The reservations number I called to reserve this trailer as well as the team at this location are a joke. The reservations person lied to me and told me I had to pre-pay for 2 weeks on the trailer or I would be charged penalty fees, even though I made it clear to them I was unsure if I needed it for 1 week or 2 weeks. They told me the additional money I pay would be refunded if returned early. This was not true and I have now contacted UHAUL 7 times and still have not received my refund, even though thye told me I would by now. I will never use UHAUL again and the reservations team member should be fired for lying to their customers (I assume they did this so they can get higher commission). I also work closely with a job training program where we move people across the country to fill positions across out company. I will make sure those dozens of peers also do not use UHAUl and use Penske instead. At this point I want a full refund because of this terrible service and how long it has taken for me to get my $200 refund from the additional charges

I know it’s not anything that can be totally controlled but emphasizing the “no smoking” rule. The smell lingers and is very potent. Aside from that, the truck got the job done and everything went smoothly.

A person shouldn’t get charged an after hours fee if they return the vehicle and place the keys in the drop box during the agreed upon time. A customer shouldn’t be charged an after hours fee if they check in the vehicle on the app. My advice to everyone would be to say they don’t have a cell phone to use uhauls buggy app.

I dropped off after hours and the spaces filled up quickly. However, there was plenty of more space ahead of the front trucks that could have been pulled up further to accommodate more trucks behind.

It's very convenient but they need more parking. Because it's a busy location it is very hard to find a spot to park. Also, we never received a receipt from the location we were originally charged for a 2 day rental incorrectly but only used 1 day and didn't receive any info on a refund for the time we didn't use.

Horrible experience, avoid going here at any cost. They were rude, short and unhelpful. Didn’t have the truck cleaned out so after they had asked me to get in it, they had me get back out to wipe it down. The cab smelled so horrible of smoke I almost got sick. Then they asked us to pull around back to hook the dolly up which we did ourselves because we didn’t see the worker coming, when she did finally come to help us, she had a cigarette hanging out of her mouth and wasn’t even completely sure how to show us how to hook it up. Then we drive 26hours from Charlotte to Minnesota, go to return the equipment and turns out they didn’t even have checked out to us the tow dolly so had we gotta pulled over on our trip we would have been in trouble for stolen equipment. Thankfully the girl in Minnesota caught what was going on. Absolute worst experience with the Charlotte location DO NOT GO THERE. This is a review I left absolutely AWFUL ridiculous I even had to pay for what I was provided....

Ordered throw blankets in online order. Blankets were not included when vehicle was picked up. On-site attendant confirmed charge would not be included on final bill; charge was included on final bill for items that were never received.

Make accurate gas level amount! I took a pic of the gas level in the vehicle ,1/4 tank , at drop off the Charlotte location had written 3/8 tank so at drop off Washington pa location tried to charge me $74 for an 1/8 th tank of fuel .I suggest when your mgmt reads fuel they also take a pic with date /TIME FOR ACCURACY. But I'm sure you'll read this comment and nothing will be addressed, because you really dont care now that our business interaction is complete.

the equipment I paid to rent was not on the truck I rented nor was I told to grab the equipment so needless to say I end up having to pay for extra gas and mileage that was uhaul fault

This was some BULLSHIT..EXCESSIVE CHARGES.. I only had your truck one hour.. I picked it up at 1:27 I drove 23 miles put $10 worth of gas in and bought the truck back at 2:45... And was charged $92.. I bought it back the way I picked it up... Can you charge me almost $50 for fuel charge.. I ask about a receipt before I left... you told me that my credit card was on file don't worry about it I'll check the Truck in Later and I see a charge of $92 for something that should a cost no more than $50..

If a customer has a problem, the customer service center should have them call the manager at the respective U-Haul location. The manager at the N. Tryon St location in Charlotte went out of his way to be very helpful.

Great owner/ staff! Very helpful. Lots of trucks.Would not access facility at night- the property has a lot of foot traffic since it is not gated- but has key card access to inside storage.

Sign said wait outside to by equipment to turn it in. I had to go inside and a staff member had to tell somebody to come out side to get the equipment. Once the process started the staff member was "ok".

I had to do multiple walks around the building to find the truck because it wasn’t where it was listed, after the third attempt the employee finally went and got me a different truck. After we drove 10 miles to our storage unit we opened the back and the entire back of the truck had puddles of water and was soaked like it was just cleaned and not dryed. We had to waste miles driving to the store to get towels to dry up the back so our furniture wouldn’t get soaked.

Did not have the equipment that I reserved and no prior notification that item wasn’t available until I showed up for reservation. Employee provided miss information regarding charges upon check out. Had to void my first reservation due to employee error. Was supposed to hear from the GM but she/he never responded to my compliant.

The only problem we encountered was the latch to the back part of the truck was locked with a padlock we did not have a key for and had to force open. Could have caused problems for us had we not been able to do that, but otherwise everything went smoothly and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I arrived at the store around 5:30 pm on Nov. 26 and there appeared to be only person assisting customers at the front desk. There were 5 customers in front of me so I had to leave and come back.
