Not only did I have a ton of billing issues, when their lock seized I had to figure it out myself but don't dare damage their door... then I get my lock off and empty my unit dropped 3 boxes in their already messy garbage area and I get charged 50.00. I get the bill it says it is for storage not trash removal so pretty sure employees pocketed that money... overall terrible experience. Especially when you pay a arm and a leg for storage.

While the Walker location staff did an excellent job, I doubt I will ever use UHaul again. After 15 years of renting, I learned a big lesson. I booked 6 wks ago for a covered trailer and had a firm reservation. When I went to p/up the trailer I was told they didn't have one. I was sent to another location on Tecumseh E for a promised trailer, they told me they had none, I was sent to Walker and was told that they could only give me a huge trailer which at my age I could not safely pull. I had two confirmations that my original reservation was firm and that I could get the trailer size I wanted, and ended up with a open trailer to drive to Guelph in pouring rain. The attitude of staff at both Dougal and Tecumseh E was sorry about your luck. They even suggested that I had just made the reservation that morning. Again, after 15 years of renting here, I will think twice before I ever rent here again. In speaking with others I was told it happens all the time and that staff just blow you off. A lesson learned for sure!

I didn’t move in, as the rope for the door was so worn away I couldn’t reach it to close the door, so I requested a fix and to be advised - I’ve yet to be advised that the door is fixed and the unit can be closed/locked, ready to move in. Douglas Kennedy

The manager was rude from the first minute that I walked in the door, speaking over top of the associate that I was dealing with and giving short answers. The truck was filthy (windows, steering wheel, console). I had to wipe everything down. I was then double charged for the rental because I returned 10 minutes before closing time. When I was asked how long I would need the truck for, I responded that I would be back before closing time. I originally thought the location closed at 6 pm, when I asked the sales associate what time the location was open until, she told me 8 pm. I told her 'that would work'. When I returned I was told that some one had tried to rent the truck in the last hour of business and that I caused them to miss out on a rental opportunity. Not happy at all with this experience. I have dealt with U Haul for many years on many occasions without any complaints. I will not be returning to this 5025 walker road location.

Staff are rather rude. That alone is enough to make me choose a different storage location. Abrasive at each visit and and phone interaction. Staff ALWAYS hanging on the golf cart and watching you instead of being available inside. The new hires are great but the girl (I believe manager) that's always been there is the worst. Over all unfriendly environment.

Our bill was more than $50 over what we settled on, which honestly, that's fine even if we don't understand why the extra charges, but when we received a call the next day to tell us we owed money, the woman who left the message, threatened us with putting it though to a collections agency! I have the message saved if you'd like to hear it. Unreal and truly not acceptable or professional.

Pretty disappointed to discover there were hornets inside the cabin coming from either somewhere in the dashboard, or behind the seats. I discovered them driving down the 401 from Windsor to the GTA and had to kill 3 of them while driving, luckily I wasn't stung. Had this been a person with a bee allergy, it could have had grave consequences for themselves and other drivers on the highway. I don't necessarily blame the staff at the location because I understand these trucks move around everywhere and I could not see a nest near the seats or under the dash after a quick check at a rest stop, but this truck was a hazard plain and simple because of what was obviously a hornets nest somewhere in the vehicle.

This storage facility was really good at first, but then I could not get into the building where the storage locker was. My code was cancelled and despite many new cards, I had to call someone and wait for them to unlock the building. This went on for weeks until I was done and it was still not fixed. Other than that everything was great.

Christine was very unprofessional and does not know how to talk to customers. Very disrespectful and arrogant behavior. All I wanted from her was, to ask the manager to call me back... And I wanted explain my situation- Christine was not ready to listen... she said if i don't like the service I go to another storage center after I paid for the service.. Still waiting for a call from the general manager. The unit was disgustingly dirty. My mattress was ruined as it had mold. The mattress and box spring were both wrapped in plastic and sealed to prevent this from happening. Furniture was ruined because of the layers of grime and dust. Not very happy

I have moved more times than I would like, majority of the times, I've used uhaul. I have had some horrible experiences in the past😢 but I'd have to say this experience, was by far the best! I will never use another location again, as this one has far exceeded my expectations. The staff here was ABSOLUTELY, the best I've ever dealt with😉 and I am so thankful they were so good to me. It was a great change from what I have dealt with in the past! They are amazing, and deserve the highest praise!

Staff are courteous however I was very disappointed with hygiene practices on site. None of the staff, including manager, wore PPE. This situation is not unique to the South Walker Rd location - I have been extremely disappointed with the Dougall Rd location. Yesterday, only one staff person at Dougall wore a mask - a young male. Neither Sammy or his young female staff wore masks for which I was very vocal about. I praised the young male for doing his part but the rest of the staff's negligence is inexcusable and potentially very dangerous. Today I returned to the Dougall location to find all without masks and told Sammy that I would report his location if he failed again. The Pandemic is not a joke. The Windsor/Essex County area has the highest per capita Covid infectious rate in the province of Ontario. A plexiglass barrier does not replace a mask especially in a city that mandates all to wear a mask. As an excuse, the young female defended her actions stating "I always wear a mask..." for which I stopped her from finishing because her current work hygiene exempts her from wearing A mask. I reminded Sammy that his door has a sign stating that all who enter must wear a mask - how does this not apply to them?

when given access code for access gate to return vehicle, we had an issue with getting the gate open. Luckily we left our personal vehicle in front of the store and not behind the access gate. Parked truck in from of store. Should have tested the access code/procedure before leaving....

The vehicle was relatively clean, floor mats could have been washed but they get dirty right away so it was not an issue. Previous renter has spilled some paint on the bed of the truck - which could have been cleaned if done on time. It may have dried already before it was rented to me. It was hard to see it unless one was to lower the tail gate and inspect the hinges.

Rented a pickup at 9:45 am planing to use it until around 5:00 pm. Got a call at 11:30 (yes after only 2 hr 45 min) asking if I could return it sooner. Rushed to finish what I was doing at the time and returned truck at 1:12 pm. Was not done all I wanted the truck for and had to finish using my car. I asked if there was any way to get a cut rate since I returned it sooner than I needed it for. Mitch told me that was not possible and for me to keep it later would inconvenience someone else. I feel I was inconvenienced but I guess that doesn't matter. I sure hope this is not the policy at U-Haul.

Everything was excellent except the rodent (mice) droppings that were regularly present in my locker and on my floor. I had never had food in the locker. They were significant when I did my final move out - removing shelving.

The storage aspect was great. Interaction with the staff was almost never pleasant, door was often locked, phone calls took multiple attempts to get through etc I'm happy to no longer be using this facility

the unit was somewhat clean but could have been swept out better or even power washed , I found it quite dusty on the floor. I will sweep it out myself before I move items inside.
