There was trash left in the van from the last two users including their contracts, a used toothbrush, and a used facemask. These were all in obvious places in the cabin itself; not in the cargo area. When I pointed it out to employees, the attitude was â€œoh wellâ€œ. There was no sorry or anything else, the employee just wanted to get the bill closed and me out of there. I suppose I should've acted like it a jerk instead of being nice about it. Maybe then I would've got some reasonable response such as an apology or even an offer of a discount.ROBERT D.

This has nothing to do with the location as I have used them numerous times over the last few decades. The Mobile App fails to meet my expectations. I was unable to take a picture of my dash to show the mileage and gas as it would not accept any picture I took. There is a green checkmark that appears to be an OK but there is nothing to continue and accept the picture. Any option I tried with the checkmark or X failed and I was unable to continue. Being unable to continue after ten attempts, I gave up, which means the app fails and degrades the customer experience. Apparently from the staff at the site, this happens on a regular basis.Lance K.

They need more parking room. And have signs that say ONE WAY in their parking lot and and ENTER AND EXIT SIGN. Too many people don't pay attention then block others from getting because of going the wrong way.Lori G.

Went to pick up and the lady in front of me and myself waited for at least 10 minutes. No one in the store to help us.Abbie M.
Truck pax door was broken, headliner broken, cigarette burns on driver door, arm rest broken, alignment problems, overall poor condition. The store did not have the appliance dolly I reserved. What is the point of a reservation? I scheduled pickup by mobile device. The truck I was directed to was not on the lot. No trucks of the size I reserved were accessible on the lot. If I want to do contactless mobile pickup, my truck with all the reserved equipment should be staged and ready for pickup by the close of business the day before pickup. Upon return, the technician was screaming at another customer and I had my 7yr old son with me. This location needs a lot of improvement.JAMES M.

Limited 24-hour duration rental was a pain. We preferred a 48-hour rental, but we're told it was not available, that we would have to call corporate office to see if any were available in the area. Added more stress to an already stressful move. We opted to make the 24 hour rental work.Kerry H.

Nothing needs fixing. I would like to commend the rental agent who helped me. In the middle of filling out my contract, A rather rude person butted in and said "I would like to just ask a quick question" He tried to badger the rental clerk Preston Leftwich. This is a very busy location for Uhaul...... They do a great job of taking care of each customer. I had a short wait, they checked out the lights and then un-hooked the trailer and I was on my way. Great job guys!!!JOHN S.
The employee said I could report the condition or damage to the trailer on a phone app. When I opened the app 10 minutes later it said, "time expired" so I can't report the condition of the trailer. The same thing happened 2 weeks ago when I rented a truck at the 1050 E MacArthur location. 5 minutes later it said, "time expired". Uhaul - Please have IT fix this problem.Darrell H.

The staff were busy and seemed overwhelmed at this location, but were doing best they could given how busy it was. One issue, I had reserved an appliance dolly in advance. Despite reserving the item in advance, it was not available at time of pick up. The counter agent, offered to search for one at another location but this would mean driving rented uhaul truck out of the way at $1.09/ mile to go get dolly. (My other vehicle is convertible, no way was appliance dolly gonna fit in my car). I had to leave without appliance dolly I had counted on. No discount other than rental charge for item I reserved to be taken off and an appology. Yes, I could have rented a regular dolly there but I already owned one and regular dolly not moving multiple appliances up/down stairs like what the appliance dolly would have!! Also, my initial reservation was made for Neitzel Hardware Uhaul location off of Lewis ST. This location was reverved in advance, confirmed and supposed to be my pick up and drop off location. This Neitzel location was very close to my home and the new location I was moving, the forcible change to new Uhual towns east location, put additional miles at $1,09/ mile on my move. I trusted Neitzel, I have done business with Neitzels Hardware for over 15 years. Lastly, the most important factor which the owners of Towne east Uhaul could do is put up better signage of where to enter and exit thier parking/ retail/ return areas. Each time we went to the location for pick up and drop offs. Multiple customers were dropping off tow trailers in areas they should not be dropped off. One tow trailer was dropped off and abandoned in front of retail area blocking traffic circle outside of retail store. You could not see the this blockage from the Pawnee entrances since Uhauls are parked for display between the traffic circle and circle drive. Once you turned off pawnee and in the entrance, it was to late. You were going to have to back up and by this time cars or trucks were contining to enter blocking you in on both sides. Still a second tow trailer was in process of having car driven off of tow trailer which was still attached to the 20' Uhual truck and a 3rd tow trailer had been dropped off in other parking lot location and left unattended blocking entrance marked returns. No one wants to back up a 20' Uhaul down a one way circle drive, but that is what we faced from the free for all in the parking/ return areas. Yes, it was busy weekend in August, but the amount of people with no place to go and bottlenecks caused by people having dropped off equipment in places other than back areas of rental returns and no worker seeing to proper equipent removal made things worse. Entrances were not marked clearly. It was a cluster of a mess in surface lots. This is something which could be improved. Currently there is road construction outside of this location on pawnee, shutting down a full lane of traffic infront of this location which is likely making the lack of marked entrances even worse. The Uhual truck was relatively new, it was clean and in good condition. The rented furniture pads were also clean. I was frustrated that I was unable to rent from 1st choice location, I was later told by Neizel hardware that a switch had to be made. That the initial 20' truck had a converter stolen from out of the truck and this is only other location where I could still rent the 20' truck, The customer service person at the Uhauls 800$ said despite it adding additional miles on my local move they would not move truck location of discount based on their switch it was, "take it or leave it'" Since my move was only two days away. I had to take it and additional milage expense I had not planned on. At least Neitzel Hardware explained reason for unexpected loss of truck when I later called them direct. Overall, the move went fair. I expected some hiccups, it's not my 1st move in busy summer season. I wasnt gonna be a Karen about it. Wanted to say, just be prepared because you too may be faced multiple times with, "take it or leave it" even when you have reserved in advance, you gotta have plan B.April L.
I have been to alot of Uhaul centers. This one I would rank the THE lowest in terms of ease of use. The staff have to make due with what built, not their fault. I ONY came to this 1 due to convivence of location. The parking is slim, 6 of the spots close to door is so you can advertise trucks, WHY? DUH I was located on the 2nd floor, a lift of some type would be handy instead of ALL stairs. People have stuff to move and it hurts your back taking those stairs multiple times. AGIAN the most inconvenient set up and layout of a Uhaul center I have ever entered. DEF will not recommend nor ever use again.
