They were almost perfect, although my comment doesn't reflect on this particular rental. I probably made 10-12 trips to this location to purchase boxes, and I also rented several trailers for round trips and a one way on the last trip for my move. I always paid with a debit card. Each time I was asked if I needed a receipt. I declined each time, and then when I wanted to return some boxes, I was told I needed a receipt. Nobody mentioned that until I wanted to return some. Kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth...John C.

The place was not secure. I had my unit broken into and when I called and spoke with the employees they basically said they could not do anything. Also when. There were absolutely no or minimal covid precautions taken. I believe one of the staff members did wear a mask (?) but the staff member that served me did not wear a mask, there was no plexiglass partition, the seat at the desk was not six feet away from the staff member. I have lost sleep over the past two night worrying that I may have contacted Covid from doing business at this location and I am kicking myself for not insisting that the staff member wear a mask but I shouldn't have to enter a business and tell them how to take precautions. I wasn't expecting such lax precautions. Tomorrow is day three since my interaction and I anticipate that I will not sleep well tonight. In ordinary times, I would have given my service five stars but in Covid times I really resent being in a business that has disregarded or failed to plan for my safety. Computers were moving slowly that day. No biggie. One thing that would have been helpful was to be informed about the speed limiter, I mean, I'm assuming there's one. I'm a speed limit freak. If it says 55, I drive 55. So imagine my excitement when I found myself in a 75 mph zone. Well, turns out I'm an EXPERT at driving a U-Haul 75. I hardly had to work at it. Kept it solidly on 75 without effort. Next day, when I was creeping up on some folks going 74.9 in a 75, I decided to give it a little gas to get past them a little more quickly. Turns out, that wasn't an option. 75 mph was it. And that's fine. One thing I did like about the limiter was that it functioned as a sort of cruise control. If you wanna go 75, all you have to do is put your foot on the pedal. Turns out I'm NOT an expert. Speaking of ... Why no cruise control?BRONWYNN O.

They were very helpful. My only concern does Uhaul offer a car port to tow your car, but no one at the location knows how to offer assistance or is hesitant. This whole experience was not good. First, truck was not available when reserved 4 weeks ahead. Had to drive 35 miles to pick up the truck which had a check engine light on we had to take an extra 2 hrs to have looked at. Then we had to travel another 15 miles to another location to get a trailer when my name was flagged saying I had a past debt I need to take care of (an hour after leaving the Rock Island Location with the truck) which took another hour and a half to make it right discovering it was an error where someone else rented a truck in my name. Trailer had a bent frame where it looked like someone jack knifed the trailer. Understaffed and I felt sorry for the gentleman who helped us. He was obviously frustrated and overwhelmed yet was still courteous and professional helping us.Joseph M.
Associates need to maintain focus on the customer they are waiting on instead of having personal conversations amongst themselves. I say this because of several miscues with my contract. 1. Put me in system for same day return when I asked for 24 hours which they corrected after calling me the next day telling me I was late. 2. When I returned the trim they tried to charge me for returning truck not full when it was 1/4 tank at pick up which the pick up associate informed me of. 3. Tried chare me almost $150 over what it should have. All off caused my return check into to take an extra 20 minutes. They did finally get it right. The U-Haul office in Davenport was very difficult to get ahold of. The u-boxes were delivered on time, but the pick-up came much later than expected. The u-box driver was excellent in service and making sure we were taken care of. I understand he is no longer with U-Haul. Lost a good one. Two of our 5 boxes were somehow attached to someone else's account. I had to call several times to get it fixed. I finally got a hold of the U-box driver and his persistence paid off. There was a lot of confusion about when the u-boxes could be delivered in Tulsa, but once I got ahold of the u-box driver, everything worked out smoothly. The U-box driver on this end was excellent with service, care and communication. The systems seemed to fail, but the u-box drivers saved the day.Steve P.
