I tried using the online return and another gentleman was there as well trying to return his truck with the website being down. I was charged $20 for not using the online return and when I called to explain on multiple occasions was on hold for more than 20 minutes. I had to hang up because it was time consuming. When I went back and explained to a representative there he didn't even acknowledge.Anthony H.
The truck was horrible. It was all over the road on an empty load. It had over 142,000 miles and should have been sent to a scrap yard along time ago. The doors didn't shut all the way and I was afraid to drive it.Anthony H.

They diagnosed the teuxk and said the problem with the light is with the truck not trailer or harnessed, they told me that a truxk like that should have never left texas abd should not be on the roadORI S.
I had completed my check-in online. When I arrived, I still had to stand in line and wait for 40 minutes. When I made it to the counter, I had a rather inexperienced person to assist and she had to re-do (apparently) the whole agreement. I do not understand or see the value of checking in online it the process becomes twice as hard at the counter.Richard R.

The woman who helped me upon my return was not welcoming at all and was rude about my knowledge of the contract stipulations. Last location didn't give any direction about equipment return and this location charged me an extra day because of it.Ashley G.
Everyone was helpful and the store was well supplied. The only negative for this location is the lack of parking for picking up supplies, etc. which is why 4 starts instead of 5. Would definitely rent from here again though. Everything they could control they did.Gregory R.

The mobile pick up option - which I chose - first told me I was at the wrong location - I wasn't. So I had to scan the barcode by the door. Then it got stuck in some approval loop and wouldn't advance. I had to go to the counter where the owner had me clear out of the mobile option so he could get my rental all squared away. He was great! But the mobile option not so much - plus it's cumbersome with all the photos, etc. Again, everyone at the location, and the pick up/drop off process where people were involved were great.Diane S.

Lady checking in the Uhaul was very rude. She ignored us when we first got there. Comes outside and is upset when we couldn't find the contract sheet. She said now she had to go inside the building two steps away and look our truck up. The guy inside told her to just check the truck in, to which she told us she said â€œwhat if they went to the wrong locationâ€ (we didn't) and he told her not to charge us because we had an email saying this was the drop off location. She then proceeded to tell us that if it was up to her she would 100% charge us even though we didn't go to the wrong location. She seems like she hated her job and was taking it out on the customers.TAYLOR G.

The only thing the stinks is the Truck had between 1/8 and 1/4 tank of gas. So, immediately I had to go to the gas station. An improvement is having trucks that have at least 1/2 tank of gas, preferably a full tank of gas.abbie F.

Stop LYING to and trying to intimidate people. The auto transport wasn't due back until 10 a.m. on 9/16, and the truck wasn't due back until 9 a.m. on 9/16. Transport delivered back at around 4:30 p.m. on 9/14 and the clerk told my driver it was late! Tried to scam him for a tip, saying he'd make sure no late charges! Unbelievable! Truck returned around same time on 9/15. Both were EARLY. Clerk this time, female, was nice to driver. Can not recommend U-Haul in Sarasota. Shame on you!!Juliann B.

Inside of the windshield was smeared with something that was spilled inside the truck from prior person. Van exterior had not been washed recently and the change oil indicator light was lit although there were only 9,000 miles on this van. I don't think these vehicles get too much attention like regular cleaning and maintenance.Mark B.

Drop off was after hours. The tow trailer got a flat tire and UHaul help/roadside assistance came to the rescue quickly. From start to finish, we were very impressed with how helpful, flexible and professional all of the UHaul employees were during our cross country move, Thank you to UHaul for helping to make things go smooth under extremely challenging circumstances!Christi A.

The nasty old man told me on Wednesday, 9/9/21 that if my son drove his car off the trailer the charge would be 20.00. This morning when I dropped the truck off at 6:30am, he told me to check in or it was 20.00. I didn't know how to check in so I went to drop the key in the drop box and he snapped that they were closed and there was no one inside. I told him I was putting the key in the drop box (Clue that I did not know how to check in). He said Leave it in the truck and it will be 20.00. Then he opened the back of the truck and said if I didn;t fold the truck blankets it would be 1.00 per blanket. I said I didn't care. His attitude was a huge turn off to my asking what I was supposed to do. Everything he said had money involved. No good morning, how are you? Do you have any questions about dropping off? Truck was dropped off after hours to U-Haul Moving & Storage of South Sarasota located at 4861 S Tamiami Trl Sarasota, FL 34231 . Lighting was minimal on the side of the property. A representative should have called or sent an email immediately after the truck was checked in. There was prior damage to the skirt of the truck when I picked up the truck in Atlanta on August 12, 2021. I even dropped off the truck a day early. Now, they want to charge me $296.93. The representative at the 355 University Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 location did not do a walk through with me nor did he give me the sheet of paper to notate visible damages on the truck. From the emissions building, I could see the skirt damage on the truck. The representative said yes, it is already in your contract. You can review it online. Of course, in the rush I was in I did not take pictures nor videos because I took his word as good faith. I even purchased insurance through them just in case. But you should still CYA!!! Renter beware!!! I spoke with John today at the Sarasota location and he is removing the charges and he stated it could take up to a week for it to be reflected and to always take pictures next time.Oil M.
I was on hold for 56 min and no one picked up the phone! Not good! Wanted to confirm my drop off of the vehicle since it was pouring rain upon return and wanted to make sure everything was ok. All customers should be told if you are dropping off after hours, do not drop the keys in the box until you finalize the drop off!! You need to take pictures which was not explained. The login on the drop box does not work. Use the link sent to you via your phone upon drop off.Kathleen G.
