When the container was picked up from my house, we were not contacted beforehand and it was picked up early. Therefore the unit was not completely ready to move and was taken to a staging location across the city. I called and was on hold with that location for much too long and never spoke with a representative. The facility didn't have public hours do I was unable to put the last few items in my container or adjust any furniture pads. Additionally it would be helpful to give the physical address of the store the unit is at so when picking up (often in a new, to the customer, place) the address can be easily added to a gps service.Ceara N.

I love using this location, it's clean and the employees are friendly and efficient. The equipment is always clean. My only issue was with the mobile app when trying to return the vehicle after hours. The app would not save the required photos of the mileage and fuel gauges, and I could not complete the return. I left the key in the drop box. I recieved my emailed receipt from the company ehnthey opened the next morning. Effecient! Thank you.Mercer L.

The Sun Lakes location itself was great and the employees gave great customer service. I don't have any issue with the Sun Lakes location. However, when I made the reservation back on Sept 23, I was supposed to receive a call from the Queen Creek location off of Hunt Hwy on Sept 24 around 6PM. We never received a call. If we did, no message was left at all. I then called to confirm that I would have the trailer that I needed at the Queen Creek Hunt Hwy location because we needed it close to home. When I called, I got a completely different location and the lady was rude and kept saying under her breath "this is frustrating" like I was bothering her by calling. She said U-Haul does not have a trailer to pickup at the Queen Creek/Hunt Hwy location and that I would have to travel to another location that was much farther away from my house. I told her I needed to pick up the trailer at the Queen Creek location due to my daughter's birthday plans that same evening. Her attitude was bad and seemed like she didn't care that no one called me to confirm the location a week before. She said there was nothing she could do. I hung up and called the number to the specific Queen Creek location and got another different location in Chandler. I talked with another employee who didn't care that the Queen Creek location didn't have my trailer I needed and didn't care that no one called to confirm a week before. I told her that I had plans already for the evening and that is why I needed to pick up the trailer in Queen Creek at 4PM. She had the gall to say that I shouldn't make plans around picking up the trailer. My plans were for my daughter's birthday that I can't change. That was a ridiculous thing to say and very unprofessional when U-Haul messed up and didn't even call me to arrangement for pickup in Queen Creek. I also told her Sun Lakes was far to drive from where I live and then she proceeded to tell me in a sarcastic tone that "it is only 12 miles". That is far when you already had plans for the evening. My suggestion is that U-Haul actually calls the customer a week before and LEAVES A MESSAGE FOR THE CUSTOMER TO CALL BACK. It is simple and would solve a lot of headache.JOEL H.

I initially made a reservation a couple weeks prior to the rental date. Leading up to the rental date, I was called three different times to change the location of the rental. When I did show up to the reserved time and the most up to date location, the vehicle was not returned from the previous renter. So the associates had to call around and sent me to another location for the pick up. I was promised a $50 return that I should see on my card in the next couple days. After all the confusion and inconvenience, it went smoothly and got the rental truck. It worked out greatBRISCOE W.

Improve on everything, ONE OF THE WORST experience I had all the way from reserving ubox containers online to the customer service (one of the horrible/terrible) uhaul traffic service, I had to literally beg for the timeline on when my uboxes will arrive, they changed delivery time multiple times and we were running out of time for moving. I can write a book to describe my entire process from reserving the ubox to the delivery. I think it is waste of my time and efforts. If there is anything UHaul could do is return my $16+ that you owe me which still shows in my dashboard balance as negative $16+ overcharged me.Srinivas B.

Almost everything about this rental experience was dissatisfying. I received conflicting information several times and no one knew what the other was doing. Then when we arrived to pickup the truck, the UBox was supposed to be attached and was not. That took another 30min. I rented the truck for 4 hours but was told I had to have it back in 2 hours. Those are just my major concerns... Not sure I'd use this location again...not worth the headache/hassles.DAVID V.

