Taylor met me after I parked truck in the return lane. He took care of everything and asked how would I like my receipt. Didn't have to use the Terrible Uhaul app to return truck. It took one hour using the app to gain access to the truck at rental. Not good! Having a live person is real customer service! Thanks Taylor!
tony B.A light fell off my trailer while I was in transit and YOU are trying to charge me for YOUR equipment malfunctioning. How is it my fault that your equipment broke just from driving down the street? There was zero damage to that fender other than the missing light; I didn't back into anything. It fell off during transit probably because that awful trailer bounced like crazy over roads that I know aren't bumpy. Your poorly maintained equipment is not my responsibility, and I will not be charged extra for them. The staff however were very nice.
Hayden B.I was unable to get in my unit successfully due to the rust on the storage unit. That took away from the time I could have been using moving. Having to leave and go get tools and rust spray. For that reason, the truck was brought back an hour after it was scheduled for drop off. I was charged a late fee. I don't think that was fair at all

lashonda P.I had made reservations ahead of time over the phone. I used my Bank card for the purchase. When I arrived at 9:30 am to pick up the U Haul truck the computer system were down. It took a while to get my issue resolved and I had to use my card again. When I turned the truck back in the guy couldn't give me a receipt he said it would come to my email. I have not seen any receipt for the purchase in my email. My only concern is not to be billed twice.

The mechanic left the wiring harness inside the vehicle truck so you have to slam your trunk on the wiring harness when you use it. Now I have to pay someone to actually do it correctly. Horrible customer service.

Angela C.Truck did not come with dolly. Was told another location had some they didn't have any. Was forced to buy one and was not returnable. Truck was not checked by associate before giving me the keys. There was a lock on truck that wasn't there's. They had to cut it off. I'm glad I checked before leaving to go to Raleigh. I was never told by associate that dropping off the truck and key was a 20$ fee. My drop off time was 9pm. I returned truck and put key in Dropbox as associate stated before 9pm. I was charged extra stating that I returned truck and key the next morning at 9:25 am which is completely false. Terrible experience would never use this location again.

Chris O.The inside of the truck was filthy. Gatorade bottle full of something, broken glass, a tampon applicator and plenty of dirt. I couldn't address this at pick up because it was 5:30 am. I did tell them when I dropped it off.

GARY S.U-Haul was filthy outside and inside. So many dead bugs splattered on the windshield, that I had to immediately clean at the adjacent gas station before I could even drive out of the parking lot. Inside can had visible dirt all over the floor and dashboard, and trash papers on the cab floor. Inside the back of the truck was the worst I've ever seen from a rental company. I had to get my leaf blower out and blow all of the dirt, hair, dust bunnies, and pine straw out before I could load. There were plastic chair leg bottoms thrown in the back, a clothes zipper and zipper pull, and a few small twigs. The U-Haul check engine light came on within a mile of pickup and was shown no concern when immediately reported the pickup store. Had to have roadside assistance come out to my house and diagnose the engine light warnings and was told “it's probably good enough to driveâ€. I waited hours from the time I reported the problem, until the vehicle was cleared to be safe enough to drive. This caused a delay in my loading of the truck, and thus cost me $300 on a moving crew that was unable to load for fear the vehicle would be towed. Horrific experience. What a nightmare!
Ryan J.I think the staff is rude. I've worked in many capacities in my life from the bottom to the top. I was texted 'I'm going to let my baby brother handle the move' $100 per hour for two polite but inexperienced boys. Freshman and junior in high school. The front desk person said that I was rude to the young boys….nice but slow, inexperienced and overpriced. The front desk man said that I couldn't find cheaper movers, wrong. This morning two young men helped me working hard for less per hour. How dare he say I was wrong after just experiencing this morning!! Then the two polite but two polite but young boys walked off without obtaining the paid code. The young female (pretty sure another family member) finally returned. She said she thought the boys had obtained what was needed because one had done several times. I could have left without giving the code however did. Because I did not have many items they finished around an hour, paid for minimum of two hours. As I checked out I was told a different price than originally quoted. The big difference was how it was calculated, very differently. So, no I would not recommend this mover which is obviously very involved with U-Haul or this particular U-Haul. I've used Uhaul before and considered professional. I'm a professional but have been going through some medical issues. I'm sure I don't appear to be a professional. I truly think below average is a more accurate rating but I'll stay at average. I'm so frustrated that I'm babbling this review. I'm glad I waited for my first movers. I want to give them a 5! I'd call them again anytime! They worked hard, appeared like they had done before many times. Your employees don't need to worry about me. I'll try and get out as soon as possible.

I can't say enough positive things about Mr. Daniel's and his work team at the U-Hail storage facility in Winterville.

mary d. | Overall ExperienceDONNA was extremely rude, lied, talked to me like I was her child and hung up the phone in my ear. Issue at the office regarding my belongings and move out date. I get there on the last day to remove the few items left and my items are gone from my unit. I was there the past 2 days. She told me I didn't know how to read my agreement, which in fact I was right being that it said "on or by" the date. You can get your items on that date! I even went to the office the day before and called later on. She told me my belongings were at the landfill (it was early in the morning) which she lied about being that they were on the truck. I didn't leave the store because I wanted my belongings, KNOW how to read, know my rights and knew they were on the truck. My unit was still open and had cracked locks with nothing in the unit. Luckily I took a picture of my agreement because the guy a few days prior mentioned that he couldn't print a copy because of their printer. She hung up on me while I'm in the store talking to the nice employer (she was on site, but in a unit and I had her personal business phone). When she came in, not knowing I was still there, she told me to call the landfill, another lie, and stated that she didn't hang up on us, another lie. She hung up while I was talking mid sentence asking if I can just get my belongings and the phone was on speaker. If I was in the wrong I would of excepted the fact, but I wasn't. She needs to be fair to everyone, not just who she chooses to. She called the police because she wanted me out of the store because I wanted my stuff and I was right. Other employees even knew she was in the wrong. The police officer and actual manager eventually came outside to me after going inside (I called the police too and even though I didn't have to leave out of the store because I wasn't trespassing, I was outside in my car). I was able to get my belongings being that I was RIGHT! All of what she did for nothing! The manager stated that she likes to go in there early to get a head start getting things out of units. No! You have to go by policy not just when you feel like it! The manager stated that she should of put a time on it for that day, which was not there. The officer informed me that I was right. AND the items were on the UHAUL parked right in front of the storage entrance on the side. I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. This was embarrassing and belittling!!!!! Her lack of care was sad with her smirked face. I didn't give my hand and tell her who I was, what I knew and titles I hold because she was going off of appearance alone. Treat people how you want to be treated and know your own paperwork. This situation was worst in person.

I also like that there are carts to help with moving in and moving out, and a space to donate items. I used this facility for more than two years before completing my final move. My initial payment was $64.95 per month, and when I completed my move, the payment was $79.95 per month.
