Customer service is lacking. Do not greet customers when entering the store and act as if they are being â€œput outâ€ when interacting with customers. Truck was not at the promised location and no phone call prior. Went to new location and still no truck. Employee acted as if He was not going to provide a truck when I had a reservation for more than a MONTH! I had movers scheduled and needed to be in San Antonio the next day. U-Haul must do a better job having reserved vehicles ready for customers or their reputation will continue to degrade.Kevin O.
The whole experience was crap. Set a reservation for a uhual and moving blankets a month in advance. Get to the day â€œwe already ran out of moving blankets, oh and the uhual is completely out of gas.â€ What is the point in reserving something if it doesn't hold it for you? I instead had to go buy a bunch of blankets to move. The uhual had 141k miles on it, was ran into the ground with a transmission that would hardly ever shift, it would just high rev then eventually slam into gear. Then i go to drop the vehicle off before office hours, the website isn't working so I cannot get it checked in, whatever, i leave the keys and the invoice in the drop box. Around 1Pm i still had not received an invoice. Call, call, call, call. Nobody ever answers the freaking phone. So now we had to travel all the way back into town to find out that it wasn't ever checked in. Fix this store. Get a new manager or something, because obviously he/she gives no care about the customer.Taylor B.
The workers had other customers when I arrived, and would just get up and leave but not acknowledge my presence, like to at least say â€œ Myself or someone will be with you soonâ€. That was when I went the first time, second time was when I returned the equipment and the guy assisting me was worse, we established why I was there and he asked me I wanted a receipt and I said yes, then he got up didn't say where he was going and literally had me and my boyfriend in there for 30 minutes waiting, so I sent my boyfriend out to see where he was and my boyfriend said he was standing between the trucks on his phone and say my boyfriend and put his phone up right away! Over all staff at this location VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! And upon receiving the worst service, I was overcharged! Had a receipt for one price and my bank account showed a more different amount! The service here was great. Judy was extremely helpful in guiding me though the process. I purchased all of the insurance including roadside assistance. On my trip I had a blowout on the left front tire. It was not just a flat but a blowout. I was on Hwy 84 between Snyder and Post, Tx, when it occurred. It was around 6pm. I called roadside assistance where it was over an hour to get someone to answer my call. While waiting I completed the help request on the app giving all of the details. When eventually getting someone on the phone to assist I downloaded pictures of the blown tire and damaged rim. I gave my exact location and direction of travel. Hours passed before being notified that someone out of Midland, Tx, was coming to replace the tire and rim with a 3 hour ETA. Knowing that uhaul knew via my records what kind of truck I was in I still gave details of which tire was blown, pics of that tire and the make and model of the truck to roadside assistance. The wrecker driver showed up with the right tire but the wrong rim. He then is being told to return to Midland a d advises me to call roadside assistance back to have them send someone else. By this time I am livid and I tell roadside assistance I have had it because they were not able to provide a service I had already paid for. I was advised that there was no one available to assist me but offered to have me towed to the nearest hotel. I said fine where I was told to wait for a call back. The wrecker that came and left returned to advise me he is now being told to tow me to Lubbock, Tx, to a hotel there 75 miles away. He then realizes that because I also was pulling a car dolly he would then have to return to pick that up after taking me to Lubbock. Remember he still has to eventually go back to Midland. I get a call from roadside assistance where she explains that she can't tow me to Post and get a room because they don't have a contract with anyone there. I explained how ridiculous this all was including the nonsense behind the back and forth effort to get all of the equipment to Lubbock. She said let me call you back and she eventually did. Its now almost 2am. She calls back where she said she was able to get me a room in Post. We unloaded the car and I followed the wrecker 28 miles to the hotel in Post. He dropped the truck, went back and got the car dolly. I check in to the hotel at 3am after going thru hell with roadside assistance and losing a day of travel. Someone arrived the next morning put a tire and rim on and I was back on the road. I tell you all of this because I am a very sour consumer trusting that an alleged renown company would be able to proved a product that they proudly advertise. UHaul obviously needs to fix a huge problem and they can start by refunding me my money for all of my inconvenience including putting my safety in question on the side of a busy hwy in the middle of nowhere for many hours of the nightRandall B.

The 24/7 pickup did not work for me. When I logged in to pick up the truck, it could not find my position even after confirming my smartphone setup was correct. I had to go in to the facility to check out the equipment. Other than that, all else was fine.John Z.

The locations were fine. The fact that we had to drive four extra hours a day later than we booked a truck to get a truck, that part it so good. We were confirmed and given the option to pay before we were told there was no truck in our area on the day we requested. We had to drive two hours a day later and drive back to our location two hours before we could begin our move, and the call center person did not even know the correct date of our pick up. So we find out at 6 PM the day before we are to get a truck at 9:30 AM the next morning that all that won't happen. That is not a good dealâ€¦Marlin C.
The location service was fine but Uhaul treats people terribly. We had a reservation for 6 weeks and got there to not have a truck available anywhere in town. THATS WRONG AND YOU DO IT ALL THE TIME. I was told I was signed up for a deal of $79ish for 100 miles @ $0.29/mile yet my receipt said I was charged 116 miles @ $0.69/mile. I questioned what the breakdown was for the original deal I was signed up for. They said I got the deal and the computer just figures it up and that I received the deal. I asked how I am to make sure I wasn't overcharged and charged incorrectly. The guy told me that there's no way the computer could have charged me incorrectly, it does it automatically so I felt stuck. I feel I was, likely, overcharged. I even guestimated when I signed up that I would use 200 miles so that I wouldn't go over. I'm just not confident in the transaction and the guy seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with looking into it (or likely didn't know how to research my concern) and I was dropping off the van on my way to work and didnt have enough time to push the matter; nor did I want my husband to get involved and make a scene. Therefore, I just let it go. Lucky for U-haul. Probably worked to their advantage and I got screwed. Ugh!Kathryn K.

