Your national call center is a joke. I tried five times and invested over four hours to try and rent the needed equipment. Everytime i tried to reach the local center it kept sending me to national call center. They even lied and stated i was talking to the local center when they booked my rental- at the wrong location. Went to pick up my rental and it was reserved at a different location. The west lafayette store set me up in a bigger unit for same price- then i was called from the wrong location to see why i had not picked up the truck. This process is unnecessarily complicated and too much time is needed for a straight rental. Phone access to the local store is essential to ensure rental of proper equipment.

Could not see out of the window it was so bug covered. I did not have a good experience, I rented a 26' truck well in advance. Then a couple days before I am told that the local place did not have a 26' foot truck but I could get that in another town. I had to have the 26' truck. As a result it cost me double in gas and I went over in miles. There are other truck rental companies I can use if this is the customer svc provided by uhaul!

The trailer I went to pick up was not checked in when I arranged to pick it up although the trailer was sitting in the return lane, so picking it up took much longer than it should have since the manager had to check it in while I sat and waited.

If there is any previous damage on equipment that hasn't yet been repaired... have attendant point it out before hand... so if the customer discovers it later during use, he won't worry that I Haul will think that he did the damage. Minor point, but great for peace of mind. Overall, my experience with UHaul has been excellent.

I was charged for 1/8 tank of gas (at a very high rate), for driving 10 miles. The truck was less than half full when I got it, but was listed as half-full. I returned it with more than 3/8.

I was promised a pick up location in Veedersburg, IN or Danville, IL when I rented the truck. I was told the day before I HAD to pick up in Lafayette, IN. or Urbana, IL. Both places well out of the way of my move and costing me mileage. Uhaul personnel promised to add 100 miles when in fact only gave 100 miles total. The truck was dirty and bug covered.

I did an after hours drop off. The drop off process is confusing as there is signage to log onto u-haul.com to begin drop off process. My phone was not connecting well...but my point being, it is not really necessary to connect to do the drop off. The drop box also had a slot for the contract...that was the only copy I had...but I dropped it in as well after taking a picture of it. Again, is that really required? I dropped the keys and the contract in the box and all seemed to go OK. But those are some confusing directives if not truly necessary to return a rental after hours. Overall, the equipment was great...all went well and I would use U-Haul again.

Great experience. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I reserved a trailer on line. Walked in at 8:00 and had the trailer hooked up and pulling out of the lot by 8:05. Return and drop off was just as convenient. I really appreciate the cleanliness of the store and friendly staff.

We really love using this uhaul location. We currently have two storage units there and often rent cargo vans. Dave Butcher is great to work with and it’s nice that he recognizes us whenever we come in.

POOR COMMUNICATION!!!!!! I had to contact customer support SEVERAL times and always felt like the person on the phone was confused and not compassionate for me having such a horrible experience with EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. during this process. I have used U-Haul to move multiple times within the past 10 years and have never had such a TERRIBLE experience until now. Next time I will NOT be using u-haul and I would recommend that other people not use u-haul. P.S. I am STILL waiting for a refund that I was told would be given for being Mis-charged at my drop off!!!!!! A random $60 charge for gas, but we had filled the tank to the exact amount requested immediately prior to dropping off the truck using the mobile app. PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH WITH REFUND THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PROMISED TO ME!!! AGAIN TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!

Overall, loved the experience. However, when I returned the truck last night, the front parking lot was full and I barely was able to get my car out. Had to go east of the building on the drive that was very muddy. The person who had parked his uhaul truck (pulling a trailer) that blocked the entrance and exit in front, should have been heavily fined.

The car smelled strongly of smoke. Also it was not clear what to do with add-on equipment such as a dolly when the office was closed.

The truck was extremely old and worried me the entire time. Thank goodness, I did not have to travel far. The truck made noises and felt like it was going to break down - made a lot of popping noises when excelerated. I debated returning, or exchanging, but did not have time.

The back of the middle seat, when put down, was sticky and the cabin smelled like stale cigarettes. There was some melted candy in the glove compartment. Truck console kept beeping because the engine oil light kept coming on.

The truck I got had a really weird vibration once you reached highway speeds (~50-55 mph). The person that initially took my information for the reservation apparently didn't enter any of it except the payment info and also gave me the wrong information as to what to expect or what documentation I would need when I returned to pick up the truck.

The gas gauge on the vehicle was inaccurate. I can out of gas way before the needle showed it was empty. I told the business about that. Not to mention my wife had to go get gas from he gas station and bring it to me.

I was given a truck that was around 1/8 for gas, when it was supposed to have 3/4. The attendant told me that if I returned it with at least 1/4 tank gas, I would get around a $28 gas credit and even showed me on the contract. I thought I was getting a credit, but was billed the full amount. I am confused as to why I didn't get my credit, when the truck was almost empty and I had to put 1/4 gas in to return it. I sent an email but nobody will answer me back.
