I had originally booked at Uncle Brian's food store, but they did not set up my booking correctly and I was unable to pick up. They sent me to another location that was no longer doing U hauls. So when I called u haul they sent me to the 51 ave location, the staff at uhaul customer service and at 51 Ave are excellent! No complaints with them. Will never try to book a uhaul at a convenience store again.Lisa H.

The man I dealt with told me the gas tank was full It was not. I filled it up anyways. I has previously booked the uhaul on August 25th for the 17th. I dud this online and had a number texted to me by uhaul. There was no record of me Having booked. This man helped me anyways. I had 1/2hours to get it done. I returned it with 5 minutes to spare. I had a truck rented for 12 days, moved a ton of stuff, returned it with the required amount of fuel, returned it and it only overall cost me about $400. How could you find a better deal for a short distance move? I highly recommend U Haul. They allowed me to keep extending my rental period as I needed and all I had to do was keep phoning in and requesting an extension. Very accomadating. Thanks for your help. App doesn't work. Wouldn't allow me to upload a photo of my face. (and yes, I had permissions set properly) It wouldn't even allow me to start trying to do those steps until my exact pickup time of 9:00am. So, while I waited, a bunch of other people got in front of me. When I needed help, the lineup was 15 people deep. 2 staff members working. Trucks blocked in. Total fiasco. After spending 30 minutes trying to get the app to work, and unsuccessfully talking to live chat support, I discovered that I could use my web browser on my phone to login and upload photos from there. Found my truck, and thought I was ready to go. NOPE - have to back inside to get keys from staff members. What a joke - nice automated system you have there. Why even bother??! The ONLY good thing was that one staff member was really kind and apologetic. He bent over backwards to help. I feel bad for the staff there. Management obviously doesn't care about them.Ryan A.

We received a surprise call from U-Haul two days prior to pickup date letting us know that there was no truck available in Grande Prairie. A not-so-friendly voice and demanding tone in a rush manner told me that that if we wanted a truck, we would have to pick it up from Edmonton. She made the "half compensation" for our extra time and fuel costs sound like she was doing us a favor. I wish U-Haul would be a bit more proactive and let people know a bit more in advance that the pickup location has changed. Every one should know, "Reservations are subject to availability". This caused extra stress and costs to our move. Staff at Edmonton location were too busy to attend to our concerns and there was a line up at the location. Not very friendly. Stress was apparent. They were talking among themselves and about leadership/staff change in GP. Not a very positive experience. Truck broke down in midway. I waited on the line for over half an hour to get through and talk to a person. The service from there on was efficient, quick and friendly. Although, we were asked to keep the receipts for meals and hotel for possible reimbursement from U-Haul. We haven't heard back from U-Haul. The move has left no energy to follow that up with U-Haul.Cyrus E.

Great check in service. Returning the trailer took a bit more time as we had to wait for cleaning (and the unit was clean) and some of to fill in a checklist. Unit was big, easy to handle and definitely met our needs.Ron D.
This was the 3rd location sent to on 3 days trying to confirm reservation. FYI , pick up location at Uncle Brians Food Company 3480 93 St Edmonton, AB is a bust. Place looks like it's being renovated , no one answered phone for 2 day, no call back either . Waited for 30 mins after pickup time and still no one showed. Don't go to Uncle Brian's !!!Craig C.

We moved our son out to Alberta at the end of July. The staff at this U-Haul really went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. It was the August long weekend when we moved and the store was absolutely swamped. They all did they're best to make sure everyone was helped in a timely and courteous manner. I did a Google review already so I hope you can find my comments there as well. He didn't allow me to look at the truck at all to make sure it was clean. He told me he would look tomorrow. Now I have no idea how many km I used or how much I would get charged. The storage units are extremely poorly built. There are nails and screws poking out through the wood everywhere. It is an unsafe environment. My father cut himself on a screw when we were unloading. And the access door to the building with the units was blocked by trailers, forcing us to unload our truck a significant distance away.Adam L. | First Impressions

This was the worst uhaul experience ever! I booked a truck and storage 32 days in advance for my move from Winnipeg to Edmonton. 2 days before I'm supposed to pick up my truck I get a call that the location changed. It was 400 meters from where I work and that is the way I wanted it, they moved it 6km away, not a huge deal , until they called me the day before I'm picking up the truck and moved it to Winnipeg beach, 80km away! 160km round trip !! They did discount the truck but to me that did not matter, I had to scramble like crazy to get this done and I'm moving 1300km. Did not need that stress but I got it done. So now when I get to Edmonton where my locker was booked more then a month in advance, they don't have my locker. They gave me a smaller one and said I have to be out in 3 weeks because someone has it booked.. where was mine ? Now this is where it gets really good. Could not fit all my stuff in there , had a $400 bookcase stolen . Found that out when I went to load with my movers . Now my storage is blocked by one of thier trailers, the woman working said I should have phoned first before moving my stuff !! It's my stuff way should I have to give notice? She was rude , running around like she had no idea what she was doing. She cost me an extra hour of move time because they had to walk my stuff an extra 40 feet because she couldn't move the trailer for me . Rudest person I've ever delt with anywhere. She cost me $180 because of her disorganization. Just so rude and ignorant. She doesn't deserve that position, I'd be fired if I did my job the way she did. Walking around hollering at people. Worst experience ever and I've done this move 5 times now. This one I will never forget. Do not ever go to uhaul, South side Edmonton, 51 ave . Be warned now .Steve F. | Overall Experience

The roof leaked The lock hooks didn’t line up ... 10 min to just take lock off not to mention the fight to put it on The web page that has auto charge the credit card on time of billing dosnt work. Recieved hate mail each month The inability to do auto payment when getting storage was frustrating The space was locked to get to the unit. Each time a longgatted process Paying only a few months in advance rhrough the till seemed ridiculous Cash payment was also trouble. Preferred plastic because no cash till. Maybe an offer for checking out early on a paid would be a courtesy This form should have a comment area under each question .... was the faculty clean. Not so much - run down is more like it.
