When I arrived to do my mobile check-in, I came unprepared. I did not expect to need my passport. I ended up calling my mother as the alternate person who could verify me. I didn't prepare her for this ahead of time, and it was confusing for her. This independent verification step (after sending a picture of my driver's license) was unexpected. When checking in to get the rental, it would be nice to actually have the front desk explain things. I signed a contract and didn't even know. Customer service when picked up was good friendly but no instruction on how to go over van. A lot of damage that was not pointed out. Upon drop off no one there?? I dropped keys off in drop box and asked to be called ? No return call.? I had dropped keys off as a sign had said key drop off. It then said to got a website to check out. Well keys have been dropped off and now I'm supposed to give mileage etc. not going to happen. Now it's three days on and still no one has called me. No invoice or bill?? Pretty disappointed.Dave M.

I feel bad leaving a bad review because the truth is , it was only 50 % a negative experience. And if you peel the nonion back theirs probably a reason to not blame anybody. Basically the location I used was highly recommended. Clean, local, climate controlled storage where you can conveniently rent the truck as well. Great concept! On my arrival that afternoon the location was operational but apparently the in house staff had a walk out , some sort of strike. Unless they're a bunch of jerks , I find it hard to unquestionably blame the staff, clearly their might have been grievances not being met. I can't be upset with any of the support I spoke with via telephone because I'm sure they were not aware of the situation and if they did, they were professional enough to keep a lid on it. I was also delayed almost two hours when trying to remotely pick-up my vehicle , which was way to big for what I needed because , even though I counted almost 25 different sized trucks ,vans and pick-ups, i had to spend double the money than nesasry . If two uhaul gentleman didn't show up out of pure luck, to move trucks that evening I would have been leaving with nothing because despite all my location options being on and uhaul being unblocked and even blutoothed in tonghe guest wifi (that's how close I was) , I was about to be told by a very nice young lady from support that I was shit outbod luck. She tried everything to help me. So reason would have been thrown out the window because of a GPS. Luckily the gentleman were able to help me. This delayed me a complete day onbyhe move I had to do also costing me more money. Inbyhe end I spent more time trying to reserve, pick-ups and drop off this truck thannit took me to do a one bedroom apartment move. It's bananas. Companies need to take care of their people and not make narcissistic managers runnyhe show. Because again, unless these employees were drug addicted jerks why esle would they've walked out. I also was never offered a discount or anything for all these problems. Companies now a days have zero accountability to customers and I can't rember the last time ibheard anybody say they recieved a Christmas bonus. What is happening to AmericaMichael P.

In correct fraudulent billing practices. All three services Truck, Van and Storage have all been billed incorrectly with demand for payments and lien notices after disputes regarding the incorrect charges were filed snd communicated on multiple occasions. As a result, we have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency. So you will be hearing from them soon. South-facing storage entrance should have a tapered edge ramp built into the concrete walk in order to allow loaded carts to roll smoothly into and out of building rather than to have to lift over the concrete edging. Truck was completely filthy. Could barely see out the window from the inside. When I went to return it at night your app wouldn't load. I called in to try to return it. Was on hold for 10 minutes. Online check-out system was a pain in general but absolutely would not recognize my phone's correct location so that I could get the car. It took 40 minutes between waiting for CSR and going through all the 50 steps. The lighting is bad for a place that one has to take a lot of pictures. The combo locks are finicky and I say this as someone who has to deal with a lot of combination locks for work. U-Haul is innovating new ways to stay bad.KEVIN M.

I'm really not one to complain normally but in this case I felt like I had to say something. While I found the morning staff to be very helpful, I was disappointed by the service I received upon returning at night. Not only did it take 20 minutes for the gentlemen at the counter to check me in, partly because two of them began arguing with each other about how to handle my reservation, but I had to come back to the office multiple times during my visit. The first time was because the units I was assigned to were already locked. Then, I had to come back because the unit I was reassigned to did not have a lock, which I was told it would. I then had to pay for a new lock myself, which I do not understand if the unit was supposed to come with a lock to begin with. Finally, there was an issue with my rental self-return and since I had wasted so much time in the office when I should have been unloading my things it had closed, leaving myself and other customers to figure out what to do ourselves as the store's employees and manager clocked out and drove away for the night. I will be sure to return during daylight hours next time as to have a better chance of getting better service.Gabriel S.

The only good thing about this location is the staff, especially Brian. Brian works harder than any U-Haul employee I've ever seen. He goes above and beyond for customers. He's extremely knowledgeable on everything he needs to be, and more - definitely someone U-Haul should value as an employee. Other than that, the facility itself is poorly built/designed and the experience there is below average compared to other facilities. The units aren't able to truly hold what the space is advertised as because there are random beams running throughout the units (either from floors to ceiling or completely through the middle laterally or diagonally). The worst part about this facility is there's no equipment to help people move heavy items, no dollies or rolling. So you're expected to carry couches, dressers and other heavy items through the facility's narrow hallways to your unit.Bailee Ann D. | First Impressions

Since U Haul took over, the small parking lot is often packed with rental vehicles on weekends when I want to access my storage. Maintenance has declined. I was unable to get a light replaced in my large, dark locker for several months. I was finally told that lights were not going to be replaced once they went out and I should bring my own lights if I needed to see what I had in storage! The previous Manager was meticulous about cleaning up any miscellaneous debris left over after someone moved in or out. Pieces of things are now sometimes left outside for weeks. Our unit and several on our floor and above us got soaked when blocked gutters couldn't handle a big rain storm. We weren't notified until 2 days after the damage occurred, causing us to throw out a third of our possessions stored there and a stored Oriental rug to get wet and start to get moldy. The aftermath of work entailed to go through all of the paperwork, photos, etc. that I stored there has been time consuming and painful. The on-call manager did her best to help us move and document some things. However, the lost hours and memories can never be replaced. (Note: I received this survey after the above incident caused us to move our things to a nearby, dry room. I didn't recently move in but have been here for almost a year.)LINDA V. | First Impressions

I went to meet my parents to drop off some items on Sunday a few minutes after closing and my code wasn't working. My parents drove a long way so I was really hoping to unload what they brought and luckily Lou was still in the office.
