I use Uhaul 2-3 times a year. My recommendation is purely based on my location's selection and availability, not about service level. No matter how few people are in line at this location, I always have to wait. Always. In my last reservation, I counted five employees walk past me for a total of ten minutes with NO ONE in line. I finally asked, "Are you open?" before I was acknowledged. Ten minutes - mostly alone in the office as employees wandered around with no sense of urgency. I stopped using the mobile app a year ago, because ironically, it takes longer to rent a vehicle and requires an employee. And why do you ask for things like license picture on your reservation website module? I always have to provide it again on site. I typically budget 45 minutes to get in and out of your location because of massive incompetence by your staff and general operational guidelines. My last time was a record 25 minutes with no one else in line and a reservation with all my information pre-filled out.IN C.
It would be better if the gas level is always full and each customer just has to fill it up when returning. It's hard knowing exactly what level the gas was. You guys are the best. I'm always coming to this location.Abdoul K.

I had to wait 15 min for the check-in as I wanted a printed receipt to verify the charges for mileage. Otherwise the check in was efficient when I was meet at the vehicles when I pulled in.DANIEL F.

The young woman who checked me in was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful taking time to explain all options to me. From there it went downhill. Gas tank was not full and cab was dirty. Poor selection of dollies. Had to rent an appliance dolly which was more expensive and too much for the task I had to perform. My issues with this rental wee not based on the location or staffing. Staff members on site were delightful and helpful. I was QUITE agitated with the app and the alleged contact-less pick-up promised by the Web site. I was so agitated in fact that this will be the LAST time I use U-haul. At the time of pick-up, I was finally being prompted to upload a photo, a driver's license, etc., all of which *should* have been requested in advance of that so that my move could start on time and NOT 45 minutes later than scheduled.William H.

Your app is horrible. I checked in online prior to pickup but none of that info was in the system. We had to repeat everything I did in advance. App I does not work for self return. I have tried numerous times to add photos of the trailer I rented. Your app fails every time. I would fire you app developer and start fresh. Hooks on mist trailers will not fit on my hitch. Only the newer trailers have large hooks. Though I will not always know if when I arrive at uhaul whether they will have a trailer that will fit my hitch. One last item is that one of the reps did not have a working wire. We spent 20 mins problem solving. Then the mgr came up and showed her wire was broken. If she had a tester, she would have not wasted my time. In fact she was going to cancel my res since she thought the issue was on my truck. She needs better training.RONALD W.

I called when returning late and paid for an extension they refuse to understand this and keep telling me I owe them more. it's infuriating and leads me to not endorse using them to anyone elsemichael R.
I was given incorrect information regarding the return policy by a UHaul representative (the store did not answer my call so my call was redirected to the customer support hotline) . Because of that incorrect information I received was unfairly charged an additional $100. Rather than the store immediately refunding the money, I have to wait up to 72 hours to hear back from customer service to correct this issue. It's extremely frustrating that my money is tied up because of an issue that was not my fault. In the future, if the issue is on the fault of the company, it's my belief that it should be up to the store to have their $100 tied up, not the customer.WHITNEY E.

I WANT to write a 5-star review for this service, but unfortunately I lost about $440 using U-Haul's affiliated service, Moving Help. I cancelled an order (#80ef9c66) on 10/29, and was assured that a refund should appear in my account within a week or so. I've called U-Haul customer service three times now, and each time the service rep apologized for the delay and said they'd fixed the problem. Still no sign of the money in my account. THIS IS FOR THE GEORGIA AVENUE LOCATION IN DC. I showed up ready to move and there was no one at the Uhaul location. I followed the prompts on my phone to pick up the Uhaul truck using contactless pickup, however, my app kept saying the location wasn't open until 8 am even though it was 9 am of the same day. I called the number provided and the person on the phone told me this Uhaul location was closed EVEN THOUGH I WAS ABLE TO RESERVE A TRUCK THAT DAY. Seriously, this is a terrible location and I'm not alone. Look at the Google Reviews. I had to drive 15 miles away to the New Hampshire avenue location where the customer service was mediocre but was able to get a truck quickly. Regardless I had to pay extra for the miles. It would be nice to have more directions regarding dropping off the truck. I asked how to return the truck when I picked it up and was told that would be guys around outside that I could ask when I got back. When I tried to get more clarity, I was told the same thing. There are many guys milling about the Uhaul property but it's hard to tell if they are employees and if not, if I could get correct information from them. I ended up dropping off using the app to drop because I was confused about where to take the truck and it seemed like there wasn't any employees around to ask. When I put the key in the drop off slot, it fell on the ground inside the store. Since I had already paid via the app, I just left it there without checking that someone would know to come get it.JOHN M.

Windshield was not clean plus pickup bed was full of leaves. Some pick up trucks had bungie cords in the back bed but personal said that the pickup I had did not come with one.
