You have to get more help behind the counter - I waited an hour for a rental (yes a full hour) that I had reserved ahead of time. I don't rent often enough to know about the 24/7 plan. The truck was great but the hour wait put us behind and I didn't get the full use of my time For the rental. Sad face. I have rented from UHaul a number of times and this was by far the worst experience to date. I made a reservation through your online system, but the pads were missed by your rep and the insurance I agreed too was up charged to the next tier. Once we worked through that mess, the rep who was helping me handed over the keys without any info as to where the truck was. I asked, and he just said "in the back" and no further help was offered. When I finally found the truck, it was parked so close to the other trucks, that I had to go back to the desk and get someone to move it for me.Morgan M.
According to the information on the contract the on site personnel would inspect the hook up and loading of the equipment and the towed vehicle. Therefore I chose to have the tow dolly and the towed vehicle hooked up and secured by the personnel on site. As I drove off the had forgotten to lift and replace the ramps. Several miles down the road I saw through the side mirrors that the tie down tire straps seemed loose. I stopped to check and both sides were very loose as the wheels themselves had moved as I attempted to reverse. Please do not have trainee or even new personnel doing this job as I could a catastrophe in the making.CARLOS M.

I prefer to pick up a vehical with full tank a gas and return it that way for the next customer. When picking up, I am usually on my way to pack and move items immediately!!! Several of my family members found themselves having to move on short notice due to Hugh rises in rents and getting ahead of the project would have made the situation better. But the staff there is so helpful and offer good suggestions. I have appreciated the experiences from this UHAUL facility.susan P.
Though I refilled the gas as per the contract I was still got charged for the gas and all the other charges that I was not made aware when I was renting it , if known beforehand I would have gone to Home Depot , worst customer care at store not even answered the questions asked for. I asked more than 3 time , how much will I be charged I was not answered that I would be charged 115 bucks for 35 miles, I was told I would be charged like 20 bucks that's it . Don't recommend anyone here nor I am going to come back to uhaul. Thank you uhaulKumar P.
Original location did not have my trailer that I reserved. Offered no help and told me to call customer service. I called customer service (30 min wait to get someone on the phone) and had to drive across town to different location. The location leader Noah was excellent. I was the first customer of the day on Saturday and he was very helpful. Even though the location, to his surprise , was completely out of blankets which i had prepaid to receive . He quickly found the nearest location for me to stop and get the blankets i was expecting . The store location is good and very easy to find. When I went inside to finalize my rental, the attendent was cold and unwelcoming. However, when I went outside, the young man that helped me to hookup the trailer was great. He helped me with the trailer even though that was not his job. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. Also the trailer was muddy and not clean, but he cleaned it for me.Abbas K.
Having the things you reserve online. If the location does not have or offer the things you reserve online, you shouldn't be able to reserve them. Also the people at the front are not helpful. If I make a reservation, the items that I need should be there in their entirety. Don't just remake the reservation and remove the items I previously reserved but you don't have. Also, if techs are constantly forgetting to secure trailers down, there obviously needs to be more training and better security measures in place so that trailers don't just fall off while you're driving.Matthew S.

The number on the trailer I rented did not match my contract. Apparently, it didn't match many other contracts that were rented that day either. I noticed it when I picked up the trailer and the person who helped me said he would correct it and would email me a corrected contract within an hour. I never received it. I called twice more requesting an updated contract and despite promises, never received it. This caused confusion when I dropped the trailer off in Lubbock, but the manager there was helpful in getting me a receipt. The personnel at the Plano-Willowbend location were completely incompetent.Matthew H.

I rented a 26ft truck with equipment in advance. Was told at time of truck pick up they didn't have any equipment even though I verified it with the reservation call I received the day before. Was told when I called in to reserve my truck drop off would be next day at 9am, confirmed with reservation call and with counter same day/time. Received text message it was next day 8am. Had to to drive 16 miles extra to pick up truck and extra 21 miles to drop off. Even through there are locations closer. I was late dropping my truck off due to the inconsistent information with time and I trough my back out moving my 4 bedroom home all by myself with no equipment. I damaged most of my furniture because I had no furniture dollies and had to slide stuff on it's side on the ground and up the ramp. This is the worst experience I have ever had.Sara A.
I went through the whole process of reserving online, then a 20 minute checkin process on my phone at the uhaul location. The website said an employee would come hookup the trailer to my vehicle, but there was no indication either on the website or in the parking lot where I should wait for said employee. After several minutes I asked an employee outside where I should go to get hooked up. He told me to go wait in the line inside. After about 30 minutes, I finally got to speak with Cory (whose assistance was the only pleasant part of the experience) who tells me that the employee I spoke with outside was incorrect. Cory personally hooked up my trailer so I could get on with my day. Overall it took one hour at the uhaul dealer to pick up the trailer I had already arranged.Michael R.
Quick drop-off experience. Very smooth. I was however charged for 4 gallons of fuel and would like to know how with the analog gauge anyone is supposed to know they are 4 gallons off on their fuel level? Maybe the company should consider filling the gas tanks before rentals and expecting full tanks when returned. This current practice seems very suspicious to me! Our 9ft can was spotless and clean! Also liked how they outfitted the van with rubber padding which helped protect the furniture we were moving. The location was a bit short staffed so had to wait a bit to get our van. However it too bad. Upon the return, we wished we had known the process to drop off the return for inspection, that would have saved us some time. We know for next. the lady at the front desk Kara is not professional in dealing with frustrated customers. She put me on hold and never came back to check on me until I showed up to the store and she was doing nothing not helping a customer or anything she just didnt want to help resolve my issue and left me on hold. I did speak with the manager after all that and he did resolve the issue. But they need better people on the phone or train the ones you have and really evaluate performance.Kiosha T.
Manager and employee didn't know how to process a trailer rental. Took over 40 minutes and several edits to the rental contract before they got it right (even though I had reserved it online and had checked in online). They tried to sneak in coverage into my contract even though I declined it online and when I brought it up, the GM said "just take it, we'll fix it tomorrow when you return", but I know he's not going to refund me for coverage after the fact. So I insisted that be addressed beforehand so that we can have an accurate contract, he was very annoyed to fix this and to do his job properly.Xavier G.

In spite of many attempts, I could check-in online. The storage facility doors were not working when I arrived to unload. Because I could not check-in online, I could not get instructions to drop the truck off after hours. It should not be too hard to put up a sign about how to drop off a truck after hours. While the facility didn't have trash or bugs that I could see...other than the front corner where people pile their discarded furniture and belongings...my only complaint is that the entire storage facility reeked of moth balls. Like REEKED! The odor hits you as soon as the sliding doors open and is so terribly strong that my belongings now reek.
