Check engine light on when I picked up and stayed on the whole time. Agent took the equipment I was using app to check out which required a bunch of rework for me - how can you system all this to happen?! Very poor experience.

I requested a 6:00 AM pickup and was later called to say that this location did not have that service and the earliest I could receive my truck was 7:00 AM. I would have appreciated knowing that the time I picked was not possible when making the reservation, not in the evening when it was too late to find another location.

JESSICA H.Our uhaul was visually clean, but smelled so foul. When we picked it up the back was open, I assume because the workers were trying to air it out. About an house into having it we opened the back to load our belongings and were hit in the face with the most horrendous smell. The entire back of the vehicle was filled with a stench I can only compare to death. I called customer service immediately about the issue, but they told me that there weren't any other uhauls available for days. Needing to be moved out by the end of the next day that wasn't going to work so we were stuck with it. We used Lysol and other air fresheners to try and get it out but no luck. Some of our furniture items smelled like the stench after we unloaded them and I had to let them air out outside before bringing them in. I'm not sure why or how a giant metal box essentially can end up smelling that bad, but wow what an unpleasant experience.

When I returned the gal that inspected and disconnected the trailer did so fast and efficiently the I was on my way. Awesome job!!

CURTIS R.I was told the truck was cleaned. In reality the ramp was completely covered it dry dirt and sticks and leaves. From top to bottom it was covered it dirt and debris. Also, the floor surface in the attic portion of the truck was covered in smeared mud. It looked like someone tried to clean it but just smeared the dirt around. It was so dirty and muddy I had to clean it before I could use it.

The only thing that keeps me from giving an Exellent rating is the fact that their was less fuel in the vehicle when I got in it, compared to how much was marked on the contract. I don't understand how people can get something like that wrong, but it really did reduce the quality of the overall experience. I travelled 29 miles and put 3 gallons of fuel in the van, but still had to worry I was going to get charged for more fuel. The customer shouldn't have to have those kinds of concerns.

OSCAR I.I did not want a dolly. I told them did not want a dolly. So do thank how mad I was when I opened the back door and there in my way was a dolly. I need a 15 foot truck for one reason the width of the door and then in my way is a dolly I can't move. Or it's going to cost me something I did not want. And then when I lower the ramp if was really dirty with rocks and dirt so I had to clean the ramp. Any way that's it.

LESLIE J.The South Auburn Way UHaul has been my go-to for all my moving needs for many years. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful. I trust them. This move was the most peculiar one I've ever experienced in my life. Pandemic issues trying to get moving help and the fact I moved 25 miles away as well as onset of a personal disability. The use of a one month storage unit was a genuine life saver. It was clean and safe and perfect for my temporary need. I have recommended this business so many times and will continue to do so. In about a year or so when I plan to move back to Auburn, I will return. The only thing I found challenging is the company's new procedure for ALL calls to go through an off site call center. I understand the reasons and help to the individual stores. For the customers, however, needing to talk to the site staff, its a real pain.
