Returning the truck after hours was a big problem. Instructions on the contract didn't work for the driver. We had to call Customer Service, where a representative named Sarah was able to give me directions that worked. Very frustrating experience for the volunteer driver on a tiring late Saturday night. Clarify the available directions without the customer having to call Customer Service, only possible this time because I was home where I could use my computer to make it happen for my driver.

I paid $152 when I went to pick the cargo van up I ended up renting it for an extra day was told by customer service on phone night before that it would be $33 and some change call the next morning was told the same then my card was charged $40.35 also was told there was damage that they thought but they would call and let me know before anything was done at 9am an hour after I return it i get a reciept showing the $152 and the $40 so there for I thought nothing more plus the young guy never called back then a little after 11am I receive a receipt for an additional $195 I never talked to anyone about damages what I would be charged nothing and did not authorize that charge I even asked the guy to please call me back and let me know something. My account is now $147 in the negative due to this when I never even knew about the amount or discussed the damage was not even for sure that there was any. This is not right by no means

The truck smelled like an ash tray, but it was very clean.

The truck we "reserved" in our online reservation was not available so we were given a larger one for the same price. My only gripe with this is that we specifically altered our request because we did not know if the bigger truck would fit where we were moving. The people helping us were so nice and busy that we did not make a fuss since the reason they were giving it to us was because all the 15 ft ones were gone. I guess I am just wondering why we are "reserving" trucks online if they are not going to be actually reserved for us upon pick up. I understand we are not being charged until we complete the order but I would rather pay something upfront to ensure I will have what I need day of move. Regardless, I will use the service again - just thought I would offer my perspective. Overall a solid experience.

The first trailer we hooked up had electrical problems. We had to use a second trailer. They should be checked before being assigned to save time. Also I was told that I would have to wait to get my drop off location. I thought that would be fine- there are two nearby in Port Angeles/Sequim area.

I appreciate the fact that I arrived about 30 minutes after hours, and locked my personal keys in the uhaul truck and dropped the keys into night slot. One of the employees who still happened to be there, was kind when I asked if I could get the keys back to truck when I needed them. I'm sure it had been a long day but I appreciate the extra step and courtesy-thx

I had just come from Home a Depot where they were taking 15 min to rent a sprayer. Then they told me “all trucks you want to rent are broke”. I went to U-Haul and they had me out in 5 min. Al be it - I was back in 90 minutes, but the mileage charge really adds up in a hurry. You should also mention the extra fees for environmental and license fees.

Yes it was as quick as possible; however, when doing a quick trailer rental: you have to wait in line, go back outside to get hooked up (test lights), go back inside, wait (again) for the guy that's being helped now, cut in line (awkward, cause there is a line, but you already waited twice), then complete the contract stuff. Ugh, isn't there a better flow?! And the closest door to re-entry at the Tigard location is blocked, thus, one has to walk nearly to the opposite end to get back in! So, it's go in (wait), the walk back out (all the way back, wait for hook up), back in--all the way around again-- (wait, cut in) , finally (all the way back) to get back out. Ugh. The workers were great. Simply put, it's the inefficient flow imposed by management that is both awkward and broken.

This location overcharged and so far is fraudulently accusing me of driving a pick up for roughly 120 miles during a 2 hours window on a Sunday afternoon. Very disappointed by the manager there Larry, he was flat out not willing to believe me. I live 3 miles from that office and I drove that truck for less than 15 miles over 2 hours, yet I am paying for 1 day rental and 120 miles driven. I basically feel cheated, and I am a many times repeat client. Last time ever there, and will contact my bank to decline the charges.

not sure if there is a sign but i went to the storage unit after 9pm there are row of returned trucks in line and not sure if people dropping off more trucks know not block the storage unit access thank goodness the guy that was blocking it was unload stuff into his car

I reserved a uhaul 26 ft truck a week in advance. I was called less than 24 hours before the move to be told the truck was only available in tigard and I would be given 50 dollar credit. I picked up the truck with gas on empty and had to put 40 dollars to bring up to half a tank. I took a picture if needed. After the move the credit was never applied. I had to call back to have my charges reversed and then re applied to include the credit. I live in hillsboro so the credit mostly paid for the extra miles and fuel. I have always used uhual and never had a bad experience like this.

