Clean the windows they were suuuuper dirty and it made it pretty difficult until I cleaned them myself. Otherwise a good experience, even for my first time. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the side mirrors.. don't even know if they do ... So I had to adjust myself. I would definitely rent another uhaul truck again though. Rented for two hours prior to the trailer being rented again, but was still charged for a days rental. So you got two renters to pay for the same trailer for two one day rentals. This is greed in the ultimate way.Dale H.

The truck worked very well for our move. It was the correct size, the pullout ramp works very well even in wet/freezing conditions and the truck was easy to drive. The only negatives were that the outside of the truck was dirty (the box was clean however), the suspension was quite rough and some of the bolts for the holddown bars had come loose.Rodney S.
The trailer was dirty when I picked it up. Can be expected at this time of year. Suggest installing a wash bay at the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I've been at this location at a busy time of year, with very long wait times.Edward M.

Your people are great, equipment has been reliable for me, and reasonably priced. Your mobile Ap is brutally bad. It will not run properly on my newer android hand set, both times I have rented recently it has stalled out during picture upload. This time, I sat in your parking lot for 45 minutes trying to check the truck back in. It was brutal slow to even accept the location and refused to upload the picture of the odometer or move to the the next steps of the process.Brian R.

Worst possible case scenario. Collisiion. I went to hospital. had no idea of arrangements made with the truck. Uhaul worked with me to find truck at an independent tow company's yard. And as I had the optional insurance, they handled the rest. Thank you Uhaul.Temple S.
I went online to rent a pickup and the Beaumont AB location said they had them available. It was much closer to my residence. After booking it, I received a call from a Uhaul Rep who said they didn't have them there and the closest was in Edmonton. Long story short I had to go there to get the vehicle and it added almost 60 kilometres to my total price. I even put in more gas into the truck than what I received. Received no gas rebate or deduction in cost for extra kilometres.Dean K.
We luckily were able to get a truck but our original booking wasn't available. We had to get a truck twice as big when we booked a 10 foot truck so filling it up after driving was much more expensive. We booked the moving truck for 3 days however upon picking it up, we were asked to shorten it to 2 days. We tried to be accommodating so we rushed and were majorly inconvenienced by this. Changing out plans and the plans of other people helping us. We returned the truck early, as requested by the employee. Only to still be charged for 3 days. I am completely unsatisfied with What transpired. And will not use this u haul ever again.Paul L.

Listen.... it's a U-Haul rental, when things go as they should, no big deal....I'm not one to run off and leave 5 star reviews just because you did your job, we all do that everyday and don't get 5 star reviews. When things go a little bad, I also don't run off to tell the world as we all have our â€œoffâ€ days it's when things swing from one end of the spectrum to the other is when I'll typically leave a review. I found a truck I wanted to buy but it was a long drive to go get it, dig it out of a snow bank, load it on a trailer and make my way home, definitely going to eat up a a day so I booked a car hauler for first thing Saturday morning well in advance. The day before I was to pick up the trailer I got the confirmation call and my trailer would be â€œlateâ€ for pick up, this was going to be a HUGE issue for me, the employee heard my concerns and negotiated with the renter who had the trailer before me to see if he could drop it off earlier. Long story short, the guy went out of his way to help me out, that doesn't happen much these days in our â€œtake it or leave itâ€ world, so yes....you made my day easier, made my day shorter, I appreciate it and yes....for that you get a 5 star review. I honestly couldn't be happier. Trailer was in top notch shape, quickly in and out, while this location isn't the closest to my house it is the one I'll be using going forward exclusively.Ronald H.
I was sent a email confirmation 2 days prior to my schedule pick up date, to pickup the moving truck at one location. The night before the pick up date I was emailed at 847 pm to pick up the truck at a different location. I did not notice the second email and it cost us lost time and added stress to our moving a date. Also the final pick up location was across town from the requested pickup location and I ended up having to pay extra km. Also the truck had a flat tire indicator light when we picked up at the u hual location.Jason M.

