The return process is a little to detailed for the customer if returning after hours. The last thing I want to do after a hard day is to take time to take pictures, download them and describe the truck in detail. I think that is what we pay you for when we rent. Agent was rude. Did not explain that my rental return would be after hours nor the steps required- thus causing two trips to the store. Also, double charged me for 2 dollies when she was well aware that they didn't have an appliance dolly for me to rent. I had to move a house with a small utility dolly. Insisted that I had to take a 26' as opposed to the 15' I had reserved. When the reservation was made, I told them I would be later than 1045 picking up as I was far away at the time as was told it wouldn't be a problem. There were several smaller trucks when I picked up at 1130am and were still in the same place when I returned at 520pm the same day. I have rented from uhaul for many years, several from the Byhalia (38017) location, have 2 storage units there as well and have ALWAYS had great service regardless of a power outage, covid, insanely busy or any other circumstances. The 38672 location was well below my expectations based on my history with this company.MELISSA B.

I was not aware that the pick up location had changed. I arrived at Hamilton Storage in Southaven at 0900 to pick up the van and it was then that I learned that they did not have the equipment and that it had been changed to the U Haul depot in Southaven. Customer service was terrible. The lady at the desk didn't explain to me why I was charged more than she quoted. She looked at me and rolled her eyes after I said I was charged $41 instead of $36; all she had to do was show/tell me the part where it says I would've been precharged an extra fee. They didn't have the vehicle I initially reserved either so I had to drive this big truck around instead of the van. I asked about changing to a one way and she cut me off mid sentence snappy saying I can't do that and they don't have any one ways available â€œANYWAYâ€. I won't go back simply because of lack of organization and poor customer service from the young woman working at 5:30 pm on 12/9!NYKEISHA D.

Young woman (no name tag) who helped me was polite. Check-out was fine. The van was clean and full of gas but the tire pressure monitoring system was on. All tires looked low but not dangerously low. I've been to this location before and earlier employees seemed to have better customer service skills. Smiles, with sincere greetings. Small things but things you remember. No one greeted me as I came in the door when I dropped off the truck. The drop-off girl acted like it was a bother, she was laying back in the chair, and acted like it was a problem to print a receipt for me. She said it was sent in an email. The manager here is off the chain rude. We have rented here several times and spent a ton of money here and have used them to make several large moves. The manager has put rude comments in the comment section which causes UHAUL people to call us and harass us during the move. Today I received such a call..we will not be renting from UHAUL ever again die to the BS that is in the comment section..you guys just lost a ton of rental moneyJosh H.

Given my experience, I cannot recommend U-haul. Pepperchase location was able to partially accommodate a reservation that was cancelled by Bullfrog Mart Stop at 6861 US 51N, Horn Lake, MS as truck was not available when I came to pick up at 9am. Pepperchase location was able to get me a truck for partial day (until 6pm - only 8 hours use but at the same rate as the 24-hour rental) leaving me to have to use multiple trips on a smaller personal trailer later that evening and the following day, making the move very inconvenient. In looking back through the text messages it did have one that if you scrolled to the bottom, it did have a new pickup address ( over 20 miles on the other side of town), but nowhere in the heading or message body did it state that location had been cancelled and changed.Richard G.

Seemed like the workers didn't know how to properly run their computers except for one guy who seemed to be trying to do it all. I needed a refund since I was double charged and the girl working couldn't figure it out. Nothing was explained to my husband or I upon picking up our Uhaul so we were charged 3x the amount we were expecting to. I bought a mirror box and was only given one piece of it. Very poor experience. Probably won't be back to this location again. Wasted money.Elliot B.

I waited in your olive branch location for 2+ hours to pick up my rental truck. The car was in the parking lot, but no one was in the building. After *finally* getting a hold of a representative that didn't hang up, or tell us they'd call back (1 hour passed no call), we were able to move the pickup location to southaven. The store was fine, but when we switched stores, the women on the phone assured me that we could get the hourly rental. Southaven doesn't do hourly rentals. The dolly i ordered wasn't available either. And the extra drive to southaven added 40 minutes to our drive time (couldn't change the drop off location either.) Long story short, a total of 4 hours total was wasted trying to get a simple truck, and I paid double what I had expected to. I've never been one to complain, but the whole day was kind of horrible dealing with all of this.CATHERINE M.

The drop off locations was incorrect and had to be updated. As the employees continued to chat, i was on hold waiting on customer service. There is a detach in the customer service realm, as all responsibilities to solve problems rest with the customer calling the customer service number, as you are standing in the U-haul store. I was on hold for over 20 minutes, apparently the store locations do not have authority to make changes, even if there is an obvious mistake.Jeffery C.

Thursday I walked in, asked for a tow dolly or car hauler, there were 5 dollys and 6 car haulers there, and without even going to her desk she said do I have a reservation and I said no, she said they were all reserved online and there was nothing in our area until at least Sunday. And hour later I went online, requested that location, rented a tow dolly and went and got it. I am a car dealer and by her not even looking and basically lying to me it cost me 2 1/2 hours I didn't have to spare. Terrible service at the Southaven, Ms Peoperchase Location and not even the decency to try. Slow, they act like you have all day, she told the guy what I was getting as I was checking out and I still had to wait out there 15 minutes for him. Step up the customer serviceTRACY W.