Problem with maintaining equipment. They went through three trailers before they could find one that I was able to take! Hitch did not work on first on. Lights did not work on second one. They had to do repair to the third one before I could take it. They were very apologetic for the issues, but I was there over an hour trying to get my trailer, not to mention I had to stand in line for 20 minutes waiting on two people in front of me due to only one person behind counter.ROBERT W.

Assure people who stop in to set up for a uhaul rental that the information is not kept on record. I assumed all the questions answered on the day I made my appointment pickup date were being viewed by the employee I was giving money to. Turns out I had to re-answer a number of questions including do I want Insurance, how much, Do I want a dolly, etc, etc. The employee helping me did not ask if I needed a dolly in my second round of questioning. When the uhaul was being attached to my truck I just happened to ask if the dolly was in the back end. End up - NO Dolly. I had to go back inside and take care of the issue. I was unhappy to re-answer questions I had previously answered. Just let the customer know upfront that the only info saved is the name, date of pickup and destination. A bird flew in front of me on the interstate and struck the blinker lens. The blinker lens broke. The rest of the headlight lens and assembly is still in fine condition. The lens for the blinker on this van costs between $20 and $40 online. The actual replacement of the lens takes five minutes, and requires no special mechanical abilities or knowledge. Certainly someone on staff there at UHaul could replace it. Not to mention, I know you guys insure your rental vehicles. It's not like this is costing UHaul any money to fix. There is no way it should cost $150 (additional) to replace such a cheap and easily replaced part. Especially considering the fact that I actually didn't make any errors in driving or strike anything myself. People cannot control the movements of birds. I didn't even see it until the instant it flew in front of me. I was up front with UHaul about what happened. And I regret that. It seems that it pays to lie to UHaul and hope they don't find the damage. Because if you are honest and up front with them, they will damn sure charge you for it. If you lie, there's a chance at getting away with it. It's an imperfect company policy, as it incentivizes customers to lie and take their chances, while punishing those who are honest. I try to do everything by the book. I'm used to people rewarding someone for their honesty. Or at least not punishing them for it. The circumstances were beyond my control and I will never forget how angry UHaul has made me over this insignificant issue. This should not have been a big deal to UHaul or to me. Things happen. Lenses are easily, and cheaply replaced. They should have just taken the explanation and kept the rate what it was. Or even charge me the $20-$40 it actually costs to replace the part. Hell, make it $50 and throw $10 in there for the 5 to 10 minutes it takes to replace the lens. But $150 for a $20 part doesn't add up in my world. Had I actually stuck something, for example, backed into a light pole, I would happily pay the $150 waiver. It's a good deal if there is actual damage to the vehicle. However, when the damage is minute, a customer is in no way incentivized to be honest by the current policy in place. If I had only been charged the cost of the lens, I would be inclined to do business with UHaul in the future. I have had good experiences with UHaul in the past. I can take responsibility for the price of a new lens. I do not accept responsibility for 300%-750% the cost of a new lens (depending on which price it is purchased at). This situation makes my blood boil and I will go far out of my way to avoid using UHaul or their products again. I will inconvenience myself, out of spite, to make sure I do not give UHaul anymore of my money. Call it petty if you want. I just call it being an informed consumer. I was very dissatisfied with the service I received. Moving into my unit should've been super easy because I had a reservation, but when I got there you didn't have a unit available in the size I reserved and your employees tried to railroad me into paying more for a bigger unit when I didn't need more storage space. On u-boxes, you are great but vehicle storage is horrible. My Motorhome was vandalized and catalytic converter was stolen. It had only been in storage for 5 weeks. You refund my money for July storage. Then texts are sent to me about not paying and late charges. Received several of this texts from Dan Somers. It took multiple calls to straighten this out. I have never had a bad experience with Uhaul outside of every time I visit or use this location it takes so long for me to helped or get anything done. Staff are very helpful and kind, but facility is very understaffed. All I needed to do was check out of my unit and I waited 35 minutes just to hand in a lock and get a receipt. The only complaint I have with U-Haul is in regards to the processing automatic draft payments and the $15 dollar processing fee associated with deactivated debit cards. In this modern electronic banking world in which we all live, fraudulent activity on one's debit/bank account is very common occurrence. Fraudulent activity almost always triggers one's debit card to be deactivated by the issuing banking institution and requires the holder of the debit card to contact every entity that has an automatic draft or auto pay associated. Rather than offer a courtesy call, email, etc. when a payment is declined by a debit card that has been deactivated due to fraudulent activity, U-Haul simply adds a $15 fee as if the account was overdrawn. Had a vehicle in storage for months and turns out this location leaves the gate open all hours of the day and night and pays no attention to customer belongings. I decided to have the car shipped to me upon finding this out, the truck driver was able to enter the facility, work with a local tow driver, get to the back where my truck was, load it and drove off without so much as a gate code. Had also been trying to get in contact with the employees on location to help set up the shipping and for over a month all I could reach is corporate customer service because the location refused to answer or return any calls. I also ended up paying an extra month because of the same issue. Do not reccomend. Search elsewhere for a storage facility.andrea m. | Overall Experience
