Our experience with this U-Haul was excellent. Amanda was extremely friendly and helpful, as were all the staff, with all our needs. We used 2 spots, an RV spot and a unit while we were waiting on our house to be built. The facility was always clean convinient and well kept. Elevator kept moving up and down even after the doors opened causing various items of ours to fall over and get damaged. The app wasn't working so we couldn't return the truck, got charged for bringing it back after hours, and got charged for an additional day (additional charges were later reversed except for the extra days rental of the utility dolly). Rented a 20ft truck and was given a free storage unit only to discover that the free unit was 7x10x11 and wouldn't hold all of our belongings. The following day received message warning about potential future charges being assessed due to not putting all of their courtesy carts back in the holding area before leaving. All and all I'm over the whole experience and won't ever use them again.Leann M. | First Impressions

Make sure you give the pass code info for the storage unit to the customer BEFORE they leave the location after finalizing & paying for everything. Even more importantly... Use common sense!!!! If your customer is renting a 20 ft truck they will need a storage unit big enough to hold all of those same contents. A 7 x 10 x 11 will NOT be big enough AT ALL!!!!!! Another thing, even if it is after you are off work watch and control your children. It is not okay for a child that is at most maybe 6 years old to wander the property without a parent in sight. The child kept going into the back of the truck, touching our breakables, and trying to "help" after we repeatedly asked him to stay out of the truck and not to touch things. He did not listen to us at all and when my husband tried to get him to stop the child began yelling that my husband was a "Bad Man". None of this is okay at all. The truck we were given didn't even have a lock on the exterior of the driver's side door, the elevators kept malfunctioning during move in causing several items to fall over because it would not stop readjusting up and down about an inch with abrupt stops (we haven't opened any boxes yet to determine if anything was damaged or broken as a result yet). Overall it was the worst experience I have ever had for truck & storage unit rental. I highly doubt I will ever use this company again in the future. Oh, and... the app wasn't working so I couldn't "return" the truck because it was after hours. I parked it and put the keys in the drop box and discovered the following morning that they charged me an additional fee for after hours drop off and an additional days rental. As soon as I saw the charges on my bank account I called the store and the employee I spoke reversed the additional charges and was amazing, but it takes more than that to keep my business. I am counting the seconds until I can get my stuff out of there and into my new home without using a uhaul anything.Leann M.
Next time I will use the online check-in to see if it will speed up the checkout process. It would be faster to just use the card and showing ID instead of having to run it. Dropping off the trailer was super fast and efficient, nothing to change their other than to have maybe a second or third bay to pull into as the only one was blocked by a trailer.James N.

The tow dolly rented to us should never have been sent out. There was a bolt missing on the bracket for the tire hold down strap that I had to replace and the other bolt was about to fall out. One fender was broken up and rubbing on a tire. The rubber damper in front of the tongue pivot point was binding so badly it kept the tire carrier part from lining up properly and we wasted a lot of time on our long trip trying to determine if this could be a problem and we might lose the car we were hauling. I've always had good luck with Uhaul in the past but this was a frightening experience. We were constantly worried we might lose the vehicle on a busy interstate highway. When I dropped it off at the Corpus Christi location they told me their facility would NEVER rent out a dolly in such poor and dangerous condition.STEPHEN L.

Every time we rent a trailer, the process takes forever. We just want to roll in and go. But we have to answer 900 questions about moving pads and insurance that we already declined online and it's a pain. It's that way at all the locations that we rent from.Scott C.
Location setup was a little confusing. Personnel had differing instruction. We were charged for some gas even though we had put gas back in the tank. We were off by slightly over a gallon, even though the gauge said about 3/4 ... If the reader is so exact when the vehicle is returned, then the vehicle needs to have an exact reader inside. I was not told about a gas surcharge when I returned the truck. I drove the truck 9 miles and used a 1/16th of a tank. They told me if I didn't bring the truck back with the same amount of gas as when I rented it I would be charged 5.50 per gallon. Although that seems high I would have been okay with that fee if they would have disclosed that to me, which they didn't. For this reason I took a star off of my review.Stephen M.

When turning the trailer in I asked about the price adjustment mentioned at pick up and was advised there were no adjustments on cross country rentals. I understand reasons for not adjusting the trailer rental price but do not understand why the insurance wasn't adjusted since only 2 of the 4 days had been used. I would like to see better maintenance done on the u-haul trucks. I had a lot of vibration in the steering and driving at 65mph the engine seemed like it was screaming. Newer trucks with better overdrive would be best. Would help save on fuel cost too.Shawn L.
