I fell on hard times and got behind on my unit I was told by a manager that I could sign a agreement and pay to keep my storage and gave him the date I would come in and he approved it. Only to get a call from a lady saying that I couldn't and my unit was being sold despite what me and the manager had agreed on. And I literally lost everything I owned. The young man who works there was rude, insolent, and argumentative. This occurred twice - when I went to rent furniture pads and when I went to return them the next day. When I went to rent the furniture pads, an older gentleman had to help me because the young man didn't know how to cancel the receipt that did not show my right last name. His response was to confirm that my first name was correct, which I acknowledge three times but that was not the issue - it was the last name that was incorrect. He said it must be a typo, he didn't type it, and he couldn't change it. Then he told me I had to "move" to the other counter and wait for the older gentleman to take care of me. As I was putting back my phone and ID and paperwork, it was not fast enough for him and he told me to "move" again. When I went to return the 12 pads the next day, I brought in six the first trip and he told me that I had to fold them (which they were), put them in a plastic bag and tie the bag or I would be charged extra. I asked him to print out the receipt I was given the day before so I can see where it stated that they had to be placed in a plastic bag and tied. He had a small phone and said he was going to print it out. I waited and he said he couldn't print it out and that I had to wait for "Joe" - it was 9:40AM and I told him that I had to be at work at 10:00 would he just check the pads in so I can be on my way. He said no he couldn't and that I had to wait. I asked when "Joe" was returning and he said he didn't know. I asked what his name was and he just walked away, I asked again and he did not answer. I saw some business cards and called "Calvin" who came and took care of me. It was ridiculous! I will not return there to rent a truck that I need in a few weeks just so that I do not have to deal with the young man.Evelyn V.

I had to wait an hour and 1/2 to get my confirmation code, the customer service rep hung up on me 2x and I had to be charged an extra day because someone booked back to back reservations. So I had to rush what I was doing and they called me over 20x! Unacceptable! But at least I was able to get things done. Next time instead of having to hold for over 40min 2x the confirmation needs to be sent asapLaCharm L.

I was rushing to check out the truck yesterday and did not check the back. I found that the seal on the dolly was broken when I got home. In fact, the dolly was not even secured. I proceeded to secure the dolly as I did not need it. Since I have had a very long term relationship with this uhaul location and I was running late I decided I would discuss this with the the uhaul representative when I returned the keys this morning. I promptly discussed the dolly situation with the uhaul representative while returning the keys with no real acknowledgement from the representative at that time. The representative proceeded to check the truck in and continued to add the $7.00 charge to my final invoice which I received via email. I called him to discuss the charge and he said he can't do anything about it because there is no way to verify if I was telling the truth and that I should talk to the manager this morning. My concerns are as follows: 1. I was charged for a broken dolly seal which I received as-is when I picked up the truck. This is totally unfair to customers and fraudulent and raises more concerns. 2. Clearly, this truck was not properly checked in from the previous renter. Whoever checked in this truck prior to me renting the unit did not do a thorough job. Remember, the seal was broken and the dolly was basically free standing in the back and unsecured which is a safety hazard. 3. If the person who checked the truck in from the previous renter and prepared it for my rental noticed this and did nothing (secure the dolly and replace the seal) then this shows either blatant disregard or intent to have customers pay extra. 4. I would be very curious to know if the previous renter was also charged for dolly use. I believe each dolly seal is unique and can only be registered once. If so, then I have extremely serious concerns about this uhaul location and staff who currently work there. I am extremely unhappy with this situation.Kirk P.

Truck did not have working taillights or blinkers, according to my daughter who was following behind. This made it extra difficult when changing lanes since the back window is already obstructed by the enclosed grating. There are also barely any shocks on the van so any minor bump sent you bouncing behind the wheel. The young personnel who checked me out was slow and had to redo the check out process because apparently you can't rent a vehicle at the same time as purchasing boxes due to a glitch in the system. He was polite and friendly but it made the process of getting on the road delayed.KAREN B.

The Uhaul van I rented got a flat on the way to the items I was to pick up. After using the online help service and no one showing up for an hour, I called the help line. I was told someone would be to my location within an hour. An hour later, I called back to get an updated ETA, and was again told that someone was on their way and would be to my location soon. An hour later, No one. I called the line again and was told they were cancelling the other guy and sending someone else. I then called the office in which I rented the van and was told that someone should be there shortly. I was waiting in an empty parking lot for over 4 hours to get the tire changed. I was unable to pick up all the items because I was too late in arriving. The lady in the office advised me that she would see about getting me a full or patial refund. I was charged the full $88 (not including the gas I refilled) for something that should have taken an hour and a half, took me almost 6 hours. I was also upset that I was told that I could not leave the van. This company would rather a woman hang out in a parking lot with a broke down van, than get picked up and wait somewhere safer. I asked and was told I would be 'abandoning equipment' and would be liable... What if it had been your Mom, or sister or loved one? Your company would rather risk the liability of a woman possibly being assaulted then suing your company? Indeed.Tomiko D.

We drove 800 miles in a vehicle that was misaligned. The truck was all over the road. To say it was dangerous was an understatement. Second, the driver seat was like sitting in a bowl.
