May have been bad timing on my part but both the day I picked up the trailer and the next day when I returned the trailer, I'm at front of line when entering but find only one clerk available and they are with another customer and they are on the phone correcting an issue of some kind for that customer and so, had to wait. I was so disscusted on May10th,2021.. I checked in on my reservation at 7am to pick up a 15ft truck only to be treated with disrespect and bad customer service. The person who checked me in was lazy and had a bad attitude. The person's name was Shantey. I walked far to get my rental truck only to discover garbage in the back cargo. I took picures. I returned to the front desk and Shantey asked that I drive it to their garage to get it cleaned....WTF ? I asked for a second truck only to discover the key hole of the driver door was defective and would not open. I took pictures. I returned to the front desk and Shantey had an attitude as though I was to blame. I was given a 3rd truck and I asked Shantey to assist me by moving the other rental trucks boxing me in which I waited for Shantey and never showed up. I walked back for assisrsbce only to discover Shantey texting on his phone totally ignoring my request for help. I was furious!!! I found another UHaul worker walking around who finally assisted me. Shantey never appologized from the beginning for any inconvinience U Haul caused me. I finally drove out at 7:45am. I had a previous complaint in Feb.2021 of a UHaul worker being rude . I made a report and was told t Vennessa the manager was going to call me in 3 days which the manager never did. Management seems to be laxing on customer service at the 1810 West Ave.J in Lancaster, Ca location. After filing a complaint today, I was told that Venessa the manager was going to call me in 3 days....I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT . Sad....Lester L.

I called a day in advance to get a 24 hour extension on a 3 day rental and was told that they had already rented out the 15 foot truck for 4pm to another customer today so i returned the truck at the original return time ( 1pm ) since i couldn't get an extension setting me back $350 for a truck i couldn't use. This location is under staffed or does not assign staff properly. I had to wait in like for 20 plus minutes with one employee. Also this location has an issue with systems failing. I went to return my rental and once again the system was down and could not get confirmation on check in for 2 days. Employees are friendly but very over worked. Hours of operation should be extended 1-hour(8pm PST). The security system only allows the small door to open when the key gets swiped making it inconvenient to get big furniture through. Your support staff and management at this location are top notch and that really made a difference in our storage stay with you. The irony in all of this is we started with this facility when our home was put on the market in mid July of last year. We initially didn't like the fact that rodent boxes were in the units themselves. A support staff member at another location here in Lancaster, Sierra Highway and Avenue L who is a former student of mine, told me the 411 on the rodent boxes and that changed my mind for the positive. Our home sold in 24 hours after being listed and we ended up with 6 storage units, two of which were at this facility and the last one ended up being the unit we initially started with back in June of 2020, unit 1017. I highly commend and will recommend this site to family and friends. A special shout-out to the Assitant Manager Michael at this site and Eric J. for being top notch employees as well as the staffs at this site and Sierra Highway and Avenue L. I was charged for two storage locks because I was told I needed two and discovered that I didn't need to buy them because Steven who was a rude Uhaul employee gave me two extra locks for free after moving my personal belongings into my Uhaul storage. It is a scam. I called Vanessa who is the manager at the store to give my complaint but the store manager never called me back. What am I going to do with two extra storage locks?? I find that extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Uhaul makes you buy the Uhaul locks and after moving in, they give you free Uhaul locks. On Nov 12th I reported my items stolen. Uhaul rep told me they would file a claim which they never did.After I called again a gentle finally filed the claim for me. My claim eventually was denied because it was no force entry per Vanessa the manager for Lancaster Site. DOnt tell me to read the contact, I know what it says. With all the camera this facility has no one was willing to at least check the camera to see someone going in and out of my storage. I had 2 tv's 50in and 46 in, my daughter shoes and her Keurig stolen and Uhaul will not take responsibility. I would never recommend your company. I paid for a temperature controlled environment to protect my pictures, videos, and keepsakes. More than three times I came to the storage to get something and found the temperature well over 90.