My wife and I rented a 10' U-Haul to switch apartments. We hired a company through the U-Haul Moving Help service called Easy Mover (www.movinghelp.com).They did an excellent job in helping us, and even provided extra muscle in getting our U-Haul unstuck from a snow patch. I would definitely hire them again in the future if we require moving help again.Barry M.
I rented a trailer and it was dirty when I got it, and I was worried about being charged for it cause they were extremely fast going through the rental process but I'm extremely great full for their check out app that let me see and take pictures of the trailer. I dropped the trailer off after hours and everything was fun, no worries. I got text saying my deposit is ready to be returned by text message the next day.Jordan C.
Worst customer service from call centre staff and they pushed my reservation 3 times by themselves and didn't even tell me the third time they move it.I should not even give you 0.5 but your Sales associate " Aws" saved my day and his actions and behaviour restored my faith in humanity. Hats off to his customer service but besides him everything is crappy with U-haul and specially the lady I spoke to from customer service as she was consistently telling me to go to U-haul's competitors rather than keeping your customers happy you are sending them to your competition, Wow!!!!! I am not impressed. U-haul said they have applied a $50 credit to my Visa card but its been a week we had that conversation but I don't see any credit. My only request is stick to your words and hire people like "Aws" who actually care about people. Will never recommend U-haul.Inderjit S.

Summer tires in Alberta Winter isn't a safe option. The ramp was covered in ice & the floor on the inside of the van was covered in ice. This made for a very unsafe & precarious loading & unloading experience. When I brought this up with the staff I got no response.Mark C.

When we picked up the vehicle, the counter attendant didn't do a walk through or walk around of the vehicle with me. As we went to load some items into the back cargo area, we noticed a lock on the door. Going back into the store to ask about a key, the staff exclaimed "that's what's wrong with that truck!". A staff member grabbed a pair of bolt cutters, and my brother cut the lock off. The back cargo area was dirty, the staff member swept it out for us. Upon getting into the cab and driving away I got a text message to check in with the vehicle. After I filed it the check list, we noticed how dirty the inside of the truck was, stains on the dash, steering wheel was sticky, cup holders were very sticky. Windshield had been horribly wiped on the driver side and was streaky. We returned it in the same condition. I'm not cleaning up another person's mess. I will fight the charges if the location tries to charge me a cleaning fee. Basically the staff seem like they don't care, proper cleaning protocols are not in place, especially given the times we are in, it's unacceptable.Jason G.

If you confirm an online reservation, make sure you can deliver. Calling me a couple of days later, after I've already made all the arrangements to move on schedule, telling me you can't give me the truck for the requested number of hours and from the requested location, is poor serviceYotam B.
Our initial reservation was for 9am. We called in to make sure our truck was ready to go and were on hold until 9:30. Then we were told we were 30 minutes late but our truck was good to go so they would change the reservation to 10am. When we checked in, We were told to go outside and the CSR would have the keys and would take us to the truck. We stood in the middle of the parking lot and no one came. We finally asked one of the CSRs if he knew where our truck was, and he said the other guy had the keys. We started walking around the lot ourselves to find our truck only to realize one of the CSRs had put someone in our truck without even looking at the model number or the contract. The other customer almost drove off the lot. This is all after the other customer not returning our truck until 10:30am so our reservation was delayed by 2 hours.manpreet A.

They change my reservation at the last minute then dont have the equipment I rented. I made a uhaul reservation a month ago and they think it's ok to just change dates and times. Its complete bullshit. The service is crap too. It took me over an hour to just return the truck. I dont know about any of you but when I'm moving I dont have an hour to sit in a line. I tried to return the truck twice online and it didnt work ,so I had to get back in line and start the wait all over. Overall a shitty experience not to mention I was told if the truck is late being returned I'll be charged 50 bucks because someone else reserved it. The truck was still there well after I returned it . The guys there also told other people that there's no penalty for returning the truck late. 51st Ave location was short workers,the vehicle wasn't clean when I got it,a worker cleaned it before I left and there was what looked like confusion where the keys was before bring able to look at the truck in the beginning.Being the end of the month they were short staffed so that's the only negative. Recieved hate mail each month The inability to do auto payment when getting storage was frustrating The space was locked to get to the unit. Each time a longgatted process Paying only a few months in advance rhrough the till seemed ridiculous Cash payment was also trouble. Preferred plastic because no cash till.
