Our arrive to pick up the trailer. The representative insisted that she hook up the trailer to my vehicle which was ok... in the process of connecting the wiring for the trailer to my existing connection on the car the representative broke one of the male connections from the trailer off in the female connection on the car which rendered it useless. She informed me that U-Haul did not have only the part to fix the connector but rather the entire wiring harness for the vehicleâ€¦ which could not be installed until the following day ...No assistance was offered except to say that without A working connector all the car I could not leave with the trailer. I had to go elsewhere to get the connector replaced and then return and pick up the trailer. Since the existing connector was in good operating order win the trailer wiring was attached I felt like they should have at least offered to help me fix it or to repair it even if there was some charge but no offer was made-when l complained!PERKINS O.

The trucks were stuck in the snow and the staff does not prepare the vehicles for their appointments. I was told it takes too much time for the employees to bring the trucks around. I think the customer service touch has gone. Should be better for customers.JACOB S.

The online reservation system needs help. I tried to do the entire reservation online. When I arrived it asked me to take a picture of my ID. This could of happened while I was at home where it was warm instead of at the pickup location where it was cold. The system assigned me a truck that the store location just rented to another customer. I had to go inside the store to get a new reservation so all the times i spent making the reservation at home was a wast of my time. After uploading my ID I was again asked for all that information again inside. When I was assigned a truck the truck had so many dings and scrapes I tried uploading new photos but the online system would not take them. I finally saw an associate who brought out more â€œxâ€ stickers to mark them all. I was in luck when I returned the truck the same gal was there and did my check in so she was aware of all the damage the truck already had. This U-Haul location is close to my house I will rent from there again but please work on the reservation system, it needs help.Michael L.

I only needed a storage unit for short term, and so when it was time for me to "move out" it was the quickest and most simple process I've ever gone through! No hassle, no fuss. We rented after the derecho destroyed my office in the ice arena. I had a lot of equipment that needed housing and the manager bent over backwards to help me and my staff. We were there for hours at a time, sorting and organizing, and she checked on me constantly, helping with brooms, carts, etc as I needed. Management was rude. When the girl at the desk was busy outside a line of people waited while two people carried on a conversation in the office. When someone said â€œexcuse me can we get some help?â€ The guy said wait. It took us 35 minutes to get outta there with one person in front of us. The trailer had some damage on it when I rented it. When I returned it they tried to say I caused the damage. I would recommend having the person that hooks up the trailer also walks around with the renter and documents any damage before leaving. They currently send you a text telling you to look over the rental but I didn't get that text until I was 5 minutes away from the lot. There was too many associates working too close together making be it hard to have a conversation with the agent I was working with. Called to change return time which was not updated, when returning trailer was going to be charged for two days. Little hard to believe that when checked out at 11:38 am and returned same day at approximately 7:45pm, would be charged for two days because return time was different.DUANE S.
Only criticism I have is that the online site will show something is available, but if you go to the physical location and ask if it is available it will not be. This happened to me at two locations before I decided to just reserve it online from the parking lot. After reserving online I was able to walk into the exact same store that didn't have any available and it was now available. It would be nice if the system the employees had at the store indicated that they had stock available but it was for online reservations only. Other than that, the location is clean, the employees are very friendly and the service was quick and accurate! Would highly recommend this location.Bryan H.

I had one issue; Having to select a drop off UHaul location not knowing if they were open on a Sunday. That data is already known to you (uHaul) and could have been displayed to me for UHaul locations in Colorado Springs which is where I dropped off. I was able to manually edit but I could have done it upon order payment if the data was available. For your consideration.JOHN C.
Counter staff seemed less than interested in performing their duties. I had reserved a dozen packing blankets in the reservation, but only 6 were in the truck, and worst of all, by the time I realized that the screw used to tighten the passenger side rear view mirrors in place was stripped and could not be used, the truck was loaded and I had to fix it myself using duct tape. Very unsafe and I can't believe the problem was not reported by previous renters.Sean M.
The van we rented did not have heat. We were wet from moving in the rain and had to drive 100 miles to the apartment and another 100 back, soaked and cold. We did stop and spend over $70 on jackets but cold air kept blowing which chilled us to the bones. Management gave us $20 off which is a slap in the face plus they blamed the previous renter for not reporting it. In Iowa it can be 80 degrees yesterday and 60 today which was the case here. It doesn't forgive the fact that there was no real service recovery or apology. Our experience will not be forgotten and our displeasure shared with many. Perhaps to improve, don't blame the renters and apologize with some empathy. The manager just told the agent at the desk to take $20 off the bill and hung up after it was confirmed there was no heat. Imagine being wet and sitting in a metal van with cold air blowing because when we did turn it off the windows fogged up. To top it off...I called Uhaul's 800# and after being disconnected 3 times I got to an agent. I was told my husband needed to call and add me to the file so I could call back. When my husband called, he was told it was a closed file and was given a complaint #. So much run around...getting more discouraged and unsatisfied by the minute.DAVID S.

The after hours check in app did not work well. Asked me to share my location, but then either I couldn't share, or it didn't receive. It gave me the warning that if I was in the wrong place, an additional charge would apply, but would not allow me to proceed beyond that point. Everything was fine but when I request no equipment I mean no equipment. There was a hand cart and covers in the back with breakable seals and if broken you pay for it. This was a big inconvenience to me since it took up room and was not able to place any items in that area.Michael R.

9/13/20 7 AM â€œOPENâ€ sign lit but doors locked and lights off. 7:20 store employee emerged from car to inform waiting customers that employee with keys on their way. 7:40 AM employee arrives with keys. I completed reservation and check-in online but employee requested all my information again at desk. Why is there an online check-in? I specifically made the reservation by phone to use the pickup to pull a trailer. Got the pickup home to find the hitch was locked preventing me from using a hitch. Called the location where I rented the pickup and was informed they do not allow towing with their vehicles. After arguing that the Uhaul website specifies towing, I drove back to the rental location to have the hitch unlocked. 30 miles extra round trip that I had to pay for when returning the vechicle. This facility "lost" my reservation when I arrived, a reservation that I made 3 months in advance. The reason for losing it was that other customers bought them up - that means that a reservation doesn't mean anything at UHUAL. very little help when I had a question or request, most of the conversations ended with statements like "I don't know". I move very frequently and I constantly have issues with UHUAL, but this facility, their staff, and their lack of responsibility over my possessions has pushed me to NEVER use UHUAL again.
