Given my experience, I cannot recommend U-haul. Pepperchase location was able to partially accommodate a reservation that was cancelled by Bullfrog Mart Stop at 6861 US 51N, Horn Lake, MS as truck was not available when I came to pick up at 9am. Pepperchase location was able to get me a truck for partial day (until 6pm - only 8 hours use but at the same rate as the 24-hour rental) leaving me to have to use multiple trips on a smaller personal trailer later that evening and the following day, making the move very inconvenient. In looking back through the text messages it did have one that if you scrolled to the bottom, it did have a new pickup address ( over 20 miles on the other side of town), but nowhere in the heading or message body did it state that location had been cancelled and changed.Richard G.

Seemed like the workers didn't know how to properly run their computers except for one guy who seemed to be trying to do it all. I needed a refund since I was double charged and the girl working couldn't figure it out. Nothing was explained to my husband or I upon picking up our Uhaul so we were charged 3x the amount we were expecting to. I bought a mirror box and was only given one piece of it. Very poor experience. Probably won't be back to this location again. Wasted money.Elliot B.

I waited in your olive branch location for 2+ hours to pick up my rental truck. The car was in the parking lot, but no one was in the building. After *finally* getting a hold of a representative that didn't hang up, or tell us they'd call back (1 hour passed no call), we were able to move the pickup location to southaven. The store was fine, but when we switched stores, the women on the phone assured me that we could get the hourly rental. Southaven doesn't do hourly rentals. The dolly i ordered wasn't available either. And the extra drive to southaven added 40 minutes to our drive time (couldn't change the drop off location either.) Long story short, a total of 4 hours total was wasted trying to get a simple truck, and I paid double what I had expected to. I've never been one to complain, but the whole day was kind of horrible dealing with all of this.CATHERINE M.

The drop off locations was incorrect and had to be updated. As the employees continued to chat, i was on hold waiting on customer service. There is a detach in the customer service realm, as all responsibilities to solve problems rest with the customer calling the customer service number, as you are standing in the U-haul store. I was on hold for over 20 minutes, apparently the store locations do not have authority to make changes, even if there is an obvious mistake.Jeffery C.

Thursday I walked in, asked for a tow dolly or car hauler, there were 5 dollys and 6 car haulers there, and without even going to her desk she said do I have a reservation and I said no, she said they were all reserved online and there was nothing in our area until at least Sunday. And hour later I went online, requested that location, rented a tow dolly and went and got it. I am a car dealer and by her not even looking and basically lying to me it cost me 2 1/2 hours I didn't have to spare. Terrible service at the Southaven, Ms Peoperchase Location and not even the decency to try. Slow, they act like you have all day, she told the guy what I was getting as I was checking out and I still had to wait out there 15 minutes for him. Step up the customer serviceTRACY W.

Everything went very well. The U-Box was dropped off at my parents' very rural home on time. I know a couple of offices worked together to get the box to that location because it was so out in the country. It was delivered on time to my home five states away. I find the key card system a bit confusing to use! Another fellow, before I got there was having a tough time. He got in, but the alarm system kept going off. My storage apparently was apart of a fire and water damage that we (the customers) didn't find out about until the day after it happened at almost 10pm via an automatic text. I lost so much of my stuff due to the fire and water damage. Furniture, tv, purses, clothes, my degrees and so much more. Most greatly I lost things that were irreplaceable, like all of the memories and valuables my siblings and I had stored away of our late father, I mourned for days I felt like I was reliving that day I got the news all over again; I was crushed! And all these people could compensate for myself and so many others was 1000 measly dollars. A storage is suppose to be a safe place we're people store their valuables, important documents, and life long treasures not a place where you leave your things only to come back to things being destroyed, damaged or tampered with. I'm still trying to rebuild after that traumatic incident. I pray to God that I'm never in a situation where I'd need these people again because they are cruel, heartless, and highly unprofessional!Angel M. | Overall Experience

Fire and Flood of 8/8/2021. Moved me out of 1286 to 1116. File claim with RepWest and Rick call and denied claim. Rick was to send letter denying claim and I never received. The Senior staff at this location are great! However the weekend staff were rude, had a pass the buck attitude to questions, and could not provide any answers. The truck had the wrong ramp with it, the AC did not work, and it's overall mechanical condition was very poor. In fact, one of the Supervisors stated "I don't need this kind of crap" after I turned and started to depart the building. I have rented U-Haul trucks for over 50 years and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had from this company.Steven T.

I was not aware of the after hours process, I didn't have any instructions on where to leave the key, to take pictures before I locked the vehicle. I was clueless with this process!Chundra T.
It was required that I keep the truck longer than expected. I received several calls from uhaul and the caller was very rude and even hung up on me when I informed them I needed to keep the truck.Richard M.
I never received a call about my reservation like U-Haul said I would, so I had to call in to customer service and sit on the phone for 30 minutes just to be transferred to someone who told me they had changed my pick up location to 15 miles in the wrong direction, and that they were giving me a different sized trailer than I ordered. The woman on the phone made it clear that this was my only option, and we had already made moving plans around this reservation, so I reluctantly said OK. She promised me the location would have a trailer and a furniture dolly (that I paid for up front). I got to the Southaven location the next day for pick up and the man working there said: "we don't have a furniture dolly for you." I explained that we really needed the furniture dolly and were depending on it, that I had already paid for it, and that someone from U-Haul corporate had promised me the equipment was going to be ready for me. He was extremely rude and said: "she can't guarantee you anything she can't see our inventory list." Regarding the payment, he said "no you didn't already pay for it, you pay when you check in." I explained to him that U-Haul.com gave me the option to pay up front to save time at the pick up, and I chose that option. He responded: "they will have to refund you then." So, in short, U-Haul changed my pick up location, changed my trailer size, and did not provide me with a furniture dolly that I already paid for. On top of that, the customer service was AWFUL. Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen in my 29 years on this planet. The attitude was "you're just lucky we're giving you this." I will never use U-Haul again. Ever. You all don't deserve to be in business treating people like garbage and not even delivering the services you advertise. I will be submitting a complaint on the Better Business Bureau about this.Luke K.