U boxes are still in storage. Brought bx1 then by request picked up bx1 delivered bx2. Picked up bx 2 and was not ready. Took box with no lock. Then charged for bx2 not bx1. Got notice bx 1 was going to be impounded(?) Box 2 was then put on auto pay. Its been ok. CALLED to put bx1 on auto pay but system wouldn't take it. Called a different number said it was ok. Now charges $64 + for bx1 and 52+ for bx2. No one can tell me why. People at main number are very nice, people at storage in chandler are not so much.Carol B.
Got charged $20 for returning truck early but after store hours. Tried checking out through mobile, but reservation was not listed online where I could select â€œdrop truck offâ€ . So I just left the truck and dropped the keys in the box. Came in the next morning to speak to someone and In the middle of trying to explain the situation to the manager, she cut me off and said â€œyou are not getting your $20 back.â€ And insisted that I never showed on her computer that I tried checking in. How can I check in if the reservation isn't even showing on my Uhaul account?? Horrible customer service. I asked to speak to corporate and she gave me the wrong number, came back in to get the right number, and argued that the number she gave me was right, it wasn't until another staff member gave me the right number. Left the store and called customer service, explained the situation and was told they could not refund me the $20 because the manager took it upon herself to notate in the account not to refund the charges. I feel like the manager there did more to inconvenience my experience and to prove her self right rather than to offer any kind of help in the matter. This is business and you should be able to provide good customer service but she didn't even try. I will never forget this experience and I hope someone fixes this so that other customers aren't treated the same way.TROVADOR D.

The wheels on the trailer I rented were quite dirty/greasy. It would be really nice if the trailer and wheels were soaped down, scrubbed and rinsed off really good. The tires were nice and like new, I'm glad for that! I will rent a trailer again though.JEFFREY B.
When I called in advance to see if there was a pickup truck available at 25908 Arizona Ave, they said yes, took my name. I told them I would be coming to pick up the truck within the hour. In 30 minutes I was in the store and they said they did not have a reservation for me, but they did offer me a van.HENRIETTA K.
I was pretty in the dark throughout the process as far as when our box would be shipped, where it was, and when it was arriving. Better communication up front would be super helpful. I had to call each location for updates and they were extremely polite, but there was confusion. At one point the store in Texas thought we never received a Ubox (when they had already picked ours up), so definitely some unnerving moments along the way. I really think that U-Haul in general needs to redo their policy for rentals. I paid a set price to go across country and drop off at a location in Tennessee. I was informed that the rental was for 6 days and that if I kept it any longer, I would be subject to a daily fee. The sun lakes location was the only good uhaul experience i've had with this order. Working with the downtown Chandler location has been a nightmare! They never answer their phones, my container was moved without my knowledge and I had to physically go to the store to find my boxes. After locating them I found out that my reservation had been archived while my uboxes were full and it took 3 days to get the issue somewhat resolved so I could book help through movinghelp.com.SHAHNA C.
The young kids that the manager hires are basically there to collect a paycheck and nothing more. They are extremely unhelpful and get around to â€œhelpingâ€ you when they are ready. Rented 10 x 25 foot rv space online for a move in date of 6/19/21. Upon arrival informed they have a 10 x 20 spot. Staff stated nothing they could do to help, take it or leave it. I had just purchased the trailer that day and had expectation it was to be stored in safe location. The spot was advertised as covered however 1/3 trailer was uncovered. I was able to secure a spot in a different storage facility the following day and moved the trailer less then 24 hours after we arrived at uhaul. I spent 120$ for 18-20 hours of storage in a site. The 2 young men on duty were poorly trained, one young man was trying very hard to find a solution but appeared subordinate to the second young man and that young man never looked us in the eye and simply said it's not our problem, the reservation system never works and does not guarantee you what you rented and take it or leave it. I trusted the reservation to have a spot to park my brand new trailer at, I could not just leave it on the street. When I called regarding my reservation at a different U-Haul location and they told me my reservation was no longer valid because my spot was already taken by someone, I went into panic mode because my husband was driving back with the boat at that very moment. The staff at that other location was very cold and couldn't be bothered to try to make things right. I found this spot on a chance the next morning and called as soon as I could and spoke with Alisha Padilla who was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and making my experience with U-Haul much better than the last one. When we got to the U-Haul location, Alisha had already left for the day, but two young men were there who were also just as pleasant and were very helpful.
