The rental I went to pick up was not pick up ready, not clean, tires were low, fuel gage was wrong, mileage was wrong, lost an hour time i needed to get going, and then after arriving to my destination with the van the oil light came on. The van was 3 quartz low on oil, I contacted uhaul about it, and asked them if I got oil put in it myself and saving the receipts to be reimbursed for it. They said yeah that's fine. Because of the 1 hour loss of time getting this rental ready completely, i was 40 minutes late dropping off. Upon my return equipment inspection I stated that I do not agree to the additional rental charge due to no fault of my own. It is the fault of this company wasting my time I needed to have this van. If they actually had this vehicle ready 100% and didn't cost me my hour's time I would have made it back on time for drop off.BRENDA J.

Our UHAUL had a driver seat belt that did not buckle. The mileage out was listed wrong and the location was closed and could not speak with them, as well as they notated the truck had a half a tank of gas when it actually had a 1/4 tank. This was all frustrating to us as the location was closed and we were unable to speak with anyone. We called customer support and they made notations on our account. Not to mention I was extremely concerned for our safety as the driver seat belt did not buckle. I would not return to this location. Poor communication from the employees which resulted in me waiting for my vehicle for 30 minutes when it was sitting on the other side of the building.KAITLYN P.
I reminded the guys at the Grandview location, twice, that I ordered and paid for moving blankets but they never put them in the trailer...I was still charged for them, of course (even though I called and told them that they forgot to put them in there for us and they assured me that they would credit that money). The furniture that I was hauling acquired some dings and scuffs, while in transport, that would have been avoided had I had the moving blankets that I paid for. Also, I booked the trailer until 7pm. The guy inside said they were open till 7, the guys outside said that they close at 5. When we got back at 6:30 they were closed so we had to figure out how to unhook the trailer ourselves. Lastly, when we were leaving, they blocked both exits with other trucks leaving only a sliver of space to get through so we spend the first 30 minutes of our rental time trying to maneuver a huge truck, towing a trailer, through a very small clearing. Honestly, as much as I've used uhaul throughout the years, this is, by far, my worst experience.Alicia H.

The staff was rude and not helpful at all. The layout of the lot was poorly designed and hard to navigate for vehicles pulling trailers. The outdoor staff that was removing the trailer from the hitch appeared to be inexperienced and when the trailer wasn't coming off the hitch easily he ran off a slew of swear words that was completely inappropriate around customers. I am glad that there were no children present. The location was having computer system trouble and their lot attendant was not able to give me a return receipt. I had to go inside and demand some form a receipt, I got a little attitude from a staff member and finally the manager scribbled a note on the bottom of my rental contract that the trailer was returned. Please note that the trailer was returned on Saturday, December 18 and not Monday, December 20th.Randall S.

Better organization. Be prepared to retrieve the reserved trucks. I guess there was a truck parked in the way and the keys were missing, so I had to wait an hour for my reservation. In a rush I ended up forgetting the paperwork I needed to get the VIN inspected on my vehicle so I basically reserved this for nothing.JACK T.

Be honest about all of the charges upfront instead of having more fees added on at time of rental. The cab of the truck we rented smelled of smoke and weed. Also whoever assigned this truck wrote the reservation on the driver's side of the front window. That was very much in the way of the driver's line of sight for driving. The lockbox or dropbox for keys was a flap in the door, it didn't look like the picture from the website for instructions to return keys. Thanks for lending us the truck but we most likely will find other means of loading and moving our items for our next move.Johnathan S.

This location was fine, but our original reservation was to be picked up at the Noland Rd. location and we were told our reservation was for the next day. I was able to show them the receipt I showing we were there on the correct day. We were set to this location several miles away to get the van. Most of the people at this location were very rude. I ask if it was possible to change the drop off location to peculiar. The guy instead of politely explaining to me why I couldn't do that. Says to another guy that there would be additional charge reminding he's not saying this to me but says it loud enough for me to hear I then ask why and very rudely says well they'll be making money off my truck so you'll have to pay another 150. The only gentleman that was nice to me was an older gentleman that told me stories about his youth. Then when I take the truck back the guy got upset because he told me I owed extra but couldn't really explain to me why and then finally called someone because my card wouldn't let him charge anything else. Found out it was a computer issue and was told someone would call me back next day to get permission to run card. Never got a call back. I will never rent from this location ever again. I'm not sure if it would have been different if my husband had gone in instead of me I guess they thought because I'm a woman I'm stupid or something.Shana P.

I reserved my truck in advance and online. They didnt have a 20ft truck so I had to get a 26ft truck which burns more fuel. Also not appliance dolly or furniture dolly's available. Mobile systems sucks, you still have to wait in line to pick up equipment. 30 minutes waiting. The trucks average 7MPG.DAVID M.

When a customer has a set scheduled time it would be nice to be able to receive the equipment when scheduled. I had a reservation at 8am and was not able to actually speak with an associate until about 8:15 because several of them were just standing around telling us to wait for one particular worker. I ended up not leaving the lot until close to 8:40 However I paid for and needed a full 4 hours from 8am until 12 and I arrived on property at around 7:45am. It's very frustrating to select a time for a specific purpose and that time not be met, because of this I was unable to finish the job that was needed. I'm very disappointed with my experience. There needs to more available workers on staff to see customers and get them in and out at their designated times rather then Stand around and watch another person do all the work. On top of that the new damage system was not explained to me In the past I would be given a paper and gold to go Out and check the trial and a worker would verify. I had to go outside find my Own truck and also come back in to ask how the process works. I was told I was sent a text.. I still had to figure it out on my own which also made the process lengthy. Again very disappointed in the lack of customer service. Not to mention there was full box of ritz crackers in the glove box and a full machete in the back seat area. Very weird and dangerous. I probably will not be using this company or location again. I would rather go to a company that values your time.Christina B.

Had problems reaching the office directly. I left several messages and made 2 calls to 800 # to inform them of my move out date. A few weeks later I received a notice telling me I defaulted and would lose my belongings. Not professional in my opinion. Terrible customer service. I walked in and wasn't greeted by the first person that saw me. I went up to him to let him know I had a reservation and he just pointed for me to go to the other gentleman that was there. This happened when I picked up the truck AND again when I dropped it off. When I dropped off the truck, I told the gentleman I was returning it, he just took the key from me and walked off without saying anything. So I followed him. He went outside to the truck, so I asked him if there was anything else I needed to do- he said no. Very poor communication and customer service at this location.Nikki H.

This location could maybe use more staff at the end of the month. We came in to pick up a truck we had already reserved on line, and stood in line for half an hour. The one person who was working was really good and once we got to him, it only took a few minutes to get everything taken care of. The place was full of people trying to get a truck though, and even though he clearly knew what he was doing and was helping people, there were just too many customers to have just one person at the desk.JOSHUA R.
