There was confusion between to truck I was told on the Uhaul app verse the truck the on-site system said was reserved for me. I would look into what causes these systems to be conflicting for a better customer experience. Staff onsite were helpful to resolve the issue quickly.Jason B.

My original reservation was to pick up a 4x8 trailer at the Campbell, California location. I got a call the night before from someone telling me that I'd have to pick up the trailer at the Fremont, California location. They offered no compensation for the situation. I asked multiple times to speak to a manager because this was an inconvenience and especially because this trailer was so expensive. She put me on hold. When the representative returned to the line, she said she spoke with her manager and they would only offer $50 compensation. I asked for a different trailer, and they said that was the only one available in the area and the person that had it before me returned it to the wrong location. When I actually picked up the trailer, it was the oldest I've ever seen. The "U-Haul" was nearly worn off and it had broken plastic off the lights and reflectors. It needed to be retired or serviced at the very least. For the price I paid for this trailer $2,300, I should have been offered a free upgrade or at least a better compensation amount for the inconvenience of having to drive to a further away location and pull this outdated equipment. I will not be using U-Haul again. It's cheaper to buy a trailer of my own.MAJEL S.
I can't recommend using U-Haul until corporate management has the strength to follow the true "nonpolitical" science and stop the BS with forcing your employees to wear masks and asking customers to wear masks. It's like saying a window screen will stop water from entering. It is laughable. Your mask corporate policy is a joke and so are each of you for supporting a lie. It is time to move on and accept that all Federal, State, Local and Corporate policies to stop the spread did not work and only harmed society, full stop. Be brave and stop being sheep heading to slaughter.DAVID T.

If customers are required to return the vehicle clean, I would expect that the vehicle be cleaned prior to the customer using it as well. Also, the â€œgas gauge estimate chartâ€ that I was provided on how much gas was required to get to the necessary level, was way off. Aside from the that, the customer service team on-site was very helpful, and friendly, and the vehicle did not have any major issues, or mechanical problems. Will definitely be using this location in the future.Brandon T.
I needed to move furniture so I rented a truck, furniture dolly and pads online. When I arrived to pickup the order I was told that there were no furniture dollys. This was a major problem as the reason I reserved the truck and hired someone to help with the move was to move furniture. The staff told me that ordering equipment, e. g. dollys, and leaving a deposit online does not guarantee that you will get one when you arrive to get the truck. This is deceptive and unacceptable. After some terse back and forth with the staff she was able to give me the dolly that I had ordered in advance online.Leo T.

Make sure the tanks are full at pick up. Mine was 3/4 full, which is ok, but the problem is filling it back up the gas gauge is not very responsive until you start driving it again. Ultimately I ended up filling the tank all the way up as I watched the gauge not really move at all while filling. So of course there is no reimbursement or at least put some of the credit towards the mileage. So, I was out the $30 in gas. Why not just make sure the tanks are full when the vehicle is picked up, then the next guy just has to fill it back up, simple, no worries about the fuel gauge not being reactive when filling back up and no one gets shorted or over pays, it's an amazing concept, I know right? Anyway, this is a gripe I'm sure will just go ignored, because I doubt anyone really gives a shit. I gave a 5 star because everything else went really well, just this gas thing has me a bit pissed about giving away $30 for free. Regards, DanDANIEL W.

The door of the truck didn't close properly, the representative helped me to close the door but I had the same issue throughout the day. The door was slightly open while I was driving in the highway. I run a nonprofit symphony, the 20 ft truck was just the right size for moving equipment. The truck worked well. However, I was told that the truck had a half tank of fuel - it didn't it was below half a tank. I was told I needed to bring it back half full and if I didn't I would be charged the price of gasoline + $6.00/gallon to get it to half full. I only drove 12 miles. Nevertheless, I needed to put in 5 gallons of gasoline to bring it to half full. The bill for the 5 gallons I added was $25.00. I don't believe this is fair.JAMES C.

The storage access hours does not reflect the correct timing. I saw the access hours and had a truck loaded with my stuff ready to unload and the building gate is locked. The office hours are done so couldn't contact them and the customer service wasn't helpful on call.