Have more people available on staff. They were always lines of folks waiting to conduct their business. I had an entire stack of medium size boxes to return but my ride with Lyft had arrived and I could not talk to anyone to return my boxes. So you’ll be able to sell those boxes twice and I am out the cost of the boxes

We were charged for gas when we had already filled it beyond what was needed, which caused us to have to return to the store to get that cleared. They said it was the angle the meter was read from. That's not an acceptable answer. It seemed shady to us. We would like to return to this location when needed, but we will be cautious about it.

It was very busy when we got there on a Saturday morning, so it was a bit hectic, but we had used the online process which meant we didn’t have to wait in line. The confirmation took almost 10 minutes, which seemed weird since it was seemingly automated, but, hey, it was easy and no problem. We rented a nine foot van and it was a little awkward having to back it out through a maze of other vehicles and people coming and going. Maybe Uhaul could back the vans in so customers could just drive straight out? Also, doesn’t bother you than the ads say $19.99 on them? I mean, we all know it’s not going to be anywhere near $19.99 regardless of whether you drive around the block or not. It would be cool if Uhaul marketing could be just a teeny bit more authentic. Just for old times sakes... Nonetheless, our experience of renting, using and returning the van was pretty much seamless. About $130 from Portland, OR to Eugene and back. FYI

I had booked ride-share. I gave my Oregon drivers license and us passport card. They still wanted to be able to call a third party. This was unexpected. The person doing verification had very little communication. Luckily I was at a location where counter was open and the person in the counter was able to help me and get me out the door in a jiffy. Otherwise I may have had a very bad experience

My complaint isn't with this location, but instead with the fact that I was sent to this location after my original rental location informed me that they didn't have any of the trailers in the size that I had reserved. I had to drive another 10 miles to this location to pick up a trailer, instead. There was no discount or any other consideration offered for my inconvenience.

in the morning when I pick up the truck I had a very good service, later when I went back to pick up the auto transport I had a very bad service the person in charge wanted me to charge again for the auto trasport I had my received with me, and also to put the auto in he wanted to charge me for doing it. Well He didn't help us at all. HE WANTED SOME MONEY NO MATHER WHAT.

Online i was told my rental was gonna be $45.00 then once i dropped the car dolly off i had a charge of $89.90 picked up at 3:35pm sunday and dropped off at the same rental center it was picked up at first thing when the places opened at 7pm. It would have been nice if someone explained the pricing more clearly.

The customer service staff is horrible. I have been using this branch for years and the employees just don’t seem to care about taking care of the customer. Last month I bought four 5 gallon containers of propane, and the attendant put one on my bumper and scratched it, said he isn’t supposed to put them in the car because they could damage customer cars, and they aren’t responsible for it. I pointed out the damage and he said it’s not his problem. Today a customer service rep comes in sad asked to if I needed help, after waiting 10 minutes for him to come in, I told him I was returning a car dolly, and they guy was taking it off. I was told to go back out and check with the guy who was taking it off, upon going back out the guy said he was done, and had told the other guy already. I went back in and waited another 10-15 minutes for him to help the others who were behind me in line, and he asked me if I could go back out to ask a question of the fellow employee. I promptly told him what the other guy said and I wanted my receipt, it took him another five minutes to figure out how to do so. This is ridiculous, and makes me ask if any training is ever required. I should mention that when I walked up to the counter there was a large chocolate fudge muffin, and a soda sitting on the counter, and all counter help sounded as if they were sick with colds. I am disgusted.

