Great location. Quick and easy pickup and return process, however, the truck was very dirty inside. Coffee stains everywhere, sticky steering wheel and seats, and human/pet hair stuck to dashboard. The truck was also in very rough shape and drove very poorly (felt unsafe). I like the location and the process was quick, but the equipment was horrible.Peter W.

Great service, would have preferred 24/7 access. Great customer service by front desk staff. The first night I got there to check in and the system was done, I was unable to get the storage unit that night. The following day I worked until 6pm and got there just before close. So the truck that was given to me was a 15 footer - to start off with it only had 1/4 of fuel - the wipers did not clean the windshield as they where falling apart- the front end was loose when turning corners and the alignment was out and steering was off - also both front tires where bald on the edges - for having to drive 150km that AM i am lucky to be alive ! I called the customer service number to rent a truck and told the person what I was picking up (king mattress/box springs) and he said the 8' truck would be good. I went to uhaul to pick up the truck and was told that wouldn't be big enough and was told to get a 15' truck (totally wasn't needed). The CSR who served me was not wearing a mask - his gaiter was around his neck. I was not screened up on entering the location. The CSR swore (shit/fuck) multiple times during our transaction and told me â€œI close the door at 7, if you come back with the truck at 7:02, I won't even look at youâ€. He also took pictures of my boyfriends ID with his personal phone which seemed incredibly inappropriate. I was actually shocked at how unprofessional this guy was. Lucky for Uhaul, you don't really have competition!Michael C.

I was very frustrated and disappointed to find out that the truck ai reserved had a red engine light on. The older lady at the Rymal Road location just send us to another location without even being courteous, no apologies for the trouble. I was about 1.5 hrs behind my schedule after the whole ordeal. The staff at the upper centennial location were very kind and helpful, unfortunately I could finish my move. I had originally booked the truck for two days, due to this inconvenience I could only had the truck for one day; which means I will have to complete my move on the 27th of December!! Truck was absolutely clapped, whole front end would violently shake if doing over 70km/hJacob T.
Even when the representative put a note on my file not to charge the credit card, that I wanted to pay by debit the following day, for some reason the credit card was still charged! So it shows that the company itself can't follow simple instructions when your employee's put notes on the file.. I booked online with a credit card, I shouldn't have been asked to provide the card in store, I was under the impresssion things were paid for when I reserved the booking, however apparently the company will only hold the reservation with the card but not actually bill it which became inconvenient! Should change the policies! And I've rented from the same location a couple times, why I wouldn't be stored in the system as a renter with my licence already provided was inconvenient as well.. but you'll charge me more for gas if I don't bring it back exactly at same level even it's $5 short on gas you'll charges me $50 which is a joke...Brian B.

It took me two hours to get my truck, as there was a system error which showed my reservation is expired and after holding call on call center queue for 2 hours I was able to get my reservation. Call center queue time is pretty long and it disturbed my whole movement plan.Muhammad Ijaz A.

I originally attended the U-Haul at 524 upper Wellington in Hamilton. I received TERRIBLE service while there. I reserved, paid for and sent my personal vehicle away only to find out they didn't have the keys to the truck I had rented and paid for. They offered my no solution to my problem, were unprofessional and rude. I then went to the 130 Upper Centennial location and dealt with Morgan. She was absolutely FANTASTIC! She had me in and out quickly and professionally. When I returned the truck I was met by a young guy who treated me like an old friend. He checked me back in, checked over the truck and I was on my way. I will never go to the Upper Wellington location again, even though it is very close to my house. If someone, store manager etc, from the upper Wellington store would like to discuss this I would be happy to. I don't want to sound like a â€œcomplainerâ€ but I think it's important that a store owner knows what the staff are doing and acting.James P.

I rented a 9' cargo van and requested to pick it up from the Big Bee 1528 Barton St E, Hamilton location for Saturday, October 24 at 9:30 AM. The time and location were confirmed twice by email and by voicemail. I arrived at the pick-up location at the designated time to find there was no van. I called to enquire where the van was and I was told I have to come to the 130 Upper Centennial Pkwy location to pick it up. I had to find an alternate means of transportation to get to the new location which set me behind an hour on the day. Why would u-haul confirm the pick-up location twice and not give me advance notice that the van would not be there afterall? I also notice the interior of the van was still being cleaned when I arrived which was at 10:15am (45 minutes after the 9:30am booking), which implies the van wasn't ready for me even if I had miraculously shown up at the other location at the time of my booking. Not happy with this service at all. I have to move my parents into their new place next month and I will not be using U-haul again.Shawn A.
not much. i have found this location to always treat me very well. even though i checked my wiring at home we had an issue with the trailer lights. michele through some trouble shooting found the fault was with my plug an the vehicle she found a plug in they found a plug in the shop replaced the plug on my vehicle and got me underway in a safe and timely manner. and dropping off the trailer was very quick and easy. the only thing if i could change here is the drainage in the yard so your employees are not working in so much water. it would not be hard to achieve this with a small excavator and a parking lot drain from home depot or tile drain the area with tile drain like that around a house and some gravel. would make it much safer for your employees and customers.Daniel D.

The overall rental experienceÂ was great.The only issue I have is with the large puddle in your back parking lot.Â Two of your employees had to step into the puddleÂ and get wet feet to connectÂ and disconnectÂ the trailer.Â You need to either fix the drainage or supply your staff with rubber boots. The entrance driveway @ Highland Rd needs the pot holes filled. This can cause vehicle tires to bulge & get damaged- can be dangerous ! The back RV lot also needs the low spots filled. There are many large puddles when it rains. Understanding that the premises is up for renovations but the pot holes & low spots are a simple fix to convenience customers. When I first moved my stuff into the storage locker, I went to the office and said it's very dark in there & I can't see anything and that the light bulb is burnt out. They told me I needed to bring my own lightbulb from home as they don't supply them. As I was just staring at the young guy in stunned silence, he added, "My manager says, we supply the electricity, but not the lightbulbs". So, my next trip to bring stuff in, I actually brought a ladder and a lightbulb to change it myself so I could see. Seriously, U-Haul, have a few behind the counter to change them out when they blow....people moving or storing stuff have enough on their plate!!
