I came to this location to make a reservation for cargo van and was told to go to the Knox Abbott Drive location. The associate at Knox Abbott Drive was able to reserve a cargo van to be picked up at the Orchard Road location. I feel that the back and forth was not necessary. If the worker had just took the time to be more through when looking for a the van. But overall it was a pleasant experience.TERESA D.

I need someone to call me so I can complain. It actually isn't the pick up places fault it is the lies I was told from Uhaul International. I am expecting a phone call back quickly. Due to changing my pickup location which caused me more miles JUST so I could get blanket pads that I ordered just to be told that they only had 6 blankets for a one way trip. But they refunded met3 and a half dozen blankets. Now my kitchen table is very scratched due to not having the blankets that I called around for more than two hours to try and get. I was overcharged. My reservation was for a $19.99 truck. When i arrived to pick it up they couldn't find the keys so i pd the difference and rented the largest box truck because that was all that was available. I was told that there was Â¼ tank of gas there was actually â…›, I took a picture of it. I returned it with the exact same amount of gas. I am extremely disappointed in this negligence. This location was never a part of my rental and I never returned anything to them (I live in St. Louis), so they fraudulently charged me for a uhaul trailer they never actually had in their possession. I've been trying to resolve this issue for almost three weeks to get a refund on the more than $600 they charged me and can never get through to the actual location. Uhaul corporate customer service said they spoke to the general manager, Wade, and he was correcting this issue but it's been over a week and nothing is still resolved. I've spent HOURS on hold and with customer service to get this fixed and still no resolution. HORRIBLE experience with Uhaul and this location.Lauren S.

Had called to confirm the morning of my reservation (that i had made 4 weeks prior) that i could head over and pick up the truck. Got to the location, waited in line for two hours (as i was unable to use the mobile check in because UHAUL has twice changed my reservation the preceding day), only to get to the front for the employee to say that the truck was not there, and was expected to be there at 2 PM (4 hours after my scheduled reservation). I was also told that i was not guaranteed to have the truck there at 2PM if i came back later. I came back at 1:30 (anticipating another hour wait), and was curtly told â€œI was thirty minutes earlyâ€ when in fact my reservation was for four hours earlier. When we inquired as to why a truck wasn't available at our scheduled time, we were simply told â€œit wasn't the stores fault because most of these reservations are made online or over the phoneâ€ - still not entirely sure how a reservation made online through the company's website somehow became my burden and issue when the truck i reserved was not available. Terrible customer service. The rude employee there gave me a lot of attitude when I asked how long it will take to give me a new truck since the first one had a lot of wind noise. This employee threatened to cancel my rental and told me to go somewhere else bc I asked how long it would take after coming back for a better truck. Upon giving me the truck he didn't sweep it up inside and I don't think he did a good job COVID cleaning it inside (very sloppy). He opened the truck door and just went inside until I asked him if the truck is ready to go. He just mumbled yes to me as he's walking away from me. Obviously i was a burden and nuisance to this last employee for the second truck. I didn't feel welcome in this place for the truck switch. Overall very poor experience. I would fire this employee for this rude nonsense behavior because he probably treats other customers the same. He was more than happy to cancel my rental and get rid of me. Also the trucks are not ready when a customer comes to pick it up. The employees run around frantically â€œcleaningâ€ it. This is a bad place to rent uhaul stuff bc they are severely understaffed. The trucks are beat up. I rate this place 1/5sergey S.

No lighting on the facility or inside the units so its impossible to see inside after dark. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I was located at the WEST Columbia site in SC of Orchard. This site had a .problem with bookkeeping. One time they accidentally got the locks switch on my storage so they had to issue me a new lock because they didnt know which key belong to my storage, I paid my storage off August 2019 and removed all my items out of this storage unit into my new resident. Almost a year later July of 2020 they contact me saying they about to sell my unit. I explain to them I moved my items out in August 2019. They state its items within the unit and because they found a letter with my name on it, the items must belong to me. I explained that when I cleaned my stuff out it did become dark. I may have accidentally left a paper or two because it was dark but my items was removed August 2019. How could I have a storage there for an entire year and it never got sold, I never got a letter or a call until July 2020, That it was an error.MELISA Y. | Overall Experience

I am appalled by the lack of customer service practices regarding contacting customers when they are broken into.
