This is the 2nd truck I've rented in a month. When I turned in the first one, a worker came out and inspected the truck before I left. I had commented that the dolly and furniture pads had been in the way and he advised I could ask them to remove them. This time, when I got in the truck it was filthy. An inch of dust on the steering column and dashboard and the windshield was so filthy inside and out that I couldn't hardly see out of it. So given the added restrictions of the covid rules, this truck was obviously not cleaned let alone disinfected. Additionally, a worker wouldn't take the dolly out prior to me leaving and when I turned the truck in, he's the same jerk who wouldn't get out of his chair to come outside and do his job, instead telling me to leave the keys in the truck and he'd email me a receipt (never looking up from his computer). U-Haul as a company and this location specifically is a terrible company. Very inconsistent on your policies (and apparently training) and it's a 50/50 shot if you'll get a friendly employee or a totally lazy rude one. You also offer no discounts for multiple truck rentals like I needed and no discounts for Fire/Police/Military like every other company. I have rented U-Hauls many, many times over my lifetime and it seems it's always a below average to bad experience when dealing with UHaul corporation.DAVID S.

I am a monthly rental unit renter and use your trucks several times throughout the year. I returned a rental yesterday morning and dealt with rudest arrogant child running your store! Guy was arguing with me about basic math101 and was trying to overcharge me around $40. When I asked for clarification of the charges he was annoyed and in the end completely wrong with his breakdown. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one available. Asked for the manager's contact info and was told to call the 800 number. This completely explains all of your one star ratings online for this location! Horrible quality service! Truck was not prepared; we had to sit 30+ minutes melting/clearing ice and snow off the windows and lights. It did not have the amount of gas in it stated on the contract. We were already late for our appointment due to lack of help in the store: one young man working alone couldn't process the pick-ups and returns in a reasonable time. Overall I was disapointed. I reserved a 20' trailer but when I arrived I was told they only had a 26'. There was only one guy working and he was stressed and being gruff with everyone. You got our order completely wrong; size truck and location included. I confirmed my order on the phone and everything was correct and then an employee called my husband with a completely wrong order and informed us of having to pick up at a different location. He also told my husband that we could pick up between 7am and 9am and when we got there we were told we couldn't get it until 9. He also told my husband a different price than what we were charged. Well it was inconvenient that I was charged 20 dollars for the online return. I thought I could do it from home but could not and the truck was already on its way to be dropped off by my brother. To drop off my truck online I was promoted to then take pictures and also would not let me do the return unless my phones location was in your parking lot.I feel I was taken advantage of. I only had the truck for 12 hours. I set reservations for 7am but did not pick up the truck until 930am. The young woman did not now who I was or were my reservation was. I also never received a mileage report. As for the truck it was horrible, I did not dare to shut of the truck because it was hard to start and I had to get moving to me new home. U-haul rep at this location that I worked with did a very poor job representing U-haul. Was promised a 26' truck with low mileage from the regional u-haul 1 way scheduler in Brunswick ME. The U-haul guy I dealt with pretty much indicated you get what I give you. Which turned out to be a tired truck with 146,000+ miles. Clearance light was out, power steering had problems and the cargo compartment leaked water in 2 places on my personal property! Loads 2 & 3 going to Texas will be on a Penske 26' truck.NICHOLAS B.

I was charged for extra milage and fuel that I was not aware of. I was not advised of this charge until I saw it in an email days later. I called to inquire about this and a 200.00 credit we were due since UHaul asked us to return the truck to a different location than we had set up in the reservation and we had not received it yet. Overall experience on renting the truck was not good. Made the reservation 2 weeks prior to the rental date and received a call Friday after noon to tell me that the truck I rented was not available at the location I choose and told me I had to go to another location 40 minutes away for the rental. When you are trying to move and stressed out already then told I have to go to another location, yes I was very upset. The online experience was terrible and you are given misleading information. I was told as well that I could do the self check in to get the truck and that was never set up. I have rented from Uhaul before and have never had this much issues. The truck was fine. When renting however, I asked about additional days because when completing online it only went up to 24 hours. The guy said it would be fine, and the amount billed would be just be adjusted when the truck was returned. I picked the truck up at 4 pm on Thursday. We needed the truck an extra day but was then called at 5pm Friday and told the truck needed to be back before opening the following day because it had been rented out again. We had the truck back before 7am opening on Saturday as requested but I was still charged the 2nd day even though I couldn't/ didn't keep the truck until 4pm. Saturday.Amanda G.

He charged me $54.dollars for the truck and another $20. For the trailer which was returned on Tuesday. So he says I'll take off the $20. Where to start. Thank god it was a free month because we rented a uhaul trailer cross country or I never would have lasted the month. There are soooo many trucks parked everywhere it is hard to drive around or park your vehicle. There was always a truck parked in front of all one side of the units. We were going to sign on for a year but it is too busy in that lot and way too many headaches and besides we found a unit in town for half the price uhaul quoted me!
