The tank was a quarter full. A customer renting one of your vehicles needs to be returned with the same reading. One of the first things I had to do was fuel up the vehicle. Not knowing how much fuel I would need for my journey, I filled the truck. It cost me $76. We made several trips locally with the vehicle before heading out over the road. Of course, we didn't use all that gas we bought and returned the truck with over 3/4 of a tank. Free gas to U-Haul! Truck should always be full and then when customer returns full, they only pay for the fuel they used. Otherwise, it is a rip off to the conscientious driver or those people who are unsure how much fuel to estimate. It's just wrong.Richard D.

I have used Uhaul in the past as well as recommended them to friends, but this is NO longer happen. We reserved (online) a trailer about a month in advance for a one-way rental. We were NEVER informed at any point that there were no trailers available at the location we selected. We received a call less than 24 hours before we were due to pick up the trailer that we now had to travel over 1 1/2 hours away to pick it up. If I had known when I booked the trailer that it was not available I could have made different arrangements with paid movers at both locations. Our hands were tied and had to get a round trip trail which ended up costing us an additional $100. What a bait and switch. Please note I plan to use all various social media outlets to let others know of these tactics.Daniel Y.

I will never return here and I will make sure to let every human being I come in contact with to never go here. Worst service and worse staff. I used a trailer and I was called every single day as to when I was going to bring it back. I was unsure and didnt think it matter because I am paying for it. Once I returned the trailer I was told it was reported stolen because i took to long to bring it back. Which on their end is ridiculous because how and why would I steal something like that when you have all my information.CHAD D.

I was given less than 24 hours notice that my reservation had moved from Shrewsbury to Springfield which is an hour and a half drive EACH WAY. I had to have my pregnant fiancÃ© drive me to Springfield and then drive the hour and a half back by herself. All they could offer me was an extra day and some free miles. I had movers coming at 8 am Sunday so I HAD to get it the extra day and the miles only covered the drive you forced me to do with such short notice. I could not be more upset with my uhaul experience and this isn't the first time, although it is by far the worst time.JOHN T.

As I exited my vehicle i noticed several stainless steel screws in the drop off location. Fortunately nothing punctured my trucks tires while there. Something to be mindful of. Placed a reservation over an hour prior online as well as all info filled out including license etc. As I was finished shortly after I received a call from a very polite young lady and was asked if I could have it back by 11 instead of 6 and I stated that I rented it longer then I needed and just wanted to be safe and said that wouldn't be a problem at all. Promptly upon pick up I was treated extremely rude, my truck and trailer weren't ready for pick up and was told another couple had reserved the trailer months prior and he didn't care and was repeatedly spoken over to the point where I had to raise my voice and ask if I could finish a single sentence. After explaining that I wouldn't have a problem bringing it back for the time asked I was told â€œyeah well i don't know if I want to rent you the equipmentâ€ as it would be his problem to deal with the other couple. I then told the gentleman I wasn't begging for the equipment I rented and would gladly go elsewhere. Once again was rude and just a very unpleasant experience. Frosting on the cake the truck was filthy.Anthony D.

I sent an email regarding safety concerns. There was no lighting under the awning I parked under and I ended up tripping over a ramp that was not visible. I fell to the ground and sustained bruises and scratches. Lighting should be installed for the safety of customers.STEPHANIE H.

I didn't have any trouble with the storage facility part of my contract. My issue is with the truck that I rented out on Saturday to move out my belongings. The truck was dragging to shift from 2-3 &3-4 gear and before I would put my foot on the brakes, the truck would jerk. Then the keys was stuck in the ignition. I believe I should be compensated money wise for the headache I went through with this truck. I don't know how it passed inspection. Since 1073 I have been a customer of u-haul loyaly. AWFUL! Was issued a 210$ credit instead of the refund I was supposed to receive after renting a truck and "free month of storage with truck rental" was apparently bs. Had to pay for my storage unit and was told I was going to be issued a refund and instead a credit that I DONT want to use because I will NEVER be using uhaul again.
