumed it would be in my reservation. I got to my location and there was no dolly. I called and was told by Trey “we usually ask our customers to grab it from the cage out back” so I told him I would have done that IF YOU WOULD HAVE TOLD ME BEFORE I LEFT I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT. It cost a good 10.00 in miles to go back. I mentioned the miles Was not credited AND OVERCHARGED. Second time, was treated so rudely because I was using cash, and upon return uhaul.com/share was not working. Then I was told I owed money for gas, when I have a receipt showing I got gas before returning. Will not use uhaul anymore after this experience at this location.

Business as usual inside but the shunning star was the super nice man that cleans the trucks. Super friendly and answered all my questions about the drop off. Sad I didn't catch his name… great place, I'll be back. The location on S. State street in Ann Arbor could learn a thing or two from this placeðŸ'

I arrived at 8:35 am to pick up at 9:00 am. I was second in line. Check in for rentals was 9:15am. Finally leaving was 9:35am. When I returned the truck I stopped and tried filling the gas to the proper line. The gage would not move even after starting in the truck. So I over filled it. They told me they would refund me some of the difference. Haven't seen any refund and probably won't. It's hard to find honest people these days:(
