Everything went quickly once I got to the store to pick up my rental because I checked in online! The online process was a little frustrating. We rented a van, and the person who gave us the key barely said a word to us, but kept talking with his friends/workmates. We thought maybe everything is obvious and there is nothing to say. Then we asked what to do when we return the vehicle late at night when the office is closed. He replied â€œthere is a Dropbox outside for the keyâ€. And that was it. He didn't say a word about checking in and checking out the vehicle. So we checked it before we left and called to report what we found (scratches on mirrors). When we returned, we dropped off the key in the Dropbox like advised and went home. Later we found out that we needed to go to a link from our phone to report where we dropped off the vehicle but must be at that location. Otherwise the app is stuck. So we drove back around midnight and sure enough the application picked up the location and proceeded with the next questions. These other questions require you to get in the vehicle and turn it on, but the key is already in Dropbox! So we came back the next morning to try to get the key and finish their â€œcheckoutâ€ process to avoid charging us $25 if they did it. A different person was at the front desk this time, and also barely said a word except â€œyou already checked outâ€, and that was it! We tried to explain the situation, but another person replied â€œyou're already checkoutâ€. So we had only one option left, which is to leave. On the way out, we overheard the second person say to the first person â€œI was going to say happy new year, but it's already a few days pastâ€. So our feedback is to suggest the front desk provide more information to customers like us (maybe we're too dense or old) to avoid going there 3 times instead of just once.Cherif A.

The facility didn't seem to be very clean. We visited our storage unit several times within two weeks and the same garbage that was laying there when we got there was still laying there outside the storage facility when we left. Also at the doorway there seemed to be an accumulation of a lot of garbage people might've just left there. My husband said the bathrooms were disgusting. The workers at the Walker's Point location were friendly and helpful and not pushing additional items like cartons. I rented a cargo van for five days with 800 miles. The van road well around town and highway getting 18.3 mpg whether loaded or not, also had a great heater. I definitely recommend this location for your rentals.ROBERT H.

We had our trailer that was put on by a uhaul employee detach in the middle of Milwaukee. Got charged again for the replacement and have had no satisfaction in calling. Our replacement had a flat tire in the middle of Milwaukee and it took 90 minutes to be fixed. We had 3 additional charges and got the insurance and are having issues getting the 4600.00 repairs approved by the insurance company.GREGORY P.

I've rented from Uhaul for every single move. This was the first year that I experienced such poor customer service. From the truck I had requested not being available day of (and the staff struggling to think of a solution for over half an hour) to my storage room move out not being processed for over a month. I was sent emails and mail threatening to put a lien on property in the storage unit despite moving out on the 11th of November. I tried calling the Walker's Point location multiple times and was always redirected to the Corporate number. Customer service reps for Corporate sent the Walker's Point location emails to tell them to get in contact with me, but they never did. Finally, I got a final bill yesterday reflecting my move out within the free month, no mention of late fees or anything. I assume it is because the staff finally took the time to actually go to my unit and see that it was cleaned out and empty. I will not be using Uhaul in Milwaukee for future moves. The only good thing you have going for you is being cheaper, but I would gladly pay more money to avoid the headaches I experienced this time around.Madeline O. | Overall Experience

Issues with this specific location/cargo van: 1. Vehicle was not properly cleaned/sanitized, it had smoke smell remaining inside. 2. Tire pressure not filled to the proper level, it was significantly below its specified level. The tire pressure warning sign was on due to that reason. 3. Wheel cover on one of the tires was not installed properly, causing the inability to remove the stem cap to fill tire pressure. 4. Fuel tank was less than half full, needed to fill gas tank immediately after receiving the vehicle. Issues with U-Haul's process: 1. The vehicle check out and return processes require smart phone with data connection, even when self-check out was not selected. This is an issue for people who doesn't have a smart phone or reliable data connection. 2. Pictures of the vehicle condition were not properly displayed (blank pictures) during the initial online check out process.Cheng C.

Staff is very unprofessional. Don't talk to your customers like they are your friends. Be compassionate when someone presents a problem to you, instead of acting annoyed that you have to follow up, respond to customers emails in a timely manner, allow customers to call the actual store itself if they need support. Found a roach on my belongings (how often are you exterminating?) Also, was charged for the month of December even thought my belongings were removed before the end of November. Spoke to the manager who said he would take care of it, still waiting for my refund…Just overall a ghetto experience. My whole experience with U-Haul for November 5th - 7th was terrible. I would not recommend you use them. Use any service but them. I am so disappointed in them, I'd drop what I am doing to help you move. Everything that could go wrong on their end did: No trucks (even though they confirmed them and guaranteed them), mischarges, sending me to the wrong address to return the truck (wasted over an hour of my time and the cost of gas) customer service took over an hour when trying to get access to my truck (only to find out they canceled my order), only allowed in-town when that wasn't what I was confirmed in my order. PLEASE DO NOT USE U-HAUL! Save yourself the trouble that I had.Karl B.

Picked up and delivered all U-boxes on time and usually early. Very friendly and helpful drivers and customer service reps. My containers withstood rain for weeks with absolutely no leaking. First, the people that work there were friendly and helpful. U-Haul as a company kind of blows. The self pickup timed out so I couldn't verify odometer or fuel. The cab had garbage in it. The trucks were parked so close together that the side mirrors almost touched. I could barely get into the truck. I could not take pictures of the sides or back. I could not open the back because it was parked against shrubbery. All and all I will be super happy if I never have to use your services again.Anthony H.
Getting the truck was fine, but the storeage location was a problem. 1st they rented me a store that was already rented. I didn't find out til we were there with a truck full and couldn't unload. Then they switched the rooms but I had to get a smaller room. From 10x15 to 10x10. Then I go with 2nd load and the card doesn't work on it's after hours so I had to keep the truck overnight for another night to have the card fixed so I can get into unload the truck. A couple of things: 1) I requested the ability to pick via the app before the site opened but when I arrived at 730am for a 8am pick up, I was told but your call center that the site dis not set up the truck for early pickup. This delayed me substantially. 2) Thw front desk employee smelled strongly of pot. Further, the truck can smelled strongly of pot. I left the windows open even though it was cold and the smell did not dissipate. 3) I was unable to return the truck to the proper drop off spot because it was extremely small. There is no way that I could safely reverse into that small space. Instead, I left the truck in another open space on the lot. 4) I tried to contact the call center when I returned the truck and after waiting 20 minutes on hold, I told that I would need to wait another 55 minutes to speak with someone. I hung the phone up at that point. This was not a good experience and I would classify myself as a detractor/demoter of UHaul.JASON S.

I just got done moving to Milwaukee with my rented UHaul truck. When I arrived the front desk setup my access key to the wrong building so I had to go back to the front desk to get the correct access key for my storage unit building. As I open my storage unit there is no lock in there so I had to go back up to the front again to get the lock. In the process I received an email my reservation was canceled. When everything was moved into the unit, I dropped off the truck with a gentleman working with the UHaul drop offs.
