I booked 10ft truck, like my friend that I helped. I was given a unit without attic space. I also had issue on the fuel level marked on my paper work I showed the person the pic, but they claimed I should have verified before signing, but the truck key or which vehicle is not told to customer until they sign. I ended up taking truck and adding 2 gallon of fuel which I shouldn't have and paid for 1 extra miles to take it for fuelingRiaz T.

Follow directions and honor customer requests for drop off. 2 mistakes were made. I asked for a one-way rental with a drop off near my home, but was given a location 15 miles away. I actually passed by 2 U-Haul locations on the way to the location I was assigned for drop off by your agent. I had to drive many unnecessary miles because of this, and then was charged extra for the additional miles. I also wasted a bunch of expensive fuel because of this too. I also stated I wanted to drop off by end of day, and your agent scheduled drop off for 10 am. I was then receiving calls asking why my truck was late when I requested by end of day (7pm).MICHAEL K.

First off I was not the person who started a lease with U-Haul but still was responsible. They never physically saw me sign or set up a U-Haul account and I was harassed every month. I was called back in June or July and told my storage unit was around &900 plus and I told them they could send the unit to auction. For some reason after that they kept calling me about the unit and kept asking for a payment until it reached close to $2000. Now one I'm not paying that because as I stated I never started an account with U-Haul and it's illegal for someone else to initiate a unit in someone else's name and make the party responsible. Second, I told them when they called in June send it to auction and they decided to keep it open to reck up almost another $1000 on charges they are gone default for me to pay which I'm not. The U-haul tech that hooked up my trailer twisted and tightened the emergency brake chain too much. The brakes kept engaging on the trailer and it almost cooked my engine going up the mountain from Phoenix to Prescott. I am sorely dissatisfied, I have never had a poor experience with U-haul before this.ROBERT C.

Customer service agent was not friendly and had told me to come back for car trailer. My son told csr we will not be returning as we will be taking a while to load the truck and wanted to pick up both truck and trailer at the same time. The car trailer was not checked and had to call road side twice due to a tire blow out on car trailer in Tucson, AZ due to very little tread as per roadside service tech I also have pictures. The second time was a tire was flat and had to wait 3 hours for roadside to assist. This experience was not well due to the equipment is not maintained well nor checked properly. U-Haul service staff should STOP applying rubber preservative to the floor covering of trucks. The substance that's applied leaves a slippery surface when it comes in contact with shoes. This presents a danger of a customers shoes slipping off of the brake and accelerator pedals and it also leaves an oily residue on shoes which is tracked around by the driver and passenger. This type of interior vehicle maintenance is stupid and totally unnecessary.Bruce S.

By far the worst company I have ever worked with. Your guys customer service is a joke. I have had a customer action plan open for almost two months yet no one has bothered to call me. I have called you multiple times and promised that a manager would get back to me and that has never happened. I obviously am not the only one that has issues with you because every time I call I have to wait 45 min to talk to someone that says the same thing as the last person and reassures me it'll get handled and it never does. If you're going to move someone's rental you should let them know BEFORE the check in time, not 30 minutes after while I'm on location looking for the van. The kicker was that once I got a van that was available, the battery died 10 minutes into moving my stuff out of the van. All in all, horrible experience and probably won't ever use uhaul again.REX M.

My experience was fantastic. This was my first time using all the services from moving supplies [love the dish kits], truck rental, and moving helpers. From beginning to end the team was exactly what I needed. Some of the staff should be retrained, I requested my uhaul 3/4 months ahead of my move and I was told different locations where I may have to pick up the equipment, they did not know anything. I arrived to pick up the truck, the trailer that would be holding my car the straps were broke. â€œ Had to wait until they made a switch out, the lil boy navigated us over to much as we loaded the car, â€œ trust me miss I load these all the timeâ€. â€œSir that looks like she's going to hit the side, that's was to much over don't you think â€œ?! Of course when I got to drop off location it took 2 people including the manager to help and hear the scraping of the underneath of my car and the side near the rim area. Some of the lil boys were spaced out as if they hit the vape pen before work, not helpful, or attentive or willing to help. I normally don't leave reviews but I was so annoyed at the poor services. It made me feel, oh she's a dumb woman she can sit here and wait for new straps for trailer as long as it takes. Me man me know how to load car. I reserved a 26ft Moving Van in Maricopa last month. I was told 4 days prior to move that I would have to go 20 miles away to Awahatukee. Then I was told I had to bring it back by 9am instead of 1pm. Consequently, I had to go to another location in Chandler. Still far away. Add the fact that they had me wait for a 26ft that apparently broke down at gas station, so I ended up with a 20 footer and my movers timing got messed up. Because the van was smaller, I had to make more trips and needed the van for another day. The insurance and moving blankets were triple charged and the mileage was almost $100. To top it off, I had to put $40 in the tank because the truck was picked up in a different city. Our new house was only 4 miles away from old house. My wife and I are so extremely disappointed with you UHAUL. We have never had a problem in the past. We have used UHAUL during our last several moves since 2012. We were only given a .20 credit per mile. This service encounter was far from JD Power Wow Factor Service. The reservation process did not deliver a superb outcome nor a satisfied customer.TERRANCE L.

I will never do business with Uhual again. Y'all have some of the most incompetent workers ever. The rental place was 40 minutes from my house and when I got there my Uhual was not ready. When it finally became available there was no one to place my car tow on the vehicle. The liquor store lady had to call one of her friends to do it. I finally got to my house to load luckily I had booked my movers way later in the day. Upon returning half of the equipment to the Lynwood Uhual, Angelo (one of y'all workers) was probably one of the worst persons I have ran into. He made me take off the car port myself and eventually got upset and just finished it. He had me almost lose my cool. He has no customer service skills. I told him I would return the truck that night but it was not due until Saturday. I came back Friday night only to find out they never had me in the system.Aleen S.

Hours not posted correctly. Big 24 hour access sign by door. Got locked out while trying to move and had to call after hours to open so I could close unit and get my belongings. Called about having monthly canceled early since it was 3 days into new month. Told them we had everything cleared. Was told can't cancel the month and its rented by the month. Next time I came since I had to rent the whole month and I figured I'd pit a few thing in the unit. they had zip tied our unit closed and marked it clean and ready to rent. Had to go to office during business hours to have them remove and fix system. over all nice place but extremely poor communication. I will highly recommend that anyone I know go somewhere else. When I originally placed the order I requested 24 furniture pads and they only had 12 available. And when I opened them up and used them I only had 11. And then the hand truck in the back was in the way so I had to unscrew it and snap the tab to make room. I already had two hand trucks to use. I moved from South Carolina to Arizona, when I arrived in Arizona someone either rented the units I had reserved or deleted them from my reservation. Ordered a 26 ft truck the day before the reservation I was notified the whole phx metro area did not have what I reserved. It was suggested I take 2 15 foot trucks. Ms. Hintze is hindered by one female employee though, but maybe she is new. My only suggestion is to maybe have some longer carts that would acomodate larger items like sofas, mattresses, etc.. I went in early to secure all paper work and get storage unit. Well the salesman gave me a unit number. So, we left to get the traler and being under the stress of moving. We went to unload. Well holly cahoes. Gate wouldn't work when we applieed our number even with the help of a employee. Then after driving around gor 20 minutes decided there was no such unnit. The the employee took us back to the office to find out those hadnt been set up yet. So the lady so upset I didnt get her name. Said she could set us up on a inside unit.
