Had problems with driver side door closing. I was driving and it hadn’t shut all the way, felt cold air whilst driving. Also, records of my phone number were wrong, I’ve never used U-Haul, but my brothers information was used with an address on my phone number. At checkout showed receipt for gas but needle didn’t move. I put approx 35.00 of gas in and still got charged. To try to fill it 3/4 of tank is just weird.

Staff was friendly, cooperative and helpful. The 2 drivers who dropped off and picked up the U-Boxes were professional and extremely proficient in operating the equipment. I was always kept informed and updated about status and whereabouts. I had a bad experience with a competitor in the past and this experience was so easy and stress free. Would highly recommend and never use any other company if I can.

The U-Haul facility was nice, unfortunately dealing with the one person Mia and her attitude with poor customer service skills or in her case, None!
I do not appreciate being ignored, or being kept waiting on purpose when she’s done with the person who was there before me! Her non caring or maybe she doesn’t like working for your company, being sarcastic, condescending attitude! Maybe you can send her to a customer service training course with hands on experience, that she is so lacking! Maybe it’s because there is no one to go to but her? So there’s nothing we can do! Now we have to deal with her!! When I first rented my unit there were 2 nice young men with a manager who took care of the office and customers! Was never treated badly!
5-6 years later I have to deal with one young woman who has attitude! Just not right! I will never ever go to your office or send anyone there! Until you can see if someone who had customer service experience replaces Mia! Or she can be put through training to learn that hard skill she doesn’t have! Can’t dispute with the only person there that was the issue and problem! That’s what happens when you give a person all that authority!

The uhaul obtained a ton of water and ruined objects of mine. When taking back the uhaul, the customer service was not kind nor helpful. Very disappointed. Now have to spend thousands of dollars to replace mattresses and other objects.

I don't get my email on my phone. Came home from an event only to find on Monday morning, that there was an email telling me to confirm pickup. Had I not gotten up early, I wouldn't have seen the email in time for the scheduled P/U to have occurred. Getting it taken care of required me to make 2 phone calls to 2 different numbers!

The 20 foot truck I was given had the check engine light ON I was told to ignore it for the entire 650 mile trip, also the brakes on this vehicle could barely stop the truck when filled and with the additional weight of the car trailer and SUV on top of it. Quit a scared experience

I reserved a van online and declined the insurance for $11. When I picked up the van I then again told the man I do NOT want the insurance. I noticed when I got home that they had charged me anyway. I called and explained this and was told it would be credited back to my credit card. I see no credit to my card. I feel that was slipped into the contract and am not happy about it. It’s not the amount of money that is upsetting to me, it’s how this was done that does.

I had a great experience with my storage unit at this location. Everybody I spoke with was always nice and helpful. The facilities were always clean - including the bathroom- and it was easy to access my locker even though it was on the second floor. I felt safe leaving my belongings here.

I really appreciate the security functions at the West Dundee Uhaul storage. At first it is difficult to comprehend, not being able to go directly to me unit. But, after an alarm or two, I learned to swipe in and out of the storage. The down part about my experience is that no one on the property ever answers the phone. My calls were always redirected to the 800 number. And the capabilities at the operator center differ from the local Uhaul - Ugh, the phone calls. Otherwise, a really good experience.

Our Family was in a very difficult position. We were givin 48 hours to move from our 3 year home. Your store in Anchorage, who we were already a customer were very condescending from the first day, judemental and actually locked us out from unloading the UHAUL rented truck, Even after paying and selecting 24hour access. We were told we should learn to plan for these things by the supervisor who was working. Granted it was Sunday, and for me it was a long day. My family was in the car parked next to the truck and the kids were worried about their clothes and things. I rent two units and trust me, I am diligently going to find a reasonable storage company to replace this nightmear we are currently in.

When picking up trailer it was covered in motor oil inside trailer
When looking at 2 other units they were also very dirty inside.
I ended up taking 1 and having to go to a car wash to pressure wash it myself.
Your mop isn't enough.
It made me way behind schedule and my helpers cancel because of it.
Very upsetting
I'd like a call from management since west dundee Illinois location NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!

A dead mouse was removed from my storage unit when I initially got the unit which I understand. When I moved my items in the next day, there was just an awful putrid smell in the unit. I sprayed some air freshener which helped but I hope my items don’t absorb the unpleasant smell. I will say it’s very easy to move items in with the carts and the staff was helpful when I initially rented the unit.

Easy access to the units and smooth move-in.
The only less-than-ideal part of the experience were the split-level stairs to the unit, but I needed the 8' vertical space so I couldn't be at ground level where I was limited to 6' vertical.

1st time using storage facility. Pulled up to overhead door, which automaticly opened. Went to my stoage shed location, and there was a tag fastened to door stating unit was clean and available. NO WHERE ON THE TAG DID IT STATE YOU HAD TO DIS-ARM THE UNIT OR BUILDING ALARM WOULD BE ACTIVATED !!!!! Opened the door to unit to make sure free lock was inside, and alarm was activated. No sign stating where the deactivation pad is located. Frustrating experience for 1st time in facility. Please put a note on the plastic tag attached to empty rental units, stating the Alarm Must Be Deactivated Before Opening Storage Unit Door.

PRIOR TO RENTING THE U-BOX IN CALIFORNIA, THE STAFF AT THE WEST DUNDEE LOCATION WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS ABOUT RENTING AND SHIPPING A U-BOX. iN DOING SO, THEY MADE IT EASIER TO FACILITATE THE MOVING PROCESS IN CALIFORNIA. WHEN THE U-BOX ARRIVED IN WEST DUNDEE THEY WERE HELPFUL IN SETTING ME UP WITH A STORAGE UNIT TO EMPTY THE CONTENTS OF THE U-BOX INTO.
A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO THE STAFF MEMBER WHO BROUGHT THE U-BOX TO THE FRONT OF THE STORAGE UNIT LOCATION. THIS ALLOWED FOR EASIER AND QUICKER REMOVAL OF THE CONTENTS OF THE U-BOX INTO THE STORAGE UNIT. THAT EXTRA EFFORT WAS MUCH APPRECIATED.