First U-Haul moved the pickup location forcing me to drive twice as far. U-Haul should move the equipment to the agreed location, not force the customer to do their work for them. Second the first dolly had a burned out running light. The U-Haul person told me this was "normal" (1 light on, 1 off). I finally got another U-Haul person to come over, he agreed this was a problem. Third, when we tried another dolly one of the signal lights did not work. Then they tried to blame my tow vehicle, even though it powered the turn signal on the first faulty dolly OK. Then a third U-Haul person came over with a tester, my vehicle tested perfect, it powered all the lights correctly. Only after this would they believe it was their problem. After much fumbling around they finally figured out that there was a faulty wiring adapter. When they replaced this everything worked. Fourth, they did not ask or check if I needed any instruction on how to properly use the dolly and properly secure the vehicle being towed. There are minimal printed directions on a decal that was seriously damaged, so quite useless. As a safety rule the U-Haul personnel should go over proper attachment of the car to the dolly. Fifth, I checked the dolly tires to make sure they were properly inflated. None of the U-Haul people I asked could tell me what the inflation should be.

Not sure what to say because there was no one who really seemed to care if they had my business or not when I dropped my van off. Got a receipt and that was it. Now, there is no place to comment on this, but getting my order was a real pain. I reserved the truck with a one week notice then got a call the day before saying the location changed only to get another call on the day of pick-up to learn that now my truck would be even further south. Terrible to go through all that trouble.

I've reserved from other U-haul area in Hillsboro but they called and changed my pick up location to Tigard and added 50 mile as a bounces to my account for this changing. But when I was in front desk and I changed my drop of to the same place even it was better for U-haul, he deleted my 50 mile bounces because I changed my drop off destination to the same place that I picked up. I've just drove 20 mile extra with my car and truck also payed more gas and lots of inconvenient and negotiation in front desk for something that it wasn't my fault. They just think about own trucks and never think about customers. Furniture pads was so messy and dusty that made to much cough and sneezes for every body who was in the track to help me for loading. I think after period of time using furniture pads through customers, it is better that U-haul schedule to washing them.

I rented a 6x12 utility trailer. I hauled some dirt and mulch. It worked great. The only thing I would change is the location of the tie downs inside the bed. Very frustrating, when sliding a square point shovel along the edge and getting stopped abruptly by he the tie downs. The dirt/mulch get stuck on the tie downs and make clean up much harder than it needs to be. Thank you!

not lie to customers about charges being reversed when in an accident 15 minutes after taking off lot. now this is our 2nd charge for a tow dolly, if we would have known they were going to charge us again we would have continued on that night with the plans, instead i get charged another 58.00, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Had two reservations when I checked in. Truck had 1/4 tank. 40 gallons or 10 gallons. Traveled 31 miles. OK.Used 5 gallons=$25.00 dollars not 30. Never explained $30 to refill. Iwill not pay $121.00 to travel 31 miles. Will never use this location again. Looking for a $35 dollar credit.

I will never use any other company to move EVER AGAIN! I will recommend U-Haul to everyone from now on! They've been more than accommodating with our move. And they have really clean bathrooms too!!

My only negative was that I was charged $40 for keeping the rental truck an hour too long. I wish you had told me that when I turned it in and not just charged my credit card later.

When I arrived the evening of my return I was unable to get to the storage unit without squishing myself between cars due to the fact that the gate was blocked and no one came to open it...

Very convenient experience. Excellent value. I would improve the entry and exit surfaces of the building doors. Wheels on carts hangup and cause things to fall off cart. Need better communication.

The facility is well maintained, and has also seen good improvements in the 8 years that I had a storage room. Security is taken seriously here, which isn’t always the case elsewhere. Staff is nice.

With the exception of dealing with the local police, regarding an alarm in the facility was going off, because I was at my unit in the middle of the night, all of my experiences were positive.

I was very pleased with the facility and staff. The staff went above and beyond to help me out when I was in a jam. The only drawback was limited space for pulling trailers in and out to load.
