Had two employees look at us and shake their heads as we pulled up. Once I got out of the truck they disappeared so I could not get help with the auto transport. We went inside the location to get help and no one was in the office to delegate an employee to help us. We finally waited around for someone to surface out to see if we have been helped.Jessica H.

This was our third truck/pick up location due to maintenance issues on first one at King William and second at Mrchanicsville with mechanical light on dash. Luckily each place rerouted me before I had arrived.STEVEN K.
The guys who helped me, Z Moving Specialist, are wonderful guys! Very professional, bent over backwards to make sure I got what I needed. When I received the truck it only had 3/8 of a tank of gas given the price of gas right now I think you guys should make sure the trucks are fully fueled before they are dispatched. The gentleman who assigned my truck did fill the tires with air and upon my return trip the censor for low tire pressure was tripped for the â€œLeft RR Tireâ€ was saying low tire pressure. The staff took another customer before me and I had been waiting in line for service for about 10 minutes. The other customer walked into the facility and received immediate attention, therefore jumping in front of me and two other customers. I never received an apology and the staff member acted like it didn't happen. I would improve the price range. We did not like that we had to pay $704 for a 20' box truck when there are U-HAUL signs all over saying you can rent a 26' box truck for $40 for the day. We don't understand why we were charged this substantial amount to rent a box truck for one day.Michael A.

When I got to the storage facility to move into my storage unit I already had a U-Haul truck filled with my belongings. I had a unit reserved in advance in an attempt to avoid any headaches at the facility. When I went to claim my unit it turned out that the unit I had reserved already had someone else's stuff in it. The woman at the counter then tried to locate another unit. We walked to two units and they were occupied already. After striking out she wrote down a few numbers and disappeared for a while trying to locate a vacant unit. She could not find one. Finally, after what felt like an hour of waiting and searching, she told me that there were some outside units available. She told me that I would be charged the same rate for the outside units as I was for the inside unit I was originally trying to rent. I moved my stuff into the unit and thought nothing more of it. About a month later I received an email from U-Haul saying my reservation had been cancelled. Immediately concerned with the status of my belongings I stopped what I was doing at work and called the U-Haul office. I was told that my reservation had never been completed in the system and that I needed to give some information over to correct it. I went ahead and handed over my card to be charged and some other contact info. This is when I discovered I actually would not be receiving a discount and would be paying the full price for the outside unit. Now I am paying $45 more a month for a unit that was too large for my needs in the first place. I am unable to get there in person to move my belongings for the next few months and now feel like I've been swindled.ANDREWJOHN R. | First Impressions

I've been trying to get a call back from these people for a year no call back in regards to someone saving my card number and charging my bank card. They expect you to pay them but I don't get an explanation as to why Crystal or whoever she was told the bank I authorized her to use my card. Excellent facility and staff. A staff member came out to check-in the truck while I went in the office to complete the turn-in paperwork. He finished his work, came in and gave the final report to the lady at the desk, and my transaction was completed and I was leaving the facility in less then 15 minutes, total time there. The location is very clean and organized and the staff was knowledgeable and efficient but the truck I was issued for my rental was in poor condition. It was very rough riding and very hard to handle because it was out of alignment. It pulled to the right so bad that it felt unsafe to drive. Fortunately this was a local move so I did not have far to drive but had this been a long distance drive for someone it would have been a very difficult trip (I just made a move from Florida to Virginia last year using U-Haul and the truck I rented was in very good condition). I reported the issue to two different agents, the equipment return agent on duty and the desk agent inside. Both agents seemed to hear me and said it would be reported but I want to make sure that the truck does indeed receive maintenance to correct the repairs.LAURAWELLS G.
There's nothing more that you can do regarding improving things at that location â€¦ the staff was friendly, courteous, and professional â€¦ and the establishment itself was extremely clean and well-maintained â€" best seem to date. Communication about u-box delivery was terrible. I was never contacted that the u-boxes would be delivered late, and they wouldn't answer the phone to give an update of delivery. When the u-boxes were finally delivered, the person delivering the u-boxes was rude, blamed the customer for everything, and had no respect for anyone. NEVER USE U-HAUL U-BOX AGAIN.James P.

Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Will never recommend them and will warn anybody I know for the rest of my life to stay away from anything uhaul! Pods arrived on time, scheduled the pick up and that was a 3 week nightmare to get anybody on the phone, to actually get them to pick them up....maybe I should have "drag them in the street and catch them on fire" like one of the horrible customer service reps suggested. Fkn nightmare from start to finish. Now they want to charge me a storage fee (the pods are empty) and are trying to put a lien on whatever bc my account is due....which I canceled after I used the pods for 2 weeks like I needed.SUZANNE B.

The storage unit was great and the process went well. The only complaint I have for this location is the wait time when you need assistance. One day I had to wait 45 minutes (with only two customers in front of me- and about 6 behind) because there was only one person working. He was literally with that customer the entire 45 mins. Finally, the manager came out from the back room/office and helped. I needed something a few days ago, went in to ask fir help and the line was all the way to the door with only one employee working (the same one as last time) so i didn't even wait this time!!!Angie S. | Overall Experience

When I first got there with my family and my moving company, I had to go into the office to get my unit number and things... i get in the office there was a line that I had to stand in for 20 mins, I finally get to the desk for someone to help me and this older man names JIM was suppose to help me, I told him I was in a rush due to my moving truck is waiting for me and they get paid by the hour. After I told him that I was in the rush he goes let me tie my shoe before I fell attending to important business. So he has no rush with him at all. He then goes to look up my information and he tells me that I told have a reservation, I stated to him that could not be true because I called and make a reservation over the phone 2 weeks ago and I actually have 2 reservation, one for a tow along trailer and one for the storage unit that I was waiting on. He kept telling me that he did not see anything and that he could get me into a new unit. I then tell him that that's fine but I am not happy because this is a huge inconvenience on me and that's why I called in advance. He then takes me to a unit model and I tell him that I need one for a 2 bedroom apartment, he goes well I don't know if this is for a two bedroom. I tell him well that's what I need, he goes well this is all that I have. I said fine I will take it. By now I am furious, he goes to the computer and I am telling I need for him to rush because my movers are still just sitting outside waiting on my dime and nothing is getting done. He tells me that I need to stop raising my voice at him, I told him that you clearly do not understand or Care how frustrating this is to me why are you not showing any compassion as I am a upset customer and this is not my fault. So instead of him trying to tell me and rush and put my information in the system he just stands there. I say again why are you just standing there looking around when you need to be doing your job to help me, he goes he can't work under these circumstances. I ask for someone over him number so I can call he would not help with that, the nice gentleman that was actually a new man it was his first day helped me and gave me a managers number, his name was Mr o Neil and told me to call him right away. The new guy names gjuan I believe that's how you spell it was more help to me and nice and patient. I called Mr I Neil and he pulled up my reservation within seconds and got me all set with my unit in under 20 minutes. Now mind you for 55 minutes just dealing with this Jim guy my movers were sitting getting nothing done and I had to pay them for them to sit at the end of there Job. 55 minutes was just waisted and taken out of my pockets because of this Jim man. This was the worse unnecessary experience that I had to deal with and was not fair to me. I completely feel like something needs to be done about this situation!!!!!!Toniqueka C. | First Impressions
I just need the facility to change the site number in my account from 0017 to 0016. I was originally given 0017 but it was occupied and then I was told 0016 was vacant. At first they didn't think they had the unit we reserved, but soon found one that was almost as big. That was scary. Also, we were told we had to pay $10 extra to be able to finish unloading after 7 PM/. I can see how access hours would be restricted after the original move in, but not the first day.
